         Nestled in soft nests,
Tiny beaks greet dawn’s promise,
       Spring’s gentle whisper.

frostbite kisses cling~
January's breath stains glass
with ghosts of summer

Inky weight

I picked up my pen
Joy fled at the sight of it
I was once happy

Soft musical chimes
Silenced by autumn's still air
Poised for winter

Premium Member The Fisherman

As I gaze long, far
The Sun leans into the sea
Sets water on fire

A lone fisherman
Paddles through the angry waves
Few fish in the can

Has nought to take home
To his wife, hungry children
Hoping for food, some

The man sees not far
In the glistening waters
A floating buoy

On which a goldfish
Lay lifeless beckoning him
The tired man picks fish

Unknowing to all
Only to find a treasure
That’s kind of not small

Inside are gold coin
Life is changing, knows he will
Never fish again.

Haiku Poetry

Words dance on the page,
Ink whispers secrets profound,
Poetry's embrace.

April, by the pond
two old men debating the
nature of haiku

Learn To Read Haiku Poetry

To read poetry
      the most passive plus pleasure
            if active, don't read

Only One

only one star shined
so bright that it lit up the
night until the day

The Healing Dance

the drums got me now
I don't know how but I leaped
high I touched the sky
