Hungry Sparrows

I thought I was retired until given a bag of wild bird feed using my red bird bath I placed in a blue bowl full of the seed Not long and a lone sparrow flew into the bowl soon joined by a flock of them I sat and watch the show They would flutter about and land pecking their food throwing more seed out of the bowl but a sparrow shrewd Upon the ground he had a feast but others saw his plan and birds were all about eating where they land Then suddenly up the tree branches they would swirl as if dancing in a cyclone the sparrows seemed to whirl Not a minute later they would flutter back down feasting on the feed in the bowl and the ground as if spooked they would dart into the sky not a single one even bother chirping bye So now I buy bags of seeds to feed them everyday and using other bird baths for water to drink and play I check the feed at least twice a day and clean the water for birds leave it dirty after play Once a dove was nesting in the bowl of seed eating it and pecking sparrows if they tried to feed Then something spooked the dove and off it flew the sparrows crowded in gorging on their food It's fun to watch the little birds fill their bellies full as long as they use the neighbors yards to empty their stools.
