Through a Tiffany Window

Touched by the whisper of a coral dawn,
Morning opens a casement portal
And steps into a garden –
A crystalline cathedral -
Where the alabaster breath of dawn
Enchants dusk
With rippled amber rhythms
In between ascending yellows
Spoken as a love poem.

First light
Shapes daylight
Fragments of lavender
Perfume iris’ blooms
Roundels of golden petals
 Sing
With southern smiles
In magnolia blooms
Spoken as a tender sonnet in glass.

Serenity speaks in daybreak
Hushed murmurs
Of a trickling river,
Born in blue-grey mountains,
Silently slide
Into azure waters
As opaque morning mists
Float
Above sapphire stillness

Frosted grace
Clothes hills
In rounded curves of blues
And moss
Aurora’s triumph snug
In lines of armature
The glazers journey
Hones broken shards
Into beauty.

Premium MemberImagination

“Imagination hones our thoughts to soar
      above the ordinary ones that bore.”
                                           _by Poet

Imagination is a special gift
that silently directs how we will live;
directing inner visions which may drift
into creations we can share or give.
These are refined within a mental sieve
into creative feats, most times through art.
For poems, paintings, and good music start
from mind's imagination passed to soul,
and reinforced by feelings in the heart-
from just an inner blur to something whole.

Premium MemberLiving Out

Life in the phase of living it out is still enjoying itself
It produces small reasons for contentment
It hones the skill of distracting itself with trifles
Not unsuccessfully it attempts to insert a smile wherever possible
Knowing that there are no hopes, it hopes
In full accordance with the foolish saying that hope dies last
Life tries to become more foolish in order to gain strength
Still keeps some secrets nobody cares to know
It lies in bed with open eyes
Watching the performances of the sky or the chandelier
But life never looks inside itself
It must be damp and poorly lit down there
Wouldn't it be easier to play solitaire
Or look at the pictures of the sea again.

Premium MemberThe Axe Grinder

He hones his purpose on a stone whet of spite,
Edge kissed to gleam in the dead of night.
Relentless is the echo tuned to hindsight.
Endless in the knowing his cause is right.

His grip is firm, his whetstone flat.
His purpose honed to revenge in tit-for-tat.
The axe grinder, can't ever get over that.
Old grudges are ground in, with spittle spat.

The sparks fly from grinding wheel.
Spun to remove the scars in steel.
Caught in armor on the leg and heel,
Of the foe that stood up from their kneel.

Sharper minds cut cleaner truer lines,
In wood chips, slivers, shaves and fines,
Cut deeper deeper in, to find the quick that binds,
The grinder to the hurt and pain he mines.

miraculous immersion
in illusionary space-time
containerised in organic form
borrowed from elements
leaves us astonished

here we are then
both captive and free
positioned as we wish to be
that contrast hones love
making us complete

Premium MemberUndoing the Disarmament of Venus de Milo: Aphrodite Gets Her Biceps Back

Tombs begin to bloom like raw, bloodless wounds.
Tomes are written with truths of her dead moon’s
tones. A keening lunacy keeps the dirges alive, while
bones rise out of repose. A degloved hand on the dial
hones into a night rainbow's radio, she runs on solar,
hopes for the rhythm to wrench free from her toller—
copes with the captivity of being bodiless hands. Twilight
comes to chance escape—open palms toward birthright.
Coves burst into flame; a hungry fire wants holier water.
Coven circles, recovers the skinless limbs of their daughter.

Woven like song, sirens' balm to restore coats of missing arms,
women are spells read correctly, using words as our alarms,
woken to language, resurrecting ancient pairs of sacred charms.

Premium MemberSummer Brings Beaming Smile

Written: June 10, 2024

                      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was in wildlife that my soul was born,
Enjoying serenity under the night stars.
My heart was never designed to lorn,
Along paths not yet trodden, no scars.
To struggle through brittle stones,
Subtle shades surround lush trees.
Whose dulcet azure dusk hones,
Sets blaze to all that is in the breeze.
And when it's dark outside at night,
Sate a bite of the night sky in sight.
To recall my soul, just close your eyes,
Set my heart close to yours, and rise.
I searched for stones and oaks,
On the edges of my stumbling feet.
To tell the truth, I once searched for jokes,
Walking between your heartbeats.
So plump and round on a summer night,
The aroma of fields fried in sunshine fills the air.
Inhale and hold your hand to your spright,
When you search for me, I'll be there.
The Unappreciated Woman
Just take a good look at me;
My frame is attractive!
It does the unsated
appetite of the chauvinist
fuel.
My curves and your fantasies
are mutually inclusive!
Without them, dreams
are truncated.
But I am an orgasmic
symbol.
The self opinionated chauvinist
designs me in his sub-conscious
to serve and be utterly subservient.
I am incarcerated as a chef,
and timeless baby sitter.
A baby machine for a
patriarchal dynasty.
My education is a threat to chauvinist ego.
My ignorance hones his misogynist confidence,
whilst my erudite head
retards his self esteem and worth.
The illiterate orgasmic symbol is his
ideal and virtuous woman.
The smarter and more professional
is the age-old Jezebel.
My chastity and virginity
are twin virtues of a
mutilated genitalia.
My restrained sex urges are
designed for his unrestrained
proclivities and gratification.
I must be restrained,
for him to be unrestrained,
because, share him I must
with two or three others of
my kind.
But take another good look at me,
and see a versatile womb-man!
Translate each prejudice of yours'
and see my remarkable antonyms.
not only not counting
even forgetting
milestones
we are wonderstruck as spirit
beauteously consciousness hones
behold how a flower blossoms
unfolding petal by petal
likewise we too ascend
the only doing we do
is will to God’s magnetism bend
life unfolds by itself
replay of what is already impulsed
déjà vu experiences confirms our view
yet our heart takes delight
in imbibing each new bliss beat hue
X marks the spot - teeny fingers tap colors.
Youngster’s attentive to the rainbow bars.
Language of a rambunctious or prissy toddler.
Oscar music songbook exalts experience.
Potent stick and head, of a kinetic hammer,
Hones in on the eight tones, piercing the eardrum
Of the voracious student sounding the glockenspiel.
Newness of counting, colors, pounding, music;
Eyes, ears, and fine motor skills titillated.
Irrefutable evolution conduits
        Matter tip toes through tunnels
        Microscopic nano shifts continue
        Outperformers filter free of funnel
        Replicas of kept traits hail heredity
        Thrivers cognate with larger logic
        Attentive nurture forms pedigree
        Love poured over timid progeny
        Genome keys cut exacting bones
        Entrapped wrapped sticky chrysalis
        Nature photocopies, care duly hones
        Elevating banquet, perpetual Christmas
The Moment of Blooming
Suddenly an idea out of nowhere enters your thought.
The origin of the idea is something to be sought.
The beginning of a process that hones the attention and the intention to a very fine point.
Much more than just a dew drop in time as a drop from an infinite ocean has the same properties connected and joined.
Splitting Heirs
A little dance around Stonehenge
As KCIII plots his revenge
No longer ignored
The King hones his sword
Heads will roll as pseudo friends cringe
KCIII's new horrorscope reads:
"Guess what? Today, William succeeds!
The stars explain
Your drop of reign
You plotted revenge but not deeds!"
