Quote: "Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you really love." By Rumi

             **************************
Spring geckos dance amid the early dew,
Olive snuggles with dulcet dreams as mint.
A duckling settles softly in a shaded view,
Okenite feathers smoke in a dizzying hint.

Emerald drips flow over the damp meadow,
While May rain pours down, akin to arrows.
Windswept snags utter a rose-scented breeze,
A smooth swoosh paint with oakmoss squeeze.

Purple iridescence widens in spinel phlox,
Ancient songs reverberate in the grassy blocks.
With the light, a shooting star makes its way,
Dashing over a midnight black onyx display.

In the embrace of mauve marigold air,
Dandelion tufts sparkle as opals laid bare.
Whispers in the sky, drifting glare.

Premium Membera grassy side

the grass is greener
on the other side
of
the otherworldly sidewalk
where
the glass harmonica is grassier
where
the grass doesn't grow
on
a busy streetcar named
apathy

Premium MemberGrassy Ground

The pheasant has laid her eggs on a grassy ground
She's joyously restless though fears in her abound
She's aware of the haughty hounds roaming around
The pheasant has laid her eggs on a grassy ground
She knows nature will protect them with love profound
Her eggs will hatch and chicks will fly victory crowned
The pheasant has laid her eggs on a grassy ground
She's joyously restless though fears in her abound

verdant grassy knoll, cardinal flying warm summery sun
lullaby ready buzzing of jet plane, gorgeous memories
scent of sweet lilacs, drone of lawnmower and songbirds trilling

Through a Wilderness of Grassy Plains

THROUGH A WILDERNESS OF GRASSY PLAINS,
WHERE WAR TOOK PLACE
IN A WORLD OF PAINS.

OUR COUNTRY MEN, OUR FATHERS, SONS & FRIENDS,
 SENT TO BATTLE IN WAR,
& WHICH BECAME,
THEIR EACH DEATHLY ENDS.

THEY WHOM FOUGHT FOR THEIR LAND,
 OR SO THEY THOUGHT.
INSTEAD LED BY THE GOVERNMENTS CRUELTY
LAYING IN THEIR GRAVES,
NOW IN DEATH THEY'RE LEFT TO ROT.

OUR SOLDIERS HAILED HEROES FOR ACTING OUT WARS DEMANDS.
OF THEIR VERY OWN COUNTRYS, BASTARDING GOVERNING HANDS!

FAMILES LEFT BEHIND WITH THEIR GRIEF FOR THEIR DEAD
WHICH HAS COME ABOUT BY AN UNJUST CRUELTY BY THE GOVERNMENT LED!

UPON THE FIELDS OF MASS DESTRUCTION IN WAR.
 TO THEIR VERY OWN DEATHS
NOW IN THEIR GRAVES THAT THEY FOUGHT FOR.

WHY DIDNT THEY LISTEN TO THEIR PARENTS INSTEAD
OF THAT BASTARDING GOVERNMENT THAT LEFT THEM EACH OF THEM DEAD.

IF I HAVE LEARNT ANYTHING IN MY TIME ON THIS EARTH IS ILL TEACH MY CHILDREN TO GIVE NOT INTO THE LAWS & GIVE GREED A WIDE BERTH.

Premium MemberEre the Grassy Knoll Gathers Momentum

Early on, ere the grassy knoll gathers momentum
huddled shivering against the ground, stemless tops
of yellow dot the lawns of the old neighborhood, signaling
winter's demise without shouting Spring too loudly...

In a wink or a blink of an eye, these wild buttons
mushroom, spreading far and wide, usurping
the green mantle of my lawn, stems now shooting forth
twisting and turning at jagged angles, bizarrely...

at times, wild undergrowth barging into a (civilized) urban plot
when poof! their signature yellow smiles vanish, dispersed into
puff balls, architectural marvels, wind-scattered seeds, ubiquitous
but not before my inner child picks out a lovely bouquet
    for my saintly mother

On Grassy Bank

On grassy bank beside the stream
Beneath the weeping willow tree
I watched her, for she was me
Weeping silently
Oh river, take my heart
Downstream with you..

Gently as the morning dew
Softly as the evening hue.

Our Grassy Lot

Our grassy lot above the sea,
Were sadness seldom found.
melodies and ocean songs,
twirled us round and round.

Never a reprieve from our
laughter, nor a dull day befell.
A relationship so mighty,
unafraid of the largest swell.

The wind shifts, and clouds roll
in as the night comes nye.
It promises to be a passing
storm but how the weather lies.

The salty air has spelled the
end, as the paint chips away.
Misery breaks apart the boards
and the grass is turning gray.

Rabbit watches now turtle
clocks, time now bitter still.
Rid me of my timely matters, I
pray that be gods will.

Her body broke against the
rocks, as did my mind that day.
Good night my dearest friend in
love, I will never get to say.

Master mariners and sailors
broken by the tide.
Reach to her for life and love,
as I did in summer time.

On a Grassy Hill

I went to the countryside and fell in love with sheep.
Even at this late date.

A city girl wanted to weave
a new fabric for living.

Run with them,
Lie with them,
Shear them.

Touch the lanolin,
Feel the softness,
Smell the rawness.

Look into those eyes,
Dye the wool.
Weave a shawl or blanket,
and crawl under it

Close to the earth
on a grassy hill
In Gloucestershire,
I slept.
