Look Closely

Look closely
between the bars.

   Look at
     pain, angst, hunger
       businesses idled.

             A prison
             enough --
             her empty
             salon.

Bills mount up
employees
look elsewhere for work.
    
     "Law's broken; I've spoken -
                 Jail!"

I see blind men,
Look closely.

Poteet May 12, 2020 at 9:04 PM It is a great form, rather like a form for free verse, sort of. I have written two yalto thus far and will keep it in mind for use again.
