the bones are the first to know,
they hum a low dirge,
like a bass line in a dying bar,
deep under the skin’s slow retreat.
blood stumbles in the corridors,
loses its way in the veins,
tries to remember where it used to go.
the heart?
it forgets the beat,
like a drunk forgetting the name
of the woman he once begged for.
lungs collapse like cheap umbrellas,
breath rattles in
like pennies in a tin cup—
a wheeze, a whisper,
then nothing but
a waiting room silence.
and the soul,
if there is one,
it slips out the back
like it owes them all back rent.
Sweet Moments Of Passion
Once again I find myself
lost inside sweet memories
of moments spent with you.
Lost inside your smile
and in your eyes
that watch me, so intent.
You look at me
that way you do
and I become undone.
My senses all fill up with you
until there is you
and only you
and every part of me comes alive
with everything you make me feel.
I blossom for you
as I wait for you
to come to me
and love me.
You fused with me
locked in a dance
that is as old as time itself.
I am lost in passion deep
as you pull me into your waiting arms
and kiss me with the lips
that I love so well.
Liquid fire rushes through my veins
as my heart keeps time
with the song my body
is playing for you
while I lose myself
within your pleasure
and I am filled with joy.
I GOT TO PASS GASS
Oh no my stomach hurts
We all know what that means,
I'm either gonna throw up
Or I've been eating bean's,
I'm gonna say my excuse me's early
And this is why,
I've been eating a lot of cheese to
And I'm pretty sure I got to let one fly,
Come on all of us had that moment
When a fart came out and you had to spray a lot of febreeze,
Sometimes you just can't help it
Especially after drinking a 2 liter Pepsi,
Oh boy it's coming you better leave the room
I don't want to pollute the air but I'm to far away to make it to the bathroom,
OK everyone its about to come out
If you don't want to smell it hurry up and get out!
Right as rain and true of heart
the first bird of the spring
this fine poet this gentle one
was made for finer things.
From rough beginnings to ends
from hardship to sorrow
her words sang out to all
her time only borrowed.
The needs of family must
come before her own need
to write, to sing, to be
before her own soul's creed.
We miss our song bird, Robin
we miss her words her heart
pray she'll come back to us
to Poetry where she started.

Old Mama Gass
she lives in a zoo
she has three furry children
who fill her heart through.
There's one Auggie, one Kelly
and one Kandi Kane
who is often referred to
as her Kandi Pain.
There is always a pile
of fur on the floor
she vacuums it up
but she quickly gets more.
She once had an Ashley
but she went away
it has been five years
since that very sad day.
This past December
she was joined by Boo
her sweet little kitty
in heaven now too.
They both joined another
a black cat named Dink
who she use to find curled up
asleep in the sink.
Then there was Ratley
so cuddly and fat
she loved him quite dearly
yes, he was a rat.
She had so many others
through life as she grew
There was Patches and Daisy
and their puppies , too.
She loves them all dearly
in heaven and here
they have filled up her heart
with love and good cheer.
She knows there is nothing
like the love of a pet
you will love them forever
and never forget.

And making others laugh.
