A Hard Day’s Night

The Beatles - Lay it to me

A Hard’s Days Night : 3rd Placing

A hard day’s night, boss outta sight
blankets warm, everything’s all right
let’s snuggle, cuddle, no more storm
lovely voice on high, good in form
peace reigns on Earth, after mad work
baby is chuckling, gone is stork
sing to stars and beckoning moon
guitar in right tune, dance like coons

I had to look up what the lay form entails and have to say Ghairo, you've nailed it here: octosyllabic couplets aa, bb,cc,dd. You've nailed Charles' contest brief too by incorporating the Beatles title. Good luck with this. Cheers - Gary
