 “Each morning is an invaluable gift- To be alive is a boon, to be able to stay healthy is a bonus, to enjoy love and beauty is bliss”- By Poet

Early morn, I wake up from my sleep,
Sensing on my cheeks, dawn’s first gentle kiss.
As the shroud of gloom is lifted off from earth’s face,
In my heart rises sweet whispers of bliss.

Yesterday’s mistakes, gone like vaporous nothings.
A calming peace gently overpowers my soul.
The air is crisp, quiet and pleasantly still.
The morn opens new scenes and vistas whole.

Flowers gently sway in the passing breeze.
Bees buzz around, not giving rest to tiny wings.
Coloured confetti fall from the Gulmohar tree.
Butterflies flit around as my soul in joy, sings.

Remember, how lucky we are to see another sunrise,
To savour what nature offers as an inestimable prize!

A Roadside Flowering Tree

“The earth laughs in flowers.”
- Quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson
---------------------------------------
Spring has just taken a leap
Blushing sun is on hot trail
Teases trees with playful smile.
Surprises avenue tree
Flares up flamboyant clusters
Impatient - so like new bride.
Gulmohar is her sweet name
Peacock like, scarlet petals
Her Beauty lights up sun's rays.
While the other nearby trees
Stand in bare green downplaying
Their potent beauty now veiled
Zealous, like merry bridesmaids
Wait in line for flowering time.

National Poetry Month

River, Heart, Gaze, Eclipse, Lush, Tender
-------------------------------------
A gentle flowing RIVER
reflecting an ECLIPSED moon
no tides, no pretended pull,
unlike influenced ocean
flows TENDERLY not hurting
dear lives depending on her

LUSH vibrant gulmohar trees
stand sentinel banking her
where greenish feathery leaves
sway to give full shade decor
They speak in new love whispers,
meaningless sweet so nothings

Oh! Tired song birds sleep-perching
light on frail branches of trees
Embrace lovers' ambience,
a lullaby to HEART'S fill
Stars GAZE in combined wonder
at glistening mild river

Somewhere near, a lonely heart
immersed in soothing music
Asks the cool breeze to carry
harmonics and secret notes
listeners hear, walkers walk
towards divine melody

the Gulmohar tree outside our balcony
stands erect rooted to Mother Earth
its life movements are within itself
with results visible for all to see

may inner radiance be our introduction
transcendental fragrance enlivening
tranquil heart that puts all at ease
and warm hands all wish to hold

The sun went down to a melancholy beat.
Harmonizing with the day's waning deceit
A motion was seen in the evening shadow.
Nightfall triggered mystery and hallow.

It could have been a superb writer.
Setting a fascinating story's vibe insider
As the wind tickled my flesh gently.
An airy glow drew the moon intently.

Coral jasmine blossoms in clumped form.
I realize I'm in a peaceful, intriguing charm.
A nostalgic ode to leisure and repose
Wordsmiths retreat to tears and prose.

Under the aesthetic Gulmohar tree.
Where peace gently swings with glee.
A place seemed the same as a safe haven.
As balm for poets where hearts are driven.

Only their tears could reach there.
Boost poetic flow; the rack is bare.

Love Proposed

He sat beside her in the park bench,
On a beautiful balmy morning,
Breezy and pleasant after a drizzle;
Birds came out of their temporary shelters,
And chirped and chattered and whistled.
A pair of butterflies in a tree nearby,
Fluttered their pink and purple wings in joy,
And danced around each other: a moment
So perfect, he assumed, to propose to her!
She sat gazing at the distant gulmohar,
He took her hand mustering courage
To face her bold and beautiful face;
Then he muttered, stuttered, and finally uttered:
"Will you be with me forever?!"

Nature Is Joyous

"Nature from my house"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gulmohar tree red flowers abound
breeze creates red carpet on ground
Dove bulbul sparrow parrot crow robin
chirp merrily in morning
melodious surround
Morning in mountains fog descents
shining ice scattered around.
Evening sun, a red ball descents,
slowly on other side, west bound.
red vented bulbul
built nest in my balcony -
perfect bowl of twigs
Indian Summer
It comes like a monster with deep red eye,
With a shroud of death, covering the sky,
From the bar of ocean, drinking raw beer,
With deep red eye it comes like a monster.
In a dusty barren field, it plays like a mad,
In the kingdom of hell, our day goes bad.
River lies silent with her frail shrill health,
Forest stops singing, losing their wealth;
Mountain prays God, sitting like a saint;
With her frail shrill health river lies silent.
In the colorless garden sun laughs loud,
In the empty dead puddle, it paints all rude.
We feel nice taste with tasty sweet melon;
Chilled juice we make with sour little lemon,
Cucumber with salt chilly, we enjoy our best;
With tasty sweet melon we have nice taste.
A best hue is painted with Gulmohar* flower,
Life is little tough, in hot Indian summer.
Colourful Memories
Colourful Memories
They are blurr like grey,
But at times bright as yellow,
The band's in a rainbow,
A kaleidoscopic arena in mind,
The boarding on bicycle,
With support of a red gulmohar tree trunk,
Kids jumping in the puddles,
Chasing blue ,green butterflies,
OH! The passing of the aeroplane in sky,
A fusion of black and white with family,
At times,sad,silent,cloudy.
The Corner of My Garden
In the corner of my garden
There is a patch of untouched nature
No trimmed edges or neat hedges
Here beauty is free to roam
Tiny marigold pops gingerly around
The solitary angelic daisy
Hibiscus droops from the nearby bush
A shade for me to rest
And here as I lie on the lacy grass
And see the rays filtering down
I see the doves mating dance
On the branches of the Gulmohar
I close my eyes in contentment
As a two-winged visitor
Brings a little bit of perfume
From the roses in the garden next door
The Sound of Distant Ankle Bells
The Sound of Distant Ankle Bells
Memories of those delicate tinkling bells,
casually fastened around calloused feet,
take hold of my waking moments,
and fling my thoughts back to a distant time,
where folk-songs were heartily sung,
joyful, yet hopelessly out of rhyme.
I barely saw her, a construction labourer perhaps,
hauling bricks, cement, anything, on a scorching Delhi day,
while in the semi-shade of a Gulmohar tree, her infant silently lay.
A cacophony of thoughts such as these swirl around,
yanking me away from the now, to my cow-dung littered childhood playground.
Now, a lifetime of displacement has hushed the jangling chorus of the past,
to a faint trickle of sounds, as distant as an ocean heard inside tiny sea-shells,
and,
I know, that the orchestral nostalgic crescendo, rises, dips, and swells,
as tantalisingly near, yet a world of time away, as were the tinkling of her ankle-bells.
Numb
NUMB
It' s  all numb ,its all numb.
Feelings  are gone.
Crumbled to pieces.
Walked the autumn roads.
Thinking of someone to hold.
On the lonely roads.
It's all numb ,it' s all numb.
It's all numb ,it' s all numb.
Turned back........
Gulmohar  leaves felt like own.
Every autumn they left grounded
Even  being trees  soul.........
They uttered  "you 're just a
small human "......
We have to perish every autumn
and left alone........
After being a soul to someone......
"You -re just a small human"........
It's all numb, it's all numb.
You came alone,you have to live alone.
There is no one to hold.
Palms met those leaves.
And those leaves fled away.
To live alone.
Thought me to live alone
It's all numb ,it' s all numb
It's all gone, it's all gone.
    now its all gone.
