campfire flames flare bright
licking high into the night
fingers seek mirrors
to show the utmost delight
the fire wants to share tonight
your eyes catch that glow—
reflecting in afterglow
like rose under chin
shows a warm red glow on skin
a token of love aflame
out beyond what's near
I see blazing stars mirrored
back through time and space
quivering constellations
pulsing with light's energy
flames carve your outline
the darkness has etched you there
to keep for itself
as it unhooks your shadow
so that you float out of reach
somewhere passed the stars
the first light still floods outwards
unchained, unafraid—
I see it in your eyes now
as the place it will return
the light in your eyes
showcases that I share you
with the cosmic light
released from the wood by flames
kindled by our devotion
your eyes hold fire's glow
a warmth only lovers know
is light from first dawn
drifting across starlit skies
as embers gleam in your eyes
embers gleam in your eyes
embers gleam in your eyes

Fear not the countless stars that light the sky,
For many naysayers still will deny.
Find them a place where they must stay away,
The clouds will part, your star will shine today.
Each star, a lone pattern in glow and gleam.
So nothing dims its light or halts its dream.
The clouds hold space to cradle your surprise,
For many reasons, your star has to rise.
Just know your star must shine despite the dark,
A mentor great in knowledge lights a spark,
Ignites a flame no force can quench or tame,
Its glow entrenched beyond all doubt or shame.
Let not the winds of fear obscure your way,
For dawn will break to bring a brighter day.
Hold firm to dreams, let courage be your guide,
With steadfast hope, your light will gleam and glide.

Miles apart in the gleam, I believe her,
Upright on the porch, staring at the mighty above,
Her glassy eyes shimmering with a deceptive smile,
Her loose hair flowing like ocean waves.
Must she be seeing the moon similar as mine?
Our children lie in slumber deep,
Too young to grasp the storms we face.
Here I stand, lost in whispers of the dark,
Unformed, without any foresight.
Oh, my love! How will I ever repay those emotions?
The deepest depths no longer sting,
Perhaps the Almighty is a reconsideration away.
What have I done so horrendous,
For you to endure this?
My soul feels lost in its entirety.
Where a blink's separation takes us closer to certainty,
My beloved, forgive me for this single night of parting.

Irony of Life
In the quest for more, desires take flight,
A luxury car owner envies the jet's height.
The motorbike rider dreams of the car's gleam,
While the cyclist longs for the engine's scream.
The one on foot watches the bike glide by,
Yearning for wheels, a chance to fly.
And the one with legs, in silent plea,
Envies the walker, wishes to be free.
From planes to feet, desires interlace,
In the irony of life, we all chase but nothing.

I'm just a lonely soul, so blue
I am not even worth my due
But then, in times I cease to drive
Gleam of her dream keeps me alive
My soul wanders without a home
Like it was left alone to roam
But when plagues of darkness arrive
Gleam of her dream keeps me alive
For, there's a promise I must keep
For someone dear, I love so deep
So when my soul ceases to strive
Gleam of her dream keeps me alive

This torment
that i’ve been going through
When will this end?
Day and night passed
But even the day feels night
The gloomy and cloudy of every season
Is the only thing that I see.
What is summer?
What is day?
When all I can see is darkness
Even in the middle of a sunny day.
Rainy, Cloudy, stormy
Is what I’m used to
Give me sunny give me summer
But even in this season all is see is dullness.
They say darkness is peaceful
Oh really? I say
I don’t think so
‘Coz for me it feels torture.
Maybe someday I would
–I can appreciate the night
I wish I may, I wish I might
But I can’t if darkness of the night is the only thing I see.
Give me a glimpse of light
And I would appreciate the night
Hand me a bit of gleam
And maybe I can learn to embrace the darkness.

What a quiz-filled existence!
Blunt surprises form essence;
Flowers full-bloom yesterday,
Fade and fall and mix the mud today...!
Kith and kin sweet-tasting once,
Turn bitter and cause nuisance;
Glamour gone face flits and flips,
Stiffness surrounds nerves and bones; pain grips;
Wealth is spent in waning health,
Secrets shared often in stealth;
Riddles in internal bounce,
Restlessness, often, patience renounce...!
I take things, yet, lightly... yes,
Why should live in ceaseless stress?
I've designed my pretty tomb,
My coffin looks like my mother's womb...!

Unspoken dream glints summer’s amber eve
Caressing sweet musings longings appease
Where motifs of romance ecstasies weave
When requited desires strum twilight breeze
Buoyant blows season’s mirth lilting lush glee
When blazing rendezvous emotions churn
Courting heart’s appeal in indulgent plea
Where blossoms of bliss fond fantasies yearn
Beholden to your glance when heavens glow
How do the robins know to trill your song
And wooing night's fervor where passions go
Why does flirting moon always come along
Believe me, my dear, goddess of love knows
Though secrets of hearts she’ll never disclose

In moonbeam pierced silk haze of the night dark
two empty benches stuck in memory
in gleam of nostalgia in forlorn park,
surging on stream of lost time to drown me.
Two empty benches stuck in memory,
holding touch of our entwined emotion,
surging on stream of lost time to drown me
in the obscure depth of your mind’s ocean.
Holding touch of our entwined emotion,
our hearts’ mute pulses on the benches perch.
In the obscure depth of your mind’s ocean,
for our tranquil love in stilled time I’ll search.
Our hearts’ mute pulses on the benches perch
in gleam of nostalgia in forlorn park.
For our tranquil love in stilled time I’ll search
in moonbeam pierced silk haze of the night dark.

Fishbelly gleam makes my eyes pop bright
Fishbelly gleam opens me ready to fight
Fishbelly gleam makes me smile and wiggle
Fishbelly gleam makes me laugh and giggle
So you had never heard of it, you say.
Fishbelly gleam, what is it, by the way?
It’s a fun term I use whenever I can.
It confuses the status quo, and the man.
Fishbelly gleam is laughing in delight
Fishbelly gleam is simply out of sight
Fishbelly gleam for you and for me.
How much more fun can a phrase truly be?

As she looked at the handsome old man pass by
She was a widow and sadly missed
Her cuddle from her husband and a loving kiss
She never thought she would be alone
Without her husband to call her own
If she could meet a man as a friend
To accompany her to life's end
Someone who was widowed too
Who sometimes felt a little blue
Not a lover just a friend
A friendship both knew must end
When this chapter of their life was over
The friends would part from one and other
To return to their true lovers
She ascended into the sky
WITH A SMILE ON HER FACE AND A GLEAM IN HER EYE
