Premium Member11 First Morning Offering

O my (Eternal) God
I offer You all my prayers
Works
And sufferings
In union with the Sacred Heart of Fr. Christ
For the intentions for the intentions for which He pleads
And offers Himself in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
In thanksgiving for your favors
In reparation for my offenses
And in humble supplication
For my temporal welfare
For the conversion of sinners
And for the relief of the poor souls in the purgatory

I wish to gain all indulgences
Attached to the prayers I will say
And works I will perform this day
Amen

Premium MemberApril shower

a torrential rain drenched us today
much needed some would say

now, after the chaos, settles the calm
while the sun casts its golden glow
on one and all like a warm coat of honey

and we recall how darn lucky we are
to be alive as we eagerly await
oncoming summer indulgences

Ghosts

Fear no ghosts, nor demons in the night,
Nor werewolves, or shadowy spirits of light.
It's men I fear, whose hatred knows no end,
Whose rage and prejudice no bounds defend.
Fear not for rakshasas or witches of the past,
Animals die where go their souls at last?
Folklores, cleverly written to tell,
To bind generations in centuries old spell.

Indulgences were sold in the erstwhile time,
Not paying alms and tithes was deemed a crime.
To stop you from thinking, hearsay was invented,
Thus, critical thinking was strictly prevented.
Centuries old darkness continues to plays part,
Hiding the truth, spreading lies with art.
This devil resides in their mind’s deep pit,
And priests just fuels the fear to fit.

Premium MemberReleasing

Releasing egoism, vanity, and idle
  chatter destroyer of hope. What's
in it for you and me? Releasing
  Unconsciously second-guessing
  self, Overthinking situations that
no longer serve one's purpose. Releasing

Why want anything pushing it away?
Anxious thoughts hurt people, hurt people,
 Self-indulgences, False Evidence appearing
real, Bribes and cold, cruel-hearted individuals,
failures, illusions, and oppositions. Releasing

Premium MemberIn God's Garden of Life

I have known tender moments that have undone my soul
felt deep sadness and touched the cornerstone of
life's euphoria...
I have loved and lived, years of sacrifice and indulgences
brought my body to the font of satisfaction just to return
to a hunger I never knew I possessed;
I've experienced hate and anger, charity and mercy
"ACCEPTANCE AND REBUTTAL"
I have been both frugal and extravagant,
stung by a bee saved by a horse.
I was born wild and tamed way too soon,
Now I am living out my remaining years as a classic rose,
in God's beautiful garden of love.

Time To Pay the Piper

It's time to pay the piper and to realise no one wins,
As you face the consequences for your many mortal sins,
As you stand to face your judgement, and the scales of justice weighed,
As you rise to hear the verdict, I'm quite sure that you're afraid,
But it's time to pay the piper and there's nothing you can do,
If you're wondering how I know so much, I paid the piper too,
For my many self indulgences I frequently embraced,
And the payment it was high when consequences they were faced,
But there's nothing that is surer for his rules must be obeyed,
And eternal's his damnation if the piper goes unpaid.

Premium MemberIndulgences

An indulgence is the remission in whole or in part of the temporal punishment due to sin

An indulgence is not a pardon of sin, nor a license to commit sin, and one who is in state of mortal sin cannot gain an indulgence

There are 2 kinds of Indulgenses- Plenary and Partial

A Plenary indulgence is the remission of the temporal punishment due to sin

Partial indulgence is the remission of a part of temporal punishment due to sin

The Church by means of indulgences remits the temporal punishment due to sin by applying to us the merits of Jesus Christ, and thesuperabundant satisfactions of the Blessed Virgin Mother Mary and the saints; which merits and satisfactions are its spiritual treasury

To gain indulgence we must be in the state of grace and perform the works enjoined

Keeper of the Candle

The Keeper of the candle has immortal trust.
Note anyone who has ever held the handle
on secrets - sparks in the mind all set to combust,
the Keeper of the candle.

Without the intention of libelous scandal,
without insinuation from the upper crust,
without indulgences, I removed my sandal.

Standing on holy ground, with a heavenly thrust,
spirit/soul conquered Satan, that covert vandal.
And immortality was proved by One who's just,
the Keeper of the Candle.

Premium MemberInquisitive Dreams

Leonardo da Vinci felt flying
was possible, sketching wings in detail.
And the fact that birds flew kept him trying,
even when all of his efforts would fail.

An artist and a brilliant engineer,
he designed dreams drawn by his gifted pen.
But his passion for flying was sincere,
although that goal eluded him back then.

All his life, he invented contraptions
designed to unlock the secrets of flight.
And his alterations and adaptions
haunted his inquisitive dreams at night.

Yet, despite how much one may desire it,
some indulgences fate will not permit.

Premium MemberPlain and Simple

Embarrassed, humiliated, disgraced
By the lack of things
I came from

Humble, my family was humble
With meager possessions
No luxuries or waste
No suffocating expense
No extravagance

I longed for brand names
Like Levi’s and Wrangler
Nike and eventually
Under armor

I can’t be sure
But now that I have the
Indulgences, the extras
Those things I wanted
So ridiculously

I find that I’m more ashamed
Of the lavishness
I feel like I’ve squandered
Where I should have
Saved

Amenity judged harmless
Can destroy
The one
Who
Trusts
In
Riches

Treat yourself
To simplicity

It’s the simple things
That bring wealth
To the senses
Of one who listens
To the appeals
Of humility

Premium MemberGirlhood Stages--Edited

While sighs arose from dried marsh and clay,
the girl in me embraced an amiable virtue
born out of an affinity for our town’s revelries :
Oh those bouncy play with cousins
when burnt dusk kindly taught me
the wisdom of moon’s varied phases, fables,
then a soul tamed through older clans’ demise

as this ancient realm became a night keeper,
leading me unto stages of womanhood

Today, I am older, perhaps more dauntless…
yet nostalgia seeps into these heavy eyes
 where youth’s indulgences
are now gone, damp, acrid...
A bushfire searing our farmstead
like cinder on my hands bolstered my spirit

Though parish bells knell afar,
long gazes of abode ‘s remnants tear my flesh,
mirroring portraits of youth epiphanies

which now mold my present life's outlook…
a kind resolute amidst triumphs and hurdles.

Judgment 2

Reflexes boiled inside
more from Cumbria
they transform us every day
in ramapithecuses ...
even something on top ...
And the word Evolution
falls under the jurisdiction
of the Jungle,
who is not interested
from computers and Software.
Everyone buys indulgences
with money, bed
or the immortality of one's soul.
Why is his Soul,
when the body lives
without delights, Ferrari and Miami Beach ...
Another thing is when
she's only with lipstick,
Johnnie is very Walker,
and the beer is Amstel....
Oh, santa simplicitas!
