   The final threshold.
       Death gives a sign,
       uncertainty and unanswered questions.
   A strong and sturdy bridge,
          that many have walked across.

   Listening in the emptiness,
      a harp without strings.
         Emotionally imperfect.

   Words fail,
thoughts and feelings dominate the room.
        ~ without need for description
You have struggled for so long.
Accepting does not refer giving up.

   The thing I never said
          meant nothing,
Words cannot change the course of life.

   A night without a facade,
        reflecting your truth and sagacity.
You do not need to prepare.
Follow the light in soothing peace,
   with unconditional acceptance.

Premium Member A Hard and Sweet Life

A woman kneads dough for cakes.
She is sad and weary of life...
Into every piece, she mixes both a little anger
and joy – for herself, for the children, for her man.
She holds nothing back from life.
When the cakes are baked,
the anger fades away
and only the aroma of joy remains...

Oh, How Silly!

Although my poems are not so numerous
I try to make them a little humerous
I'm certainly not a bard
but I do try very hard
to mix in a bit of the ridiculous

Hard & Soft

This should not be hard.

Anticipate me, for I am open.
I have hidden nothing, and am a creature of habit, predictable.
There is nothing too difficult to discover about this soul.
Nothing sequestered away from any prying mind.

Speak to me gentle.
Everyone surrounding me talks in a decibel that I associate with my head cradled between my palms.
The pressure attempts to mash every invasive thought, inevitably they fail.

Melt into my mind.
I've spent all these many years explaining myself.
Even with these oh so fragile words at my mercy I cannot make you hold them truly.
I slice into myself when you fracture them apart, rearranging what was intended.

Be delicate with my heart.
She has endured far too much, somehow persisting in what some may consider to be an inhospitable environment.
A fragile broken thing, untrusting of every encounter because- what if it happens again?
What if it's worse?

Love me softly.
I long to be held in tender hands, that just brush against my skin.
Searching for the lost pieces of themselves in me.
It is a kindness I have never known.
Perhaps I am undeserving.

Maybe it's harder than it sounds...

Premium Member Hard Boiled Eggs in the Middle

Meatloaf with hard boiled eggs in the middle
in the middle in the middle
Meatloaf with hard boiled eggs in the middle
in the middle in the middle
and ketchup on the table when it's done
when it's done

Dad made meatloaf but not like mom
hard boiled eggs in the middle stay mum
Slice it and yellow yolk with white egg ring
didn't look so right but let ketchup do it's thing
Mom's was better but nothing like dads
hard boiled eggs flavor mom's never had
Cooking new ways can make a mystery meal
as long as after eating your tummy okay feels.

Meatloaf with hard boiled eggs in the middle
in the middle in the middle
Meatloaf with hard boiled eggs in the middle
in the middle in the middle
and ketchup on the table when it's done
when it's done.

             somebody order a pizza...

The Dreams

I have a thousand reasons not to work,
but I have only one reason to work, and that is my dream.

I have no motivation, no discipline anymore,
I only have a dream. I worked yesterday, I work today, and I will work tomorrow.

A thousand failures stand in my way,
yet for the sake of one victory, I refuse to give up.

I am enduring every defeat, every insult, every humiliation,
because one day, my time will come.

I am breathing for one reason alone,
because one day, this dream will come true.

I have no reason to live,
yet I am still here because I have a dream.

It’s hard

It’s hard to accept the character
Which you aren’t meant to
It’s useless to accept mistakes
When you haven’t committed

Sometimes chunks of emotion
ruin your dignity and self esteem
It’s better to withstand it
Controlling overflow of it

Well, it’s Preety obvious
You know who you are
So it’s unworthy
Explaining your character

Those who knows you
Obviously won’t lay a finger on you
So, it’s better
Maintaining a gap with those peoples

I know sometimes
It’s hard to keep distance
between loved ones
but sometimes those solutions
Fix many misunderstandings and problems

sassy sweet lady, who's judt singing away.' Shes
 got
Some heart this slip of a gurl, putting down
Lyric's to get bezos's hair to grow and curl.' She's hitting with a hammer'
quite like mine..Forged in 'a land
down under' her strokes
 are doing smashing; fine.'
The demons are getting
jumpy, the blows are now coming fast
With the weight of world opinion turning
How long can old stuctures last? Some gray haired fools with money, have played
With innocent blood, they want to sacrifice
You too.' Will you jump into the flood?
All you need do is to say silent.' Buy their line you are worthless trash.' Or get on board with reality, its really a simple task

Some honest blasts.)

The Impossible Measurement-- DHR

From the curvings of forgotten history, a device was born,
Forged with the wisdom of ages, and secrets yet unworn.
It held a mirror that measured beauty beyond the eye,
And painted the perfect version of a mortal passing by.

It studied every face, every smile, every graceful line,
Suggested robes of wonder and designs almost divine.
When tested upon the world, its numbers never fell,
Humanity celebrated the machine that knew beauty so well.

But while it travelled home, a soul ran past its sight,
A fleeting glimpse of her, gone within a moment's flight.
The machine trembled softly, its calculations turned strange,
Its perfect laws shattered under a beauty it couldn't arrange.

The mirror cracked into silence, the suggestions lost their flame,
No cloth, no jewel, no colour could ever define her name.
The device, defeated by something beyond its creation,
Displayed a final message: a beautiful revelation.

"The beauty you seek cannot be captured, measured, or chained,
It rises beyond clouds where imagination has remained.
It is not found in mirrors, nor in what eyes can see,
For true beauty is the universe escaping its own decree."

Hard Pill To Swallow

If crying is good for you then why does it make my head hurt? Why does it make
my eyes puff up and my nose run and my face salty? My face is dry and wet all at
the same time now how does that work?

If running is good for you then why does it hurt? Hair and face drenched in a
different salt from before, all sound drowned out by a thunderous roar from
within. Every inch of you screams but you push nonetheless because it’s good
for you, how?

It was easier as a child. I could run for hours and cry for days—in that order
specifically—but now that I’m older everything has its limits. Whether I can
see them or not.

Too much water, too much food, too much love—all of it bad. Too much of
anything is bad for you, the art of indulgence they’ll say.
But why?

English is weird so all of these questions can simply be answered with one
simple word: Because.
I said simple
Not fulfilling.

Rocks & Hard Places

How do we protect children
from a world — so inflictive
How do we prepare children
for that world — once protected
How do we keep them out of the vice
of this paradox
How do we ... How do we ...
— how do we
