She looked pretty at the Zebra crossing,
weaving slowly, her shampooed hair tossing,
cars stopped still, to allow her go across,
who wouldn’t stop to let a beauty pass!
She looked neither to her left nor her right,
body cutting out shape in pants bit tight,
eyes fixed on the messages on her phone,
tripping when side stepping a traffic cone.
She continued her walk on the pavement,
her gaze on phone, no other engagement,
people just getting out of her long strides,
moving out, leaning against walls on sides.
She will, let us pray, march on and reach home,
Walking in a dream with eyes on her phone,
Smart phone habits have made people road blind,
live in a cyber, not engage their mind.
a habit that has cost many their lives,
smart phones kill more now than do guns and knives,
when use road pay attention to surrounds,
watch each step well as your feet touch the ground.
not fashionable if on phone walking,
drivers, road users find it annoying,
drop habit, urge others to do the same,
can save lives, limbs, if this habit we tame!

.When I was younger if I saw a box store I turned into the drive.
Spent an hour there, buying things I probably never needed.
Today I am sitting across from one, will be here an hour.
No desire to go across the street or into that store.
I am older now, not wiser, but I do not want to be poorer.
So I stay right here, in my car, saving fifty to a hundred dollars.

There’s a whisper in my chamber,
I’m yet to sojourn in slumber,
Something hides in the twilight,
Something is shrouded by the night.
I sense a presence,
I don’t know its essence,
Something has walked through my door,
There’s a jolt in my core.
The moon stands on its podium,
The world is the stadium,
There’s a passage of the unseen,
But not through a figurine.
I look out of the window,
There’s no walking shadow,
Twilight speaks to me,
I go across an uncanny sea.

Got to fix the car’s flat tire
the grass needs to be cut
All the gutters need to be cleaned
and fix the gate that won’t stay shut
Winterize the doors and windows
wash the grime from the car
Clean off the garage shelves
just to find where all the tools are
Pull the weeds out of the garden
test the water in the pool
Change out the furnace filters
make sure the condenser is running cool
Repair that leaky faucet
find out where the dog is getting out
Go across the road to the neighbors
to see what his digging is all about
Run down to the hardware store
buy tools for a project I’ll never start
Cut down that vine out back
before it tears the siding apart
The roof needs some new shingles
I have to watch some football with the friends
Nascar, basketball, fishing, and hunting
it seems that a husband’s work never ends
Count all them chores a husband does
adds up to be about one thousand and two
It’s no wonder I’m so blamed tuckered out
by the time the weekend is through

Pick a book I'll read it
Any one will do
I always want to have something
That I can do with you
Montgomery, Smith, and Tolstoy
Weren't too complex
But didn't you say Shakespeare,
Was who you wanted next?
How'd you do on Wordle?
It was pretty hard today
Oh, I see you got it
Three tries? What can I say?
How about Sunday's crossword,
Do you have some time for it?
I'll go across and you go down
'Til it's finished, we won't quit
Need song ideas? I'll pick some
Then you decide which ones
I'll play anything you want
I'll take it as it comes
All I'm trying to tell you
Is for me it means so much
That you would do things with me
And share a common touch
Of things enjoyed together
That we both like to do
Like two birds of a feather
I'm the red and you're the blue

What is normal?
I have skin, eyes to see, a nose to smell, a mouth to eat, ears to hear the songs I love.
Normal but feel like extraterrestrials from above.
I yearn to travel to places I have never seen.
Will I feel normal when I go across sea?
I understand people more than most.
Because of that I observe and seem invisible like I'm a ghost.
I dress pretty normal for a lady.
Put mismatching socks slouchy hat maybe.
My eyes are big, honest, and kind.
Maybe normal isn't a thing I can find.
Unique as I am is beautiful too.
At least I'm genuine, yes it's true.
I love chasing sunsets like a gypsy.
Nature calls making me shifty.
I see through people and know their heart.
I'm sensitive not normal and accepting myself is a start.
I'm creative, an artist, a writer, a poet.
At least I am me and I know it.

Close to the track's end,
Jumping over the last hurdle,
Hope stands beside us to stitch and mend,
Thoughts of unfulfilled desires saddle.
Walking through the end's door,
A few miles to go across the border,
A tick, a tock and more,
Each dawn chauffeurs us further.
Christmas is here,
A time to give and share,
Celebrating the birth of God’s son, loving and dear,
Sombre moods are dispersed by moments of cheer.
Cities and homes wear a colourful look,
There’s a global declaration of love,
Rancour is erased from the offender’s book,
Joy lights on us live a dove.

