Hopeless

Hands of time are pacing, I'm idled and numb. Dreams and wishes that never wanna materialize, stare in the far reach of my hopes, only dust traces are witnessed. Impatience, cripples my sanity, I wanna comfront, point fingers but then I'm only a player in this game

check to those we ran on the same race, I'm miles behind, the gap creates drift of anger and faithless energies in me. I stumble in wonders, days of my persistance and devotion. scale of my achievements yet uttures in volumes so high to those of my competiters

sense of the matter in hand, runs in opposite direction to my mind. Though it's known to me, that success has no first runner but this fleshly mind and heart of mine are in dispute, I just can't cease this fire, wanna node yes but battling acceptance, wanna be patient but age and situation strangles me out of my body, wanna bow but head stiffens, wanna forge smile but dissapoint frowns me, constantly. I'm hopeless

Premium MemberHell is Going With Him

Relentless, empowering, with so many mountains to climb
Remorseless destruction, given on those who idled around
Youthful years spent wasted on anger never worth its time
Pursued until driven under this cold, listless barren ground

He had a mission given to him, before his own birth breath
Centuries before him, a devil’s power on his enemies to ail
Bring them all down, then left to wallow in their own death
Just to sight him was enough to render those demons pale

He was going beyond any hell known that all feared but he
Wiping this world, of those who would afflict beyond belief
To make all a better place only for the likes of you, and me
Not to be burdened with their woeful cries, thus their grief

Where God’s beyond, will feed upon, their perishable souls
With all their knowledge on a platter digested, as achieved
So, peace upon this world can reign once more, we control
So evil will no longer exist as we have all always perceived

Premium MemberBonnie and Clyde Legacy

the 1934 model 40 B Fordor deluxe sedan idled outside the gas station
Inside was Clyde Barrow, who was robbing the place
His moll, Bonnie Parker, sat inside the car, holding a shotgun

these notorious robbers were deemed “Robin hood figures”
This was the Great Depression; their crime spree teased imaginations
Stories and rumors followed them from Texas to Missouri

They took their gangster car to Oklahoma and New Mexico
Robbing gas stations, and small town banks
People liked watching them shoot things up and act wild

They were famous for their daring and their pizzazz
Bonnie was only twenty four when she died
Clyde was twenty-five, but they are remembered

and weirdly revered, even though they were gangsters
who terrorized people and small town bankers
they outsmarted the police for twenty-one months

their crime spree was a subject of books and a movie
which has continued their legacy; making them forever famous.

Love

Love
Topic Sentence: The one thing that poisons and endangers love, has always been the test of time.

For the stars shine bright,
On the loneliest of nights
To Give way a passage to Thee
The love I fear is somewhere near and dear to me

As my heart skips a beat,
Yours takes a seat,
Upon my idled thrown
And the flowers you bring, wilder than the wildest flowers ever grown

And if it weren’t for your smile,
Which stole my heart for a while,
Then your burden would have taken and heartened me

But alas this is love,
From the sweetest of all kingdoms and heavens above,
And none can deter me
From thee

Though love can be cruel,
Your love has been true
Open arms, filled with only warmth is what you have given me
Like a mother’s hug, as I remember it now, I can see it so vividly

And if life had been fair
Then my heart would not tear
And our love would have perfect symmetry
But a long-full sleep took you from me
For what felt like a century

And now you return
For the love you have earned
So I’ll go with you silently
But never forget, for our love,
how dangerous time can be

Premium MemberMuted

She had been stalked
Dark thoughts draped in silence
Ranting
Gnawing
Suckling
At the breast of doubt
Whimpering
In the shadowed suffering
Of idled indecision
Held hostage
By the blank page

