Do you remember when you told me that story
of all the Planets in the sky and how they all
had different jobs and had different people they
were in charge of? That Uranus was a magician
and he was friends with all the squirrels and mice
or that Neptune was a mystic and for half a dollar
he could tell me how I’d die and I said that I’d rather
save the half a dollar to buy a gumball and watch
the pink or blue or yellow orb roll down the runway
until it hit the metal door of the dispenser with a clink.
I remember you laughed at that. I remember that your
stories would shrink the miles and the hours down
into manageable parts until the eighteen hour road trip
ended in Des Moines and you said, exhausted,
Saturn was the bringer of Old Age but that you
hypothesized that if we stayed in the car and just
kept driving that Saturn would just get tired
and leave us alone so we packed up and took
the nearest exit for the Yukon Territory. You
looked beautiful then, basking in Saturn’s rage
and you still haven’t aged a damn day.
This is the weight of a soul imagine what 21 grams can do?
This is not a myth
Wikipedia
The 21 grams experiment refers to a scientific study published in 1907 by Duncan MacDougall, a physician from Haverhill, Massachusetts. MacDougall hypothesized that souls have physical weight, and attempted to measure the mass lost by a human when the soul departed the body. MacDougall attempted to measure the mass change of six patients at the moment of death. One of the six subjects lost three-fourths of an ounce (21.3 grams).
Explain to me how you cannot believe?

Dance with me..
Our hands held together
As we glide across the floor..
In the shimmering moonlight..
Only the two of us..
Dancing the night away
Our eyes meet
Deeply..
We gaze into each others eyes
Mesmerized..
Hypothesized..
Feeling in a trance..
Then..
Feeling a rush ..
As we move gracefully
Twisting and turning..
Our bodies swaying..
Connecting to the music..
The two of us are one ..
With the music..
A glorious vibration..
All of my troubles have vanished..
Painful becomes..
Painless..
As my sorrows have slipped away..
Dance with me..
As this is the only moment that exists..
The two of us..
Shimmering moonlight..
Your gaze..
My gaze..
A magical trance..
An embrace..
Along a magical dance..
I waited... I surmised
I know I agonized
Of course... I never realized
Springtime was disguised
I pondered... I personalized
I know I criticized
Of course... I never recognized
Spring had improvised
I questioned... I vocalized
I know I dramatized
Of course... I verbalized
Spring had not arrived
I charted... I analyzed
I know I hypothesized
Of course... I never was more surprised
A third Nor'easter materialized
I remember... I fantasized
I know I rationalized
Of course... I never romanticized
That spring would be winterized

When all emotions fail, resort to what you should know.
Facts.
Reality is the only weapon one can use to escape the bitter-sweet pain the human heart
will trap itself into.
Bindingly complex cages that imprison what little is left from the sanity of a psychotic
mind may only be unlocked through truth.
By raising yourself above the lies that surround you in every direction, the darkness
which can and will possess your mind may be abolished.
Perception is but a misconception without science and tests to prove its worth of belief.
Even if you think what you are doing is the only tactic to a solution, be wise and accept
that what you perceive to be correct may just be an ideology that your mind has
incorrectly hypothesized.
If you're going to be wrong, be open-minded enough to find the reasoning and logic that
you first missed or else you lack a vital characteristic that portrays the intellect of
the human mind.
Am I nothing more than shedding skin
The epidermis of a microbial mistake
DNA strands stretched over infinite space
The free flowing prose of linear evolution
Winter hexagons and Summer triangles
Andromeda, Perseus, & the mighty Hercules
Fabled forms of coincidental constellations
Names drawn by our conspiring consternation
As cryptic comets blaze pastel nights
Genesis hypothesized by philosophical eyes
Meticulously immortalized with bound antiquity
Proverbs quoted for fear of a religious ruse
Decried by atheists of heliocentric hues
Quantum physics validating life’s variation
As agnostics attempt to eclipse indignation
But for every Big Bang there is an end
Autumn cannot Spring from nothing
And no matter what creation portends
Intelligence is relative by design
