Hell Bent

Running out of time to act,
flashes in the mind.
Running out of everything,
too late to hit rewind.

Wake and take a hammer to it,
crush it to the bone.
Pulverize what’s left of it,
make sure all life is gone.

Disregard the letters
in the alphabet arranged,
set to spell the answers out
cuz no one wants the plain.

Go on, drink the poison down.
Taste it coat the tongue.
Pleasure covered minutes
laced to form the web now spun.

Make sure every fool who falls
who couldn’t gain control,
stays trapped forever contemplating…
what the demon stole.

This about tops it all to be polite and honest
a very narrow valley exists between two mountains
Bigots have too much to say between words of hate
racist from a far right wing corrupting the purity of perfection
their goal has finally began working for chaos
overturning basic human rights blacklisting certain virtues

Then unnaturally devaluing human life to suit an evil agenda
freedom of speech, still has a voice and opinion not yet shut down

The good doctors are getting persecuted wrongfully
for speaking the truth in their mind's eye
holding onto moral values identifying with caring

The justice system supports this injustice
it's an insult to knowledge and intelligence
to make an object of certain soul's purity
then condemn good for being bad
it's where love's concerned suffers fate
describing them as physically unclean

Hell Bent Or Heaven Sent

     Hell Bent or Heaven Sent?

You abruptly say you are leaving
I stare stunned
Eyes averted unbelieving
I drop to my knees
Heart broken and grieving
Thoughts of loss and pain
Run through my brain
Misery
Loss
Rejection
Are weaving
Into my life again
You seem Hell bent on leaving
I guess looks are deceiving
You looked so content
But you say your love is gone
And you don’t know where it went
You are going to leave me broken and bent
What is the reason you are giving?
What ever it is
It’s bound to make my life not worth living
Stunned I watch
As you pack your stuff
I beg and say
Enough
Our love was Heaven sent
What happened?
What did I miss?
A subtle change?
In your touch?
In your kiss?
Is that all out love meant?
You are declaring us over
Hell Bent
Or
Heaven Sent
Which one is meant?

Premium MemberMother Nature Is Hell Bent

A sudden plunge into grey
people, pets, and homes fall prey
hurried storm clouds gather
howling wind thrashing through trees
In submission lay fallen leaves

branches finally capitulate
bending to gale force winds
merciless Flagellation
rain pelts down hard
thunder roars with authority
lightning flashes menacing anger
striking blue, purple, orange bolts
tossed around with rage
boats float on water like dolls
broken and bent electric poles
homes are flooded
people displaced
Donald Trump shows his face
deployment of people to help
dealing with this devastating hell
she does not relent
Mother Nature is hell bent.

In haste as I watch the news.

Hell Bent

Must
No choice
Cannot resist
He says I will
Bring the world to flame
What other choice do I have?

Heaven-Bound, Hell-Bent

Heaven bound, hell-bent
Cradled between truth and false
Solitude well-spent in crowds
Among soul-filled emptiness he stays
Wisdom remains when one does grasp
We know not one thing at all
As he drank the poison
He died with this attained

Leave to Sparta where you may speak freely
To question without an answer
Spread your words like wildfire
Consummate them like an unavoidable cancer
But he chose to die in Athens

Heaven-bound, hell-bent
Governments await their deaths with no apology
Drinking the poisons of their hatred
Taking their curse as sustenance
We know not wisdom
Till humanity filters us through
And blinds our fear of death

And blinds our fear of you