You Spoke of Boundaries

you spoke of boundaries
allowed me but secret gates
acknowledged only in the shadows
my ability to separate your reason
from your logic
and that is what you
never cared for in me
words
you gave me many
that idled away
i loved you with blindness
i have but betrayed myself
but my desires desire no more
the curtain has fallen on the soliloquy
time to take the bow and leave
there are no floral arrangements
waiting in the dressing room
only the emptiness that was always there
this has you clinging
to what is already gone
desire is an empty street
where there is no address
the morning light never touched
upon your breasts
and in the end
we were emptiness
the worst of kindred spirits
sometimes when i look away
and i cannot remember her flower
there is a part of heaven in oblivion
where neuropathways slowly die

John's Departure

While his presidential jet idled on the runway
Many good people came to mourn
Oh,
A troubled American nightmare had woken
On that day when they murdered John
It was such a dark heartbreak moment
Men cried as his coffin became airborne
Voices of liberty echoed across the sky
As he left us
Broken and alone
Now beyond our tears
On his final journey home

Premium MemberBecause of You

Because of you
I wait idled and swimming in filth.
Because of you
I twitch forty times the way of God.
Because of you
I stake a flat iron face
In front of your front.
Because of you
Sixteen candles
Mean seventeen frowns.
Because of you my house burns
In sweaty, ballsy gumption.
My hand gives awkward
Pause until the lead dog points and shoots.
Because of you
I cry sweet soda tears
And kiss the faces on the TV.

Paradise Psalms

Island drums midst strewn drafts, echoes,
Involved labyrinths summon by themes,
Some rhapsody erupts, purging rocks,
Every village, swelling amid chants,
Empty huts, crowds around fires,
Swayed hips, held lips sparks,
Duality exposed in harmony,
Illuminates isles inherent,
Entertaining charisma,
Captivating trusting,
Vessels in passing,
Amongst alluring,
Souls escorted,
To a dreamt,
Paradise.

ship swells midst idled
labyrinths heed gifted calls
answers anchored hearts

Look Closely

Look closely
between the bars.

   Look at
     pain, angst, hunger
       businesses idled.

             A prison
             enough --
             her empty
             salon.

Bills mount up
employees
look elsewhere for work.

     "Law's broken; I've spoken -
                 Jail!"

I see blind men,
Look closely.

A Cricket In a Thicket

As I idled on the grass
I heard a little cricket,
But I could not see him though,
He was somewhere in a thicket.

I found his chirping charming
An engaging chap was he,
But just where he was chirping from,
Was quite a mystery.

Yet I did not search I listened
That was quite enough for me,
He could chirp away all day
I enjoyed his company.

Cut

I stood motionless
the breath scratching its way to surface
seconds idled into minutes
watching like a predator in its prey sight
Her selective form withdrawing into darkness
Will held me captive
slowly drowning in the morose
Etching her shape
in forgotten shadow
The war between need and loss
accumulating in an arrow pierced tear
This sweetest sorrow somehow stale
and parting never to be twain ed
The end of us
Turn away
the unheard voice utters from beneath
but holding onto hope
as it burns its faltered escape
and reality aborted by her trace
can be tracked rolling down my face

Premium MemberOn Zarker Street

Zarker Street was treeless,
		front porches of houses
		reaching the sidewalk,
not a square inch of grass
		to welcome even a weed.

		The polio ambulance, like a
		a hungry animal, idled
In front of Ronnie Dasher’s house,
his brother being carted to the curb,
		bound for an iron lung.

All the kids, having run inside,
		watched from behind the windows.
		“Mama, mama will I die?
I talked to him last week.”
How do you get away, get away?

		In Miss Laken’s voice studio
		at the corner of Twentieth,
		a soprano student yearns
		to reach the higher branches
		of a more capacious garden.

The Morning Lost

How I rued the morning lost,
For I slept late, till ten,
I love to watch the rising Sun,
But I had missed it then.

I like to rise with the birds,
To hear them greet the day.
But this morn I idled,
The hours just slipped away.

All had met the new born day,
As bleary eyed, I rose.
The birds had sang, the Sun was up,
As lazily, I'd dozed.

It was but a single day,
The Sun would rise tomorrow.
Yet to miss a single one,
Fair fills my heart with sorrow.
