Spur of the Moment

When you plan something spur of the moment,
At first you feel proud and in charge,
But the longer you think,
It will end in a blink;
Then the doubts stumble in and loom large.

I need time to mull over my choices,
Possibilities I can assess,
Weighing good points and bad,
What will make me feel glad
And eliminate what might cause stress.

Sometimes, though, I can’t make a decision
And the plans do not ever get made,
So perhaps if I pounce
I might get to renounce
Hesitations that make me afraid.

If the scale tips one way or another,
Either method can end up with doubt,
But at least if you book,
Then by hook or by crook,
An adventure you won’t do without.

Premium MemberCandle flame:

I watch a candle flame,
Steadily burning in my room,
In the darkened room,
Its shadows cast a spell of despair.

In a lighted room,
Stare into the steady flame,
Connect your mind with deep consciousness,
Spread your wisdom as candle flame spreads its light.

Sometimes, the flame flickers,
Like hesitations in our mind,
Shadows seem to be dancing on the walls,
Like the reflections of bygone past.

Once in a while, the flame wavers for a little,
Like sees the uncertain future around,
Ignores the deviations in mind,
Becomes the steady source of peace and joy.

finding freedom in death

Freedom calls out to me,
just over the railings.
Freedom dances,
just out of reach
Freedom sings,
”Abandon your jailer, abandon Life
Abandon your duty, abandon Life,
Jump over the railings,
and join me in death.”

Desire possesses me,
a promise of freedom offered
with a heavy price to pay.
Behind the railings hide
A choice that may cost my life

Hesitations hold me back,
Ropes of responsibilities restrain,
Buried under building burdens.
Forced to forfeit my freedom.
You have clipped my wings,
Cries of desperation pulling me away.
I am bound. Trapped. Chained.

Won’t you set me free?

Complicated Passion

My passion runs deep
My passion has depth
So is the time that I tried to love, and so are the things that have gone.
I feel these emotions running through me
It's so powerful but idyllic in its wondrous ways
My passion runs deep, and I just can't sleep
Seek out out your love.
Seek out in vain
When will this feeling subside
I want to throw it all away and hide.
Who am I?
Why do I feel on such an elevated level?
I pray you hear me
I pray you stay with me
Is this an obsession, constantly thinking and not settling?
My passion runs deep, and yet I still yearn
I yearn for more of this connection
I yearn for more of my twin
I am always at a loss. When will the time I win?
I win true love.
I win my desires and manifest my soul to become one with yours.
Who is this person I speak of?
What is this passion I crave
If only I could throw it all away for my own sake.
I walk this path alone in silence
Hoping you hear me
Hoping you stay by my side and never let me go.
This passion I Seek really runs deep.
Deeper than my inspirations or even my hesitations
I am home yet yearning for this passion.
A passion that should be forbidden, but yet here I am.

Premium MemberTrue Love Will Endure

Fancy the reasons why love is so elusive
Could be we don’t know what we look for,
Feelings that with love are not conducive
Strange so many do not know the score
Looking for love “in all the wrong places,”
Confusing true love with an infatuation,
Equating it with beautiful or perfect faces
Often can lead to the nastiest situations.

Generally, love requires time to mature
Knowing yourself and your expectations,
Commitment in love is not for the unsure
I say, always beware of those hesitations.
Work toward a relationship that is secure,
I'm convinced that true love will endure.

Growing Numb

The moments on the clock
 slide by, tick tock.
My mind, my thoughts lag
 with the weather playing tag,
the summer heat draws my energy
 nothing remains from heart-to-soul synergy.
Perhaps it's age and time
where poetry has no reason nor rhyme,
still, I tend to write words and prose
unsure of where the process goes.
These are mere tidbits of exasperation
the skin growing numb in dreams of perspiration
forgive me as the brain throbs in hesitations,
it's just my random moments of time and space regenerations.
I'm dull-witted and confused
 in mind-numbing news.

Come Over

Hello Love,
Tonight I really want you here by my side.
With our favorite music on,
my ears to your chest hearing your heart beats,
"you're mine, you're mine, you're mine"
Oh sweet serendipity!
My hands are in your hands
swaying gently, fiasco dancing
We're perfectly imperfect.

Hello love, come on, come over
It's beautiful tonight for us to be apart
Let's celebrate like it's our first night
Come on Come over
I'll set the table, we'll dine under the moonlight.
The stars are align for us tonight,
whisper your wishes I'm all ears
I'm all in, no inhibitions, no hesitations.
Take my hand, take me all you want.
Tonight there's nothing between us
But our love, sincerity.

Hello Love,
I really want you here by my side,
your eyes my serenity
your lips my certainty
your hugs my sanctuary
Come on Come over
With our favorite music on,
my ears to your chest hearing your heart beats,
"you're mine, you're mine, you're mine"

Premium MemberTomorrow Maybe

Strong was the art our eyes would steal.

Long was the waiting for hearts to heal.

Meeting in strange and unusual places,

Leathered and crease-worn, fragile faces,

Swirling with music of wrapped invitations,

Migrating downward in lost hesitations.

Always the life that someone else chose,

Bodies unwrapping a stranger’s clothes.

Grins that we wore like gashes we tore,

In the flesh of our minds, unrestored.

Swore to ourselves in notes left on shelves,

That tomorrow is ours for sure.

That always tomorrow

Would surely be ours,

For sure.

Only You, Only Me

My arms around you as the night draws on,
our bodies melted into one,
time slows down -- but not our hearts nor our breathing,
only you, only me in the Universe -- sharing, learning, loving.
What was -- passes into now,
the needs of two blend into one,
dreams fall by the wayside in the darkness
as reservations and hesitations lose their hold,
into the night, into the darkness, into the new.
Only light can slow down the night,
the beauty of you on soft-morning display,
and I beside you -- cursing and blessing that light,
only you and only me...
within the Universe.

Love So Free

We don't have expectations
There is no right or wrong
We don't have hesitations
There is a bond that's strong

We don't believe in fighting
There is no wish to flee
This poem I am reciting
Relating to a love so free
