There’s something for each of us
Which changes throughout our life
A different time, a different place
Which finds its way in
To help us find a way out
I know what mine has been
What is yours?

Premium Member My Five Hobbies

I have five hobbies that keep me freshly enthusiastic and alive.
Painting is incredible; when I get tired of it, I buy new paints.
I recently bought some gorgeous glitter paints.
That got me back into my art studio fast!

Another hobby I have is cartooning.
All of my paintings begin as cartoons.
I have been drawing since I was four.
When I tire of this, I turn to another hobby. I have four more.

My third hobby is word games. I play scrabble-like games every day.
Not for an hour, but between four and six hours.
I am completely excited about words.
Always have been.

Hobby number four is poetry.
I learned as many types of poetry as I could from www.poetrysoup.com
They tell you how to create every type – diminished hexaverse, senryu, haiku.
I use them as a reference.

If I am out of poem ideas I turn to one of my favorite websites.
www.pinterest.com which has marvelous pictures of a variety of things.
I find ten that I like and save them, writing down a name for each.
Then I create a poem for each of them. This also keeps me freshly enthusiastic!

Premium Member my hobbies

my hobbies are many
I don’t mind spending plenty
painting makes my day
you cannot take that away

I am not humble or contrite
winning all my word games feels right
cartooning is something I love to do
painting my canvases in neon orange and blue

my hobbies never stop
I like words like frolic, jump, persnickety and hop
poetry is one of my current games
Enjoying every day is one of my super aims.

Premium Member My Hobbies

I am a cartoonist, this part of my life adds play to my day.
I paint these cartoons; painting delights me and relaxes me.
My poetry is goal-oriented, I have set a goal I force myself to meet.
I enjoy throwing words onto pages.
According to my husband, my writing is my best talent.
But cartooning and painting brings me the most joy.

Premium Member Passionate about my Hobbies

I am in love with my many retirement hobbies
Passionate about cartooning, painting and poetry
Intensely enthusiastic when I am playing in my art studio

Also thrilled with peanut butter cookies and twinkies
Loving refried beans and salsa heated up eaten on chips
These are a few of my favorite things

My passions have changed through the years
But at this moment, in this time, these are my main events

My Hobbies

I don’t like painting.
I don’t like to sing.
The hours I waste after school.
Make them think I’m a fool.
I chose to do nothing.
Even when my phone rings.
I cry when I hear a call.
They just want me to play basketball.
The calls go unanswered.
Like my prayers, the day we swerved,
And rolled down a hill,
I remember her body, still…
If I had a hobby…
Maybe that would help with the memories.
But these days, I let them consume me.
Because I was the one who hit the tree.

Hobbies

I paint
I write
I think
I try
I draw
I rhyme
and sometimes
I cry.

photography
needed a dark room
poetry
had to have a home office
dogs and cats
built a compound
painting
where is my art studio?
my hobbies are a result of my obsessive personality
They usually last two years, two and a half tops
Poetry has lasted four, and painting has lasted six
These two are the exceptions
Maybe because I was always looking for them

Premium Member Retirement In View

retirement close, Arthur sadly wonders,
ponders ruefully what his passions are!
                              to merrily spend the days...
golf or pool! dearest wife says -
must get my tea in bed, whatsoever!

Premium Member Star Men

There’s a 7-11 on Mars,
with parking for plenty of cars.
There’s never a wait in line
and you never get carded for wine.

There’s a huge monument on Venus,
it's shaped like a giant peniz.
That’s a salute to Jeffery Bezos,
is it accurate and life-like - who knows?

A universe for the rich,
who found a technological niche,
with their business soaring,
to the stars they are roaring,
but for the rest of us, life is a bit-ch.

Premium Member Hobbies Serve Me Well

I have a slew of hobbies, and I love them all.
When they no longer intrigue me, I forget I ever had them.
It’s my Gemini mind.

I forgot I used to have a dark room for decades.
I do not want one again, but it was nice to remember.
I forgot I used to crochet until my granddaughter wanted to learn how.

My hobbies are in full swing until I lose interest
Then they fall off a cliff of who cares,
Most are never retrieved.
for I am constantly on the
look out for something new.

HOBBIES

We’ve all got hobbies that’s for sure.
Some like to catch fish with worms as a lure.
Some like to sail out on the sea so blue.
Some like to build model planes with paint and glue.
Some like to play or watch football on TV.
Some like to take photos of flowers and trees.
Some like to bake cookies and cakes.
Some like to waterski on big lakes.
Well my hobby is collecting bones for fun,
So a bone or two of yours I’d like to extract one by one.
You won’t miss it a bit I have no doubt.
You’ll just have to sit still while I’m taking them out.
