As i see my today, i smile at my
yesterday, and my future well that i
excitedly await, glad i changed my
state, of mind that is...
To positive, willing to give, dying
daily so in me He can live, as i sit by
the riv-,
-er, no longer miss the old me but
instead loving the new her, cleansed
by His water, no longer buying
quarters, slaughter...
The enemy, by staying in my word
daily, day by day He heals me, reveal
to me, that i clearly, got a gift inside
of me, beautifully...
Manifesting, a poetic blessing,
steadily pressing, without a
question, no more stressing!

Together

You are someone special
And you deserve a medal
I loved you from the start
And still do With all my heart
You are all I ever needed In life
And one day I will be your wife
But till that day comes
We will have so much fun
Trying new things in different
ways
Taking adventures everyday
Making life count each step of
the way
You and me baby till the end of
day
In everything that we do or say
20 & 1 is for us
Let's live life without a fuss
So many things to do and see
And the best part of it will be
you and me

Ode To Baboon Face

Can't recall a time before you that
I'd ever laughed so loud
I hear the music clearer now
When all I heard was sound
You taught me how to drink and toke
Like real teenagers do
And brought me cups of chicken soup
When I had colds and flu
It hasn't always been this way though
Not always platonic
For the first day we ever met the hate
I felt was chronic
Your belly laugh, your squeeky voice
Your gappy goofy teeth
The way your pants fall off your ass
Whoever would believe
That one day I would laugh like you, at you
At everything
Who knew behind your baboon face that
You could bloody sing
Your pudgy hands would grasp the neck
Of your beloved guitar
The only thing you played that day happened
To be my heart
From hate to love, then afterall it's back
To being friends
I'll be forever grateful that you drive me
Round the bend!
I wouldn't change one piece or part or thing
That makes you,you
So thanks for all the feral times
For the hullabaloo

Friend-2

Its funny how life works
never to really see the beauty
one has inside or the sadness
in the heart that beats so silently

One day maybe life will be fair
never again to feel so much pain
But until that day my friend
you will always have me

Mate

wonderful met

friends of leaving mate

treasured sets

mystery of cherishing faith

how wished could it let

if we let go even with ennui.

for better and not worst

a salaam to our golden threshold

let us smile by good of morning been so awake..

one day we shall miss without a kiss...

why not be,

a pride of happiness uncased

groom of bridal at-ease

for one day we be called deceased

so shall one say `rest in peace

salaam ya mate

we again never hate

lets tie our love without a bait

and remain forever friends as we bet

for Our God be the Glory....

Premium Member Friends With You

Over the years our friendship is a timeless treasure
Each part unique that no one could measure
Parts woven into segments of time
Creating a bond that only two could find.

A friend who walks by your side through life
Who listens, to your woes and strife
Someone you can count on day or night
Someone who supports you wrong or right.

Together you walk down life's pathway
Making the journey day by day
Creating lasting memories over time
Into the future aging like fine wine.

Struggles

There are many feelings that over take her vessel day in and day out.
She struggles to face her own feelings she harbors within
while at the same time feeling like it is the end.
She reaches up to find a hand,
That is when she realizes she has got friends.
Friends that truly care and a few who have been there a time or two.

Hope and Happiness

The Lord provides hope and happiness day by day,
This is God's blessing and way.

To live in a society both complex and divine,
This society both human and refined.

Talents respected and enhanced,
A chance to celebrate life and dance.

There is always hope for tomorrow,
God provides us with intelligent companions, perhaps only to borrow.

They are there for awhile,
Visiting with us on our isle.

Tomorrow they may have gone their independent way,
Perhaps they only stayed for a day.

Each day when the sun rises and the sun sets,
God's beauty is everywhere to appreciate yet.

To breathe the fresh air and to know God cares for us,
All relatives and friends each day and night, a friendship ever so bright.

Blessings so many and so kind and to return home to the Lord divine,
A God complex and refined, a good and loyal companion of mine.

School Days

School, about which everyone has different taste
For all children it is not a waste
Grows up to learn, write, and play
And to make statues with clay…..

Days of schooling are the valuable days to remember
Might be of Jan, Sept or December
Where every child comes to join
Forgetting that who has how much of coins

Starts from the Morning Prayer
And the songs which we sing
Assembly ends with the lectures of principal
Considered as the king…

Each day comes with a bright glow
We go to the school in the bus
In which the driver makes the horn blow
So fast the 8 periods pass away
And then everyone goes their own way..

12 years have gone and we are grown ups now
We wonder how fast the years have passed
We ended the last day of the school
With a party blast….

Everyone had tears in eyes to leave the school, teachers and friend
But each one was determined to work hard
For what they had planned
Promising to keep in touch; we sadly scattered
But still in our hearts, the school glittered

Might be one day after long time,
When I meet my friends and ask;
“How are you?”
Who knows if they mix up the letters and say
“Who are you?”

A Good Day

Today is a good day to be with your companion
And to listen with your heart.
You will see yourself through her eyes
Today; is a good day to be with your companion
Only to show your ability to analyze
And solve his every problem?
Today is a good day to be with your companion
And to listen with your heart.

(To learn more about this fascinating young man, see his blogs!)

Adeleke, Adeleke, you blew in like a breeze;

A breath of welcome air, you set us all at ease.

Adeleke, Adeleke, already I can see

You have a cheerful nature and a love of poetry.

Adeleke, Adeleke, you’re not my son-in-law,

And yet already I’ve become your new adopted ma!

Adeleke, Adeleke, your fame is spreading wide.

You’ll be the son in whom ALL of us older gals confide!

Adeleke, Adeleke, I know you seek a wife.

But don’t be rushed; relax and learn to just enjoy life.

Adeleke, Adeleke, with all your many charms,

I’m sure that soon enough, you’ll hold a wife inside your arms.

And one last thing, Adeleke, my son-in-poetRAY,

Is it “Ha day LAY kay,” “Ha DAY lay kay” or “Ha day lay KAY?”

Premium Member Shirlene's Mothers Day

Our lives are meant to be a journey
Consisting of days, both up and down.
While we revel in the happy times
We can't escape those days of frown.

But on this day as you're surrounded
By those who surely love you most.
To a special friend and Mother
In thought, we raise our glass, and toast.

Happy Mothers Day Shirlene

Time Will Bring It Out

Whenever I'm feeling sad, depresed or down,
Your humor and happiness seem to turn it around.
Your bright smiling face always lights up the black,
I only wish i could give, even a fraction back.

You look at me that way, and I can't help but feel,
That the look you're giving me, is hopefully real.
I want you to know, but a wall is in the way,
I need to tell you something that my mouth won't let me say.

Your beautiful brown eyes, staring deeply into mine,
I'm hoping somehow, we can take away the line.
The first day we met was one of the greatest in my life,
How could i possibly forget that day without strife?

All my crushes crushed me, except for one,
And with the one that didn't crush me, I've had the most fun.
I don't know how to tell you, I don't know what to say,
The words are stuck inside my heart, trying to find their way.

We've become so very close, you and I,
I want to know you, even after I die.
