I was sitting on the bench,
Under an enormous pine tree
Situated along the concrete footpath,
Away from the beach.
After a short rest,
I took out a box of food,
Enjoyed my home made lunch,
Was not long at all, a flock of seaguls,
Came from every where landed around my feet.
Each time I threw my food high,
Up in the air into the sky,
They were exited and flapped their wings
Wide opened their beaks,
And made their distinctive sound "Krraa, karra"
When I stopped feeding them,
They settled down and patiently waited,
Something caught my eyes,
In a distance, between my bench,
And before the sand reached the ocean,
A single seagull, stood on a stone wall,
Patiently, looking at us all.
What did it want?
I raised the question to the seagulls.
Instead of answering me, they flu
Away one by one,
The Loner seagull joined them at once,
And they all disappeared as Mr Loner always did.

Today, I visited Sorrento back Beach.
Swam only for five minutes.
Both the swell and the current
Were too high and too strong for me.
Fortunately, the Lifeguard Mason,
Assisted me to get down to the ocean,
Where the waves were less violent.
I held onto his yellow rescue board,
Under my armbit, as he instructed.
When the perfect moment arrived,
Mason asked me to flow and then to dive,
I managed to swim butterfly style.
Mason curious raised a question
If I could do other swim fashion
He was quite amaze when I said
I could do all the swim techniques.
I had a fantastic time today
First time swam in such big waves
With the assistance by the Lifeguard Mason
From the Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club.
I sincerely thank Mason and his Life guard team.
I felt privileged and being blessed to have
Such a wonderful day trip to swimming.
I wished my friend was here with me,
To capture on video or photos

I have used them to teach children for the past thirty years
One of my favorites is "Creativity is intelligence having fun".
Many students have never heard of Einstein, but the brightest ones have.
When I give clues, they guess Einstein right away.
There are only one or two in each class who know him.
They are usually my favorites, because they want to learn.
They read on their own, and they search for new knowledge
Dissatisfied with the watered down curriculum of today.
Another Einstein quote I love is:
"Imagination is more important than Knowledge."
