Hungry Bear

Playful mood that changes from stomach's growl,
He lumbers from the food-scarce forest hill,
Where naught is found, not fruit nor wing of fowl.
The shop in town he enters to a chill,
Where's found iced cream. He stuffs until  his fill.
A bear, a meal, and a mood quite cheery,
His favored flavor eaten? STRAWBERRY.

Betting on ideologies 

Are painting better days 

Putting their last dollar 

Each on his own horse

Circus Squeals

I am a circus freak—

collar popped,
polka dots.

You throw apples
and boo;
I hate all of
you too.

I’m not bothered,
though.

One day, I’ll
start a revolution
and set fire to this
whole place.

Too Precious to Contain

Perfume of tremendous worth,
Emptied from an airtight jar,
Left a sweet fragrance in the air,
As roses on a spring morn.
