she held me, I held her,
we held each other,
till we could feel the beats of our hearts!
She kissed me, I kissed her,
we kissed each other,
we could not be pulled apart!
dreams and dreams,
and many more dreams,
dreaming we slept in each others arms!
flowers of springs, those autumn days,
the summer in May,
Snowy walks in those riverside farms!
wedding bells, those dancing girls,
white horse carriages,
friends and families cheering us along!
decades of love, dedications and care,
decades still to share,
may this last forever and for long!
a prayer to heaven, a whisper to God,
to express our thanks,
with our hands on our hearts!

With my hand on my heart!
Her hand she'd offered
Her heart he'd spurned
Tears torched her pillow
as Equilibrium burned
Feelings flow when hands touch
attraction felt, love or friendship?
Sometimes distraction, used when speaking
hidden from view, what is this action?
A Mother’s call, hold my hand
is it protection or keeping control
A Father’s hand, ruffles your hair
showing his love and care
A shake of a hand, saying hello
another shake, saying cheerio
A girlfriend a boyfriend?
when do you know?
Walking along, hands never letting go
feelings increase as time unfolds
A wedding arrives, greetings galore
shaking hands, some you do not know
The firstborn, trace face and nose
Fingers, an extension of hands well known
Despite your age, hands still hold on
fingers entwine, grip not letting go
Holding the hands of a loved one
In a two-handed grip, neither letting go
The grip then triggers thoughts
both, understanding the hidden content
Sorry but my daughter's hand is
not mine to give
As she is not nor neither captive a
prisoner or beholden to me
It goes against the very fiber i
and her mother raised her
She is i wish and always will be
who she wishes and chooses to be
More than equal to any and every
man to a mother born
And in my eye's no one is worthy
of her hand
But if she wants you for her husband
Be forewarned her hand does come
with this warning
Be under no illusions and make no mistake
If you in any way make her unhappy
Better make sure your passport is
up to date and you are willing to
go on the run
Some place i can't find you
When first I held her hand in mine,
tears escaped down my young man’s cheek;
My daughter with those eyes that shine
made my fatherly legs grow weak.
Each birthday I would remember,
when first I held her hand in mine;
A moment I dare not surrender
and would cherish for all of time.
In her wedding gown, she looked fine
as I walked her down the chapel aisle;
When first I held her hand in mine,
was the memory that made me smile.
And now, I near my final breath
but, she is with me, so I don’t mind;
Her birth recalled as I meet death,
when first I held her hand in mine.

It is times like these
When I cannot force
A poem out of me
But the emotions leave
My blood boiling
Like that split second
Before sugar turns into caramel
And my cheeks inevitably
Turn red.
I cannot explain this
Bursting universe
Inside of me-
It leaves my head in the
Stars
As my world
Slow dances around you.
So hold my palpitating hand
And let the silence
Speak for itself-
Meanwhile, other roses
Bloom as the sun embraces
Them with warmth,
Church bells
Of another wedding- set
Four thousand six hundred and seventy two
Kilometers away ring as
Rice and good luck spread
On the floor
Lands become arable.
Other universes form.
Supernovas like fireworks
Colour this painting
Called the sky
The so called Nerd
With braces
Gets her first kiss
A fifty-five year old man
Somewhere in Brazil
Says thank you to his wife
For the first time in
Quite a while
Birds chirp
A tiger in the wilderness
Finds water
And butterflies desert their
Cocoons-
So hold my palpitating hand now
And let the silence
Speak for itself –
Because it is times
Like these
When worlds and words
Are born inside of me,
And I cannot let them out.
Do not rush to take away, that -
Which sooths the fevered brow,
For I should be forever lact;
And stunted be this love that grow.
Recall of when the seed first spun
That, which unseen hand did sow;
When lost and weak, and parlour dun;
‘T’was natures golden gift; so know -
For countless moons and equal suns
Through Summers warm and Winters blow,
For countless years, ere all eons
My love shall blossom; ever to grow.
Forever may the beauty stay,
In hand you gave on wedding day.
Momma knows her girl ain't crazy,
Still hearing those wedding vows,
It never ceases to amaze me,
What she's going through even now,
While cryingly she goes on...sharing mommas loving hand,
She's cried a month of Sundays,
Felt the slamming door,
Hoping maybe someday,
Love is evermore,
In the rising and setting suns...of having a good man,
She's been tried by the Devil,
Felt the upper hand,
Been so disheveled,
Trying to understand,
Now her life must go on...without that wedding band,
She's cried a month of Sundays,
For the man she knew before,
Hoping maybe some way,
Love is evermore,
Now her life must go on making new plans.
She's been walked on a bit,
And still has those crying fits,
O-O-O-O-Oh! Lord!
Even I can read her lips,
Now an ex-wife must be strong, trying to understand,
How her life must go on, without that wedding band,
She has mommas loving hand.
She's been walked on a bit,
And still has those crying fits,
O-O-O-O-Oh! Lord!
Even I can read her lips!
How an ex-wife must be strong, trying to understand,
How her life must go on, without that wedding band,
She has mommas loving hand.
More than a game, it was a heart from
a royal flush. I saw her every flaw which
told me her true hand. A slight twitch
in her eye told the bluff, as she tugs
her earlobe and raises the stakes. I call
her on the hand that would send her to
bankruptcy. She reveals a straight flush. I glance
over my fool's hand and fold. It was only
one heart away from a royal flush....At least
thats what I tell my wife.
