Happy Birthday ‘Merica

It’s happy birthday ‘Merica
I wish you all the best
You’ve kept us free for all these years
You’re better than the rest

For those who claim you’ve lost your glow
They’ve lost their sappy minds
Our unity must win the day
For that’s the tie that binds

     flags… parades… hurray

Independence Day

With s’mores and bonfires
we celebrate our freedom—
A gift we’ve betrayed

Premium MemberThe 4th

It’s a firework holiday,
so let’s light up the night,
wave the stars and stripes,
eat barbecue and drink bud light.

We’ll celebrate the liberties
that SCOTUS says we’ve still got
It appears they’ve all been bought
and before their terms are over
they’ll resurrect Dred Scott.

Watermelon, hot wings
we’ve even added new things,
like smash & grab lootings
and frequent random shootings.

Some Republicans want to break away
to form a less perfect union
can you form a successful nation
based on the politics of illusion?

There used to be parades
I’m told, that featured local
things, like fire fighting brigades
I guess we’re just to fractured now,
to sashay in such displays.

I bet those were the days.
.
.
Webster: Sashay = proudly walk in confident display

Largely overlooked
Juneteenth Independence Day, Freedom Day
Emancipation Day – commemorates the end of slavery
In the United States
Most States that is
There are 20 states still holding out
In 1863 slaves were freed
Texas withheld the information
It wasn't until 1865 that the slaves were
finally told by soldiers at the end of the war.
Union Army Maj. Gen. Gordon Granger rode into
Galveston, Texas, and issued General Order No. 3
Proclaiming that the enslaved
African Americans there were free.
Let us be brave and not hide history and rejoice in
the emancipation day.

Premium MemberFirecracker

Firecracker, look at you go
Sparking, spitting, flying by,
Putting on quite a show
For every Fourth of July

Bang! There goes the first
Crack! Goes number two,
Snap! The third one burst
Pop! For the red, white and blue

Let freedom ring out
Independence for us all,
One day a year to shout
Hear all voices call

When we can't say this
And we can't do that,
In a country amiss
Where freedom's at

Long gone is the way
Of such prim and poise,
Today, all of us can say
Let's make some noise

Bang! There goes the first
Crack! Goes number two,
Snap! The third one burst
Pop! For the red, white and blue

Sparking, spitting, flying by
Putting on quite a show,
For every Fourth of July
Firecracker, look at you go!

Premium MemberPomp and Pageantry

I remember the grand parades
  Memorial and Independence Day
All their pomp and pageantry
Many faded jeans ago, so far away

Our boys in uniform we'd be saluting
For the good ole USA we'd be rooting
Now it's political rancor at barbeques
~ From either end we're tooting

This Fourth of July

This 4th Of July

To my fellow Americans,
during this 4th of July.
I have a thought.. . Here's why…

When we salute our flag
 ever so grand.
Our country's foundation
 is sinking in "quicksand."

This is because. From God...
We're way "off course."
Driven by lust, greed
 and an "immorality force ."

Our ungodly government
 continues to rule.
Anything of God has been
removed from the school.

We hear of "separation of
church and state."
Anything of God...
Many people seem to hate!

America! Listen to what
this message is about!
Everything of God is
slowly being taken out!

We must return to Jesus!...
He gives true freedom indeed!.
The truth word of God’s .
Our country must read!

Living for God is worth the cost!
Without HIM...
 America is forever lost!

Independence Day

Independence is today
The holiday the world celebrate
The day to honor those who made it posible
The fights the struggles the sweat and tears
The years the obaticals the tuff path to freedom
And peace the ruff roads the stormy nights I salute to those who made the way
To each and all happy independence day

Firecrackers

Fiery flashes fill the sky
Into the air rise the rockets
Reaching for the stars
Everywhere you look are dazzling colors
Crash,bang,boom go the firecrackers
Remembering all those you help gave us our freedom
All around people are celebrating Independence Day
Come and celebrate with us
Keep those flags flying high
Everywhere you go you see fireworks filling the night sky then
Rushing to the ground like raindrops gently falling
So ends another wonderful Independence Day,with a bang

Premium MemberHappy Independence Day

Blow up them firecrackers.
Light up the sky.
Because it's Happy Independence Day.
I've been meaning to say..

Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happ..
Happy Independence Day, Happy Independence Day.
Happy Independence Day.Happy Independence Day.

Sparklers glowing.Stars and stripes showing.
Nothing but happy people.Celebrating the Fourth Of July.
The birth of our country. The birth of our flag.
Because our founding fathers.Always wanted it this way.

Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happ..
Happy Independence Day.Happy Independence Day.
Happy Independence Day.Happy Independence Day.

Fifty stars and thirteen stripes.
The flag still flies. The American way.
Old Glory's the name.Old Glory's the same.
Join with the crowd, for the American dream.

So blow up them firecrackers.
Light up the sky.
Because it's Happy Independence Day.
I've been meaning to say.

Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happ..
Happy Independence Day.Happy Independence Day.
Happy Independence Day.Happy Independence Day.

This Independence Day July 4th

To my fellow Americans,
during this 4th of July.
I have a thought.. . Here's why…

When we salute our flag
 ever so grand.
Our country's foundation
 is sinking in "quicksand."

This is because. From God...
We're way "off course."
Driven by lust, greed
 and an "immorality force ."

Much ungodliness continues to rule.
As God has been
removed from our schools!

We hear of "separation of
church and state."
Anything of God...
Many people seem to hate!

Premium MemberThe Fourth of July

Picnics, parties, barbecues,
Hotdogs, hamburgers, watermelon, too,
Ice cream, baseball and frisbee throwing,
Hot sun, bathing suits, lake and beach going.

Sun sets and skies alight,
With fireworks bursting in the night,
Exploding colors in the sky,
This is how we honor the Fourth of July.

On July the Fourth, our Independence Day,
Our nation's flag is proudly on display.
We celebrate our freedoms won,
By frolicking with family, friends in the summer sun.

But lest we all forget the cost,
Let's take a moment to remember those lost.
The men and women, who through the years,
Have paid the price with blood, sweat and tears.

They gave their all to keep us free,
From deadly enemies and tyranny.
We enjoy our privileges and rights today,
Because on freedom's altar, their lives they laid.

So while you celebrate this joyous time,
Keep our Armed Forces in the front of your mind.
Thank them for the job they do,
Protecting this country for me and you.

Independence

Individual choices.. Identities allowed

No King to rule.. to none we bow

Determined are you to reach the top

Each of us can rise or flop

Perhaps you're one who doesn't care

Even that's allowed.. It is! I swear!

No one will ever force you to matter

Dance if you would at the foot of my ladder

Energy and drive heeds freedoms call

New recruits prepared to fall

Can we ever forget the price they pay

Ever thankful for Independence day!
