HOLES OF BETRAYAL

The holes were plain
For all to see, clear as day
Like every word pressed from tight lips
Heavy, weighed down with lead.

Yet we chose to believe
Clinging to words for relief
Some of us danced
Caught in the endless trance.

Half a decade passed in a blink
Now we question what we heard
Were those words ever true
Or just echoes from years before?

Their

hives and holes

bomb shelters abloom
uranium enriched dreams
hives cratered by drones

why do some coins have holes in the middle

Why do some coins purposefully have holes punched in the middle?
To save copper, silver and gold?
Guess again.

So you can hang them on Christmas trees
Or around dog’s necks on their collars?
Maybe

They were actually made this way
So you could string them together and keep track of them
The sad thing is,
It would make things easier for a snatch

I dream in tensors, sleep in curves,
A fabric bent by mass that swerves—
Space and time, a unified song,
Where gravity has whispered long.

A point—no width, no height, no breadth,
A singularity spells time’s death.
But in the depths, a passage hides,
Through quantum seams, where dark divides.

A wormhole yawns, its throat aglow,
Two mouths that neither age nor know

Harold tore too many Holes in his Jeans

Howard thought holes in his jeans was fashionably in style
He tore them all down the pants leg, wearing a smile

The Stars.
They are like holes in the deep of darkness,
Through which our little hope escapes,
The hope that helps us survive...
In a world full of irony.

Poking Holes

Poking holes,

In the shadows,

A tiny light starts to grow.

Darkness,

Running from its Glow.

Its a slow process,

There is no contest

Light dawns on darkness,

adding to its conquest.

There to reveal,

To show whats real.

Illuminating the Fear,

Hiding anywhere.

So we can be Aware,

That it's there.

And rise above,

Shining Bright,

Love wins its fight.

Poking holes in the shadows,

Brightening tomorrows,

Lightening the sorrows.

Spreading as it goes.

Sharing what

Black holes stop their pull in fear

Hate hangs from me like a disintegrating cloak
It’s sickly oil tendrils trailing from me
It never gives passes
Eloquent in its misuse
Scratching its way through the sheerness. of the
slivers
Feeling so black that blue isn’t quite enough

Love drapes from me like a sculpted marble toga
It’s twirling twines exploding into fluff
It lives in the past and futures
Incoherently overused
It coddles

Scare the snakes out

All rabbits chased out of their holes,
Snakes now make their burrows their own:
Their venom, their flight it controls.

The snakes not worried, as they moan.

My father, complex, yet now understood,
His behavior was shaped by his neighborhood.
He called them "A-holes," and they called him the same, 
But the environment was really the one to blame. 
From giant beasts to tiny bugs in a dance, 
Our behaviors are dictated, not left to chance.

Dodging one here, dodging one there,
Riding along without a care.
    Three in a row, which way do I go,
I close my eyes and curse the so and so.

The Black Holes of Habits

Humans and habits,
Both like celestial bodies.
Humans are the planets,
And habits are the stars.

The habit that lingers slowly turns,
Into a vast black hole, a dark abyss,
Hard to escape, we spiral inward,
Tumbling into its void.

But is it truly impossible to escape?
Though I am no scientist,
I know that before the universe,
Our science was inconceivable.

So by what logic do

Ode to Pot Holes

Oh gaping chasm of misfortune
A sign of council extortion?
Roads not fit for purpose
Driving makes us nervous
Neglect of civil responsibility
The cause of such hostility
Oh pot hole why so terrible
Our roads are just unbearable
What future for these holes?
Maybe roadside fishbowls?

The hole is deeper than one can imagine yet
& still they want to dig
Put down the shovel & avoid the trouble for the
whole of the game is surely rigged
An enemy seen through wise eyes can never be
viewed as a friend
Their disguise has been uncovered as you've
