On Grassy Bank

On grassy bank beside the stream
Beneath the weeping willow tree
I watched her, for she was me
Weeping silently
Oh river, take my heart
Downstream with you..

Gently as the morning dew
Softly as the evening hue.

Sheila, I love short poems. It takes a lot of talent to express one's point or vision in only a few words. Well done!
