Layers of meat and cheese,
Lined with flat, thin pasta,
Looking, smelling, tasting
Like it's heaven-sent, I
Love the savoury tang,
Letting the sauce and spice
Linger on my taste buds.

Unsigned: the bullet that entered my chest
No sender’s name and no sender’s address
So be this my lot then I shall find peace
In knowing I died a hero at least
Go now my brothers and crush this assault
No man that dies here shall have died for naught
Each man who falls while still holding his gun
Dies for the freedom of all and of one
Bring woe to those who would snatch us from Earth
Under these skies that shall witness our worth
Linger a while should you face your life’s end
Lest you may rise up to bear arms again
*
Even ’pon seventy years here I stand
To honour the brave who fought for our land

Father of three
Arthur by name, the arts were his passion
Teacher of accounting, Little League, whistling
Heard on radio performing original children’s stories
Even tempered, steadfast mentor and protector
Raised by an aunt to be the father he never had
Singer, dancer, player of the sax and clarinet
Dad, this Father’s Day I stare at your portrait
And a few teardrops fall again
Your absence is never missed more than on Fathers Day

Labeled as a healthful
Legume, this root is sweet
Like sugar, but with a
Long-lasting, stronger taste!
Lollipop licks of it
Linger on my tongue. I
Love its unique flavor!

I woke to the sound
of tears echoing
form a downspout
Heard the sobbing
whispering between
the leaves
As I listened in
the stillness
I heard moans
coming from the earth
I walked around
my so called garden
with cup in hand
my toes all wet
From tears of the Angels
who shed their tears
in joy and anguish
The trees were alive
in the deafening sound
of Bees at work
As the shadows
inger in the
dim daylight
The morning air growing sultry
from the lingering embrace
of morning light and late darkness
in their eternal love affair
Slowly at first the leaves
begin to move shaking
of the Angels tears
as the still cool
morning breeze
begins to rise
Shortly the passion
of a lover's breath
will carry through
the day as the
warmth of Summer
will kiss my skin
While within the
lingering shadows
the cooling caresses
fade and my beautiful
Terra cries out in
almost silence from
the poisons of man

O r my feeling know by the shade of my skin?
L ittle is known of what's inside by the colors therein.
O r do you imply from the color of my eyes that I am bright or dull?
