Top Ten Most Beautiful Sights I Have Seen

TOP TEN MOST BEAUTIFUL SIGHTS I HAVE SEEN

Photo of my wife holding a rose
Some years ago in a hotel in Tallinn, Estonia. . . . .

My newborn children all red and bright-eyed.. . . . .

My 12 year old daughter present-hunting
In her robe early on Christmas morning.. . . . .

My two small sons and the cat all fast asleep in one bed
And three noses just poking out of the blankets.. . . . .

Actress Elizabeth Taylor playing
The role of Rebecca in movie “ Ivanhoe”.. . . . . .

Fiery colors in autumn forests in Montana near Butte.. . . . . .

Early spring on the still-snowy Banff-Jasper Parkway, Alberta.. . . . .

The Northern Lights seen from high up the Canadian Rockies.. . . . . .

Winnipeg at night seen from 30 000 feet in an aircraft.. . . . . .

Saturn in a telescope, all silent, still and majestic.. . . . .

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I'Ll Walk

When the dappled earth whitens,
And the owl calls no more
And all the hills are wet with dew
From summer's sizzling breath,

When Autumn meets the snow drifts
And the colored seasons drained
And the frosty air has nestled
Into nooks and niches,

Give ear towards the thrusting dawn
So I'll be clearly heard
Give ear towards chilled mountain tops
So you won't miss a word.

When the gold horizon blazes
And kisses the moon and sea
And the radiant hues of sunset
Bend the sky in two,

Give ear towards all seasons
Winter, Spring, or Summer falling
Give ear towards whatever
So you can hear my calling.

I'll walk out on the earth's edge,
And shout 'til time is still,
That I am folded in your love;
Unwrap me at your will.

Crisp apple fragrance
cheers a ripe sunny morning ~
                Pippins nip the air

                          ~

            A family gathers
    under the autumn sunshine
          picking the bounty
   Ladders rest against the trunks
     A picnic waits under trees
                         ~

           Children giggle while
       russet leaves whirl merrily~
God's eyes are smiling

If I Could Talk To God?

If I Could Talk To God?

Well of course I can
I love you Father
Maybe more than my heart shows

When I sit and think about how you love me
How you’ve blessed me with two of the most
Wonderful boys.
I feel how much you love me

You know how much I like to share
So you’ve given me a home with a door that
Swings wide enough to welcome everyone in
And I feel how much you love me

As I ride on a country road and see a crisp blue
Sky with the whitest wisps of clouds painted in
Resting on the multi colored autumn leaves
My joy permeates every part of my being
And I feel how much you love me

When I sit on the fence
And hear the breeze whispering through the trees
The whippoorwill’s song
And the laughter coming from somewhere inside the house
I know how much you love me

God do you know how much I love you
Can I ever show you the way I feel
So perfectly flawed
So needing grace
And yet one day
I will see the glory of your face
And know how much you love me.

When Colors Laugh With the Wind...

the autumn leaves float about
and crisscross my path
they look like children running
around having a good laugh

or are they like the ideas
we each have of our own childhood
that one memory that we want
to relive if we only could

a glimpse of a shadow rainbow
is created by the swirling leaves
and the silent hint of winter
is spoken by the trees

the secret beauty of the fall
is starting to fade away
like those reminiscing thoughts
growing fainter day by day

are their colors holding replies
to the lost ideals we once held dear
or are they nothing less
than how they appear

but a cool gust flushes them
along to the next wondering man
I hope he will be reminded
of where his happiness began
day
