Hommage To Trees

The trees, big or small, high or low,
Are the nicest things in the world,
They wouldn’t hurt a fly, a sparrow,
They host all the birds, blue or white
Summer or winter, in the mountains or plains,

They’re the nicest thing in the world,
They retain water and incredible poisons,
What varied fruits, gifts in their branches,
Oranges, plums, juicy pears, yellow lemons,
And all the sunny mangoes, I forget a lot,

They spread the forests of South Carolina,
Those of the two Virginias, those of Manitoba,
They feed animals, they protect butterflies,
The trees are so nice, indeed, magical,
They stop storms on gigantic cities,
They may poets find refuge in America,

Trees are the nicest thing on earth,
They offer the paper to great writers,
Energy to elephants with big ears,
Around the Breton squares, they do a soothing dance,
Watch them offer peace, and rest,
To scientists, tired engineers, doctors,
Trees are the nicest thing in the world,
Love them, love them, they just wait for it.

Sleep little tulip the night has come
You need your rest before morning sun
Close up your pistil, fold in your leaves
Tuck all your petals into their sleeves
And while you're asleep I'll be here close by
I'll whisper my love in the breath of a sigh
For my love is silent, none know how I long
I keep to myself, save for poem and song
And if the day comes when no more I can say
I'll still love you tulip, just from far away

Premium MemberGame of Starbucks

I am standing
In a line scene
Cuz my body
Needs its caffeine

And in front of me some dink
Orders a confusing drink
Now he’s changing ‘round his order
With our patients growing shorter

And a sword from
Someone’s pocket
Now sticks through the
Guy’s eye socket

Du du du du
Du du du du
Du du du-du du-du du-du...

Heart To Heart

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hold it in your hand.
Look into the dark tunnels of it arms,
or are they ears? Peer into those inviting
depths; look right, then left and leap
into the warm embrace.

Spit when it taunts you.
Watch the cider-scented trail
mark out each cut and graze,
scars that lay like an A to Z
around the atrium, adding to the haze.

Let it lie against your chest
cuddling the frantic, fibrous wire
pacing repetitively on the back of beats.
Getting sloshed on the slashes of cherry -
an animated caricature - that wash against its face.

Clench it, crunch it, smack it and munch it
as it wriggles for escape. Pay hommage
to acidic tears that have raped your flesh
as you bind it, whip it, blend it, sip it
and wash away years.

Apologise, laying thick bouquets at its waist
then stroke the ventricle.
Fondle the fruity foliage that falls and lays placid
on the floor like diamonds, joining up cracks and corners
sizzling and symmetrical.