Alone,
Alone at night,
My legs,
Feel hot as light,
And I sit,
I sit alone,
On my own,
At night to reflect,
Are they correct,
Are they direct,
I only know,
Are my reflections in a row,
No one knows except me,
No three he’s or she’s would understand,
My head is my land,
It’s not special or grand,
It’s my thoughts,
They tend to not go across,
Who knows what is my source,
I don’t have to force,
As I sit alone,
I may have thoughts
They are unknown,
And as this the end,
I go to my bed,
I rest my head,
And go to sleep
And I don’t wake up,
From the deep.

On a frosty opaque day in windy winter
I, an old defoliated tree denied the sky and the soil
by the young aggressive ones spreading branches,
walk out of the green forest in sheer desperation.
Crossing the contorted contours of the barren badlands,
I go across the pallid plateau to a city quite far,
where I could see no sun shining with survival panacea,
so I couldn’t soak the rays to get my lost foliage back.
I could neither find sustaining soil of bonding sympathy,
so I couldn’t stand upright in the storm of strife.
Dejected, I then morph into a human figure without roots
in the remote corner of the concrete forest.
In dismal unkind desolateness my heart soon breaks,
and the forsaken fragile hands hang unheld,
picking up pining the strewn shards abandoned,
from the cauldron of a smoldering summer day.
Disillusioned, I walk back to the forest I once left,
and burn the essence of humanity in the forest fire.

Across the brook, the bridge lay broken
stops the traveler’s momentum
he can't wade into the water
and wet his clothes and shoes
he had to find the stones
to step on and go across
they were mossy he saw
he can slip and fall
a twig can do the trick
scoop out the moss
he opened and held his shoes
and placed a foot on the stone
the slippery stones of life lay ahead
to reach a goal

/yo?o'fôre?/
a feeling or state of intense excitement and happiness.
their giggles, their screams
the silence of euphoria is like feeling a high vibration go across a room
each footstep,
each beat,
each memory,
when they're sad, that dark heavy feeling on your heart as a tear is about to shed
every hangout is like long lost cows ready to be slaughtered, reuniting in a farm sanctuary
once again the last page of a chapter is flipped
remember what we told each other?
at the end of each night all we have is each other
they’re called friends and loved ones
the adrenaline when we make plans
the late nights spent with your favourite people
not seeing them makes me more grateful for those memories that happened
the nostalgia is like reliving a moment
a moment when we’re alive
a moment when we never know what may happen after death
take a picture when they do their makeup for the first time
take a video when they do their first ollie
they may not like the photos and videos now but one day
they’ll go back to them and cherish them forever
what is that phenomenal feeling?
it’s called euphoria.

A wolf, a lamb, a
corn sack, must cross a river,
but one fits with you.
First lamb, then corn, return lamb
then wolf, then return for lamb.
Date: 06/20/2019
*The wolf eats the lamb, the lamb eats the corn sack - how can all three cross and not eat the other, on either bank of the river?

You won’t even try to meet me halfway,
your vertigo fears
are faintly voiced from a far distance
You’re scared to go across
the abyss of a possible pulmonary disappointment ...
Fearful of the waterfalls
from another failed emotional investment
Falling in love ... again;
these unsettling, thrilling thoughts
give you such height phobia fright
Steamy daydreams of falling into the volcanic chasm,
covers you with cold sweat shudders at night
Now I understand your trembling trepidation,
leap of faith hesitation is an honest reaction
Letting go of being pulse vulnerable
takes a lot of sensitive courage
Don’t be afraid to cross this new, unknown threshold
Let the bridge of hope unfold:
Taste the sweet joy ~ chocolate kisses of gold
Fear not ... fall into the chasm
Reach for my heart, which is stretched out;
for in this passionate free-fall,
trust will slow those swirling doubts
And gently place us over the tear rainbow
Let us fall into the chasm together,
rushing upward
towards the beautiful light forever
Always letting each other know —
that this down-to-earth love ...
each dawn,
will ever stronger grow

The beautiful things we ignore
The ulgy things we enjoy
In search of the purple elephant we ravage the earth
from Alpha to eta
Down to Omega
There is no more tree in this dystiopian land
Because we can no more farm
Greed has burried our land
Looking for miracles we forget our God
In search of churches that call their pastors Lord
But I dont need to step out of my room because I talk to my Creator
He is my motivator and my protector
Young ladies go out in search for the purple elephant
They crave for wealth that is not relevant
They try to cheat time
And do all sort of crime
Selling their bodies for money
But they become an empty shell
Like a dry barren well
Why search for the purple elephant
When there is treasure under your feet
And your mind and be expanded
So that you never worry about what to eat
In search of the purple elephant that you may never find
When if you go across the Atlantic and leave this place behind
Your paradise is in your mind
It all start with how you think
If you love your fellow brother
Then this world will never shrink
