I
When mistakes (sins, really) occur
Again, again, again, again, again
Who has grace enough to forbear?
Maybe misguided mothers, not men
Like me ... Either old school or clear
About action-reaction, choice - consequence
II
All sides gain if there seems to be justice
With great mercy, grace, forgiveness
Or forgiveness is but a burdened brute
Like donkeys (old English "@asses")
That cannot get human consideration
Since none would take a donkey to tea
Or coffee, or - O my human brain - therapy
But you & I must feel our identity
As humans is respected; humans ought not beg for humanity
In the name of misguided forgiveness
On the one side only; error must pay & learn
Or forget forgiveness & all education
Such is the choice for this generation
"Goodbye civilization," or bring back repentance

The better the words
formed
The meaner they
became
‘free and alive
and stirred from the bottom
'hidden and denied
in moments of pain’
Taking on new life
they glare and they scowl
Staring back from the mirror
—my indulgent refrain

I dream of fairy tales
in the realm of romance
where every image hails
from passion's strong stance
for, I am a beautiful princess
with the exciting alter ego
of a seductive enchantress
whose alluring powers ever grow
I've been painted with the colors
of vibrant erotic magic
made vivid by love's contours
infinitely mysterious and exotic
I need my prince charming
to indulge my wicked fantasy
and keep the witch from harming
our exquisite ecstasy

Like melted chocolate,
words dripping
from his velvety tongue
rippled to her heart;
she tasted their rich flavor,
inhaled the aroma,
succumbing to
emotional intoxication.
She craved for more...
Seduced by luxuriant words,
her defenses weakened,
overpowered
by an irresistible urge
to bathe in love’s indulgence.
Opulent pleasures
caressed her thoughts.
Each syllable drew a sigh.
Her wish: to be sated
His unspoken promise: to fill her
with abandon – to thrill her.
She no longer dared
inhibit the demands
her soul was making;
this was hers for the taking.
Warning signs: DENIED!
She tasted the sweetness
gratifying her cravings
in his indulgent love.

I know a maid—her name is Rose.
She has long hair that’s thick and dark,
and great, green eyes like no one knows;
and she can sing just like a lark.
She loves to read, and is well-read:
she’s a genius, and knows a lot—
in truth, there’s so much in her head
to figure out than just let rot.
Glad to say she’s now a student
enrolled in classes at a college:—
how wonderful, how elegant,
that she attends a place of knowledge!
'Ere long, she’ll graduate with honors
and "summa cum laude" distinction,
with a master’s conferred upon her
to pursue disease intervention.
In all this time, I’ll support her;
and be the best friend that she needs:
I’ll be there to urge and exhort her,
to guide her from life's baleful "weeds."

A paling sun descends in late day; with a wink,
it signals the moon to rise. In only a blink
of my rested eyes, newly tanned limbs cool in the sand,
and the foamy tide sprinkles my lips with a salty drink.
New memories cover me like a soft terry-cloth robe
as I lazily lie alone on an exotic beach across the globe.
Distant, green-peaked mountains seem to climb to heavenly heights
where a gracious sky falls tranquil to the ocean’s gold-flaked lobe.
I selfishly indulge in this dream vacation all alone
without a speck of guilt or any thought of remorse shown.
Silky sand and bluest skies stretch out until the stars sink low
to meet upon secluded beach and crown me from fair summer's throne.

Awoken by the relentless noise
of the pelting raindrops,
frightened by the gusts
of the bending treetops,
I face an uncertain day that can't offer
any sweetness other than bitterness as my dose;
a low spirit like mine needs another powerful prayer!
Don't anxieties, swollen as clouds,
pathetically reflect a sad image...
as they let wishes slip away by leaving doubts
in a heart aching with loneliness and rage?
Shouldn't my day be indulgent and bright
without worries burdening this unhappy mind?
But rain adds to the surliness by hiding its light...
lovely would be a sunbeam and a cheerful sound!
