There was a German Shepherd named George
Who - on only the best would gorge
If you offered him ground beef or fish
He would growl and cover his dish
He’d howl with a histamine headache
If fed anything less than steak.

For Robert
Check out all of Robert Gorelick’s funny doggie Limericks.
Carl Tamayo played forward,
Making gutsy moves with guard,
As he well performed and starred.
Whilst Bruno Mars ascends new stars
Elvis Presley haunts old boudoirs
Second to none
They both have fun
Just strumming their gutsy guitars.
You punish yourself
for not becoming a naught.
The triumph had
destroyed you completely.
A seductive purr
of a surrogate write,
wants to lift your parameters
without attribution.
A vague integrity was
choking the vitals.
The defeat was within.
You failed to accept the judgement.
Rendered clean after
the bristled attack, your shirt
does not show stains
of slurred concentrate.
The guilt was not the same.
It was the ephemeral moon.
Night was not going to wait.
I was not ready to sin.

soaring swift and high is brave Butterfly,
believing really he's lord of the sky;
one sunny day, he thinks he is able
to bully an actual full-sized eagle
who looks to him as a nervous dummy
with neither fire nor guts in his tummy,
a pushover eagle, vulnerable
to assaults, and pretty much unable
to duck his kicks and jabs, his straight and cross;
and so he bravely flips and flaps across
the scared eagle's unperturbed countenance
with haughty wings of daring confidence;
and when the sky is brightly azure blue,
a truly pissed off eagle must make do,
flying long and real tired without a snack,
with bold Butterfly in his..brrrp..stomach !
