Premium Member The Curlews Flight

The Curlews flight.
Means it’s goodnight.
The dark, cool air.
I hear you up there.

The Curlews flight.
Passage through the night.
Their place to roost.
Safe as my little hoose!

The Curlews flight.
Signals it is goodnight.
The beautiful sound in the air.
Invisible in the night time glare.

The Curlews flight.
I can only wish goodnight.
To the people and wildlife out there.
Who, like me heard the sound in the air.

Premium Member Advice From Professor Hoose Gooser

We should do something Professor Hoose Gooser said.
Of course this was years ago, today this old coot is dead.
It is too late now said the new believers. We will be boiled alive.
You are all crazy said the ignorant. They numbered a million and five.

Climate change is a myth, the Redowner Drippers replied.
Okay agreed the Sniff Puckers, but our relatives are boiled alive.
Fake news! Screamed the Hillbillingers. Shut up you dumb clucks.
We were irritated now, especially my scientific Uncles, the Chucks.

Should we build a bomb shelter underground? People would ask.
This was done in the fifties and it was a most arduous task.
Professor Hoose Gooser appeared to me in a dream the very next day.
It is too late, he told me. Grab your ankles, jump off a cliff and just pray.

Sheepfold

S-eek the true sheepfold,
H-ope for the soul's salvation;
A-llow not your own life to walk the road to perdition.

A-im at the sheepfold,
S-earch for the narrow door;
U-ntil you finally find
N-o way but the Savior.
C-hoose the one right path,
I-t's more precious than gold;
O-n January twenty-second,
N-ever ignore the sheepfold.
