Old

Old

Old

I feel it now
Getting old
I feel now how
It’s…not all gold

I feel it more
Since yesterday
I’d rather stay
Than go ’n' play

It’s not so bad
Don’t get me wrong
I’m really glad
I’ve lived this long

I travelled ‘round
By thumb 'n' car
Slept under bridges
In Florida

My pal Hohner
Tagging along
We’re always kissing
When blues come on

Been to rehab
Eyes wide open
We’re all in a struggle
We’re all a bit broken

I got to see
Niagara Falls
I got to hear
The lovebird call

I sweetly weeped
Obama’s win
And lived to see
Him win again

I feel it now
Growing old
All my memories
Just pure gold

Watch Claudine Play the Hohner

A desert lake is a perfect
mirror of the bluest sky
that everyone has ever seen,
it wants to trade place and expect
to be a part of Heaven
without the pretty
daisies and lilies:
it will have plenty of clouds
that will shine on breezy August noons...
as folks let loose their colorful balloons!

Watch little Claudine play the Hohner,
often times she borrows her dad's guitar...
while Aunt Jane puts on her straw hat
and shades to resemble a movie star;
that's not a beach, but she looks hot!
What's missing besides a songster?

A desert lake is a perfect mirror
of the bluest sky in Oklahoma...
where no sea is seen only big mountains,
Uncle Jesse slowly sips his chilled beer;
if it'll rain, he'll play the harmonica
making her niece mad with furrowed brows!

Watch little Claudine play the Hohner
getting claps from pops and grannies,
nobody notices when her song is out of tune;
Jack tries to warn her, but she neglects him with a smirk:
let him dance, let him sing music can change his quirk!
Funny how it delights the frantic puppies
that join the fun thinking it's opportune
to surround and upset Jack the crooner!

Rivers To Cross

Somewhere on the Rhine
or the Rhone
a harmonica,
Hohner,
plays a sad tune underneath a
watery moon or
is that the tears in my eyes?

A Lost Angel

A LOST ANGEL (male version)

A LOST ANGEL
            by
Carmella Adkins Hohner

A lost angel is forever found today
he shall be with you in heart and spirit
he is in no more pain happiness is all he'll see
A lost angel returned home today
he shall be watching from above
A lost angel is lost no more
So dry your tears wipe your eyes
For your angel is living in eternity .
you shall see him there someday.
YOUR LOST ANGEL IS LOST NO MORE

Veterans of Our Heart

Veterans Of Our Heart

Many Men and Women for generations have joined the Military to fight for freedom of all,
Many have been injured physically and mentally never to be the same.
There are many many Soldiers who have died for our freedom To Be free.
Our Soldiers are still standing tall no matter how hard the task .
They are there.
They have never let us down .
They are all heros in my eyes and my love for them will remain ever so strong.
So Veterans never have any doubt that noone appreciate you for what you have given up to pertect us all.
Heres to you all Thank you Thank you Thank You
For being there On this Veteran's day and all year round
Love to you all

Your Love Is Always Near By

Your Love is always near by

I can't wipe the tears from your eyes

I can't take away the hurt you feel inside

knowing the pain that you are struggling with

hoping you will find comfort from within

the tears that flow are tears of love

the love your missing is always at your side

never think your all alone for your Love is always near by !

I'M Going Up On That Mountain Top

by
Carmella Adkins Hohner

I'm going up on that mountain, way up on that mountain top.
maybe i'll get a glimpse of that heavenly road just a glimpse
will do
I'm going up on that mountain top where the skies are so blue
where the stars blanket that heavenly sky
i need to vision what it would be like to to see my lord my savior.
where all my loved ones have made their final journey home.
I'm going up way up on that mountain. way up on that mountain top.
where angels will show me the way guiding me up that rough and rocky road
I'm going up. way way up on that mountain top .
for on that mountain top i can look over the horizon and see forever.
where my heart seems to be filled with peace and tranquility
where all my hurt is faded away
I'm going up way way up on that mountain top
hope you will join me too!
