Freshens Poems | Examples

Like a rocket in space

it's
you:
my life;
each day
dreams of.
Like
a morn' dew,
without blemish,
just as I wished.
As
a mint
that freshens,
with no
ceasing.
Each
day brings it
as a new birth.
Every night,
turns it into a
film for my
dreams.
New wake,
makes it an
excitement.
To
showcase this your
beauty that
shines like a
rocket in
space.

Premium MemberI LOVE THE RAIN

When the rain is really pouring down,
And the sky's overcast and grey,
I love how it freshens the streets of the town,
And watching the children play.

They chase each other and splash in the puddles,
Sail the seas in small paper boats,
Laughing, playing, running through the rain,
In their new brightly colored raincoats,

And nothing's quite like a nice warm bath,
After a walk in the rain.
Then I'll settle back with a hot cup of tea,
And watch it splash on my window pane.

The sound of the rain falling outside,
A nice cozy fire inside,
And I drift off to Dream Land,
With you here by my side.

Metaphors

A shadow breaks the day
a mind is discovered in dreams
a tall mast accrues certainty
waves are a sin of allusion

A vision is declared to the moon
Dewey light freshens the morning rose
Guilt never survives
Strange lights heads to a daze

Beautiful Rain

How beautiful is the rain

that flows in my veins

from the sky to my head

and falls down to the thirsty ground

When I speak listen says Rain

but they don't understand me when I talk

and they talk loudly with noise

and I sing a lullaby for those who listen

and cool the night with each single drop

Freshens the air and the weather

Regulating the temperature of every being

Creating beautiful smell from a wet clay

Hurray to the rain animals sing God gives water

Hurray to the rain farmers sing God gives food

Hurray to the rain nature sings we will all grow green

Ambrosia

Ambrosia floral scents emitted from plants
Reveal intentions with a presentation
Of heady fragrances arousing the senses:
Ragweed genus, beautiful and romantic.

Pleasurable moments of imagination
Express countenance in their acceptance
By extending forgiveness for irritation,
Colourful blooms with allergenic pollen.

Weigh in the sea with balmy, breeze made waves,
Silhouetted by mountains in the distance,
Freshens the face with appreciative thoughts
Of love received and returned quickly.

Something Ordinary

The cat sat on the footstool.
The curtains hang closed.
The toothbrush holder contains two brushes
The cat stretches, jumps down, miaows at the door.
The moon is full
Bush freshens the air
Cat jumps through the doorway
Streetlight illuminates the pathway
Toothbrushes chatter
Water rushes by
Cat softly taps his paws on the glass door
Runs inside, warmth
Lights out
Moving sleepily
Cats eyes wide awake
Piano plays Chopins Noctourne Opus 27 no 2

Premium MemberAre My Last Legs In Sight - Question Mark

Are my Last Legs in Sight?

Are my ‘Last Legs’ in Sight?

My time’s ‘last legs?’ Are knees (or some cylinders knocking)?
I’ve petal to metal (feel stuck in low gears).
Left side’s window won’t open; oil under hood freshens
cab air (is it dripping, perhaps, on exhaust?)
Of late, dipstick’s plumb rusty (indecent exposure
to liquids that pampering doesn’t restrain).
And my faith in what’s up too counts less than what’s grounded
where tread on ground flagellates brain’s flag in sky.

I love days where I spend time on porch now just rocking,
greet neighbors who come by, friends gained with the years,
and I’ve more time for feelings; poetic expressions
arriving get tenure, and fewer are lost.
Some voice praise for my verse, some eyes glaze (full disclosure).
First group wins blue ribbons as friends of left brain.
I sure hope that this poem’s read’s fun (none feel pounded)
for no one enjoys life’s true friends more than I!

Premium MemberA Nightingale Sings of Dawn's Glory

A Nightingale Sings of Dawn's Glory
A Nightingale sings in Berkeley Square, Mayfair
Visitors from all over the world head there
Tweets for treats in the realm of London city
Come, hear the Nightingale sing a sweet ditty.

Lovers fall in love 'neath silvery moonlight
Enchanted by mystic music of the night
Lost in the sensation of love's vibration
Magic moments of blissful fascination.

In glory of dawn the bird's up with the Lark
Flies to Trafalgar Square for a fountain spa
Freshens herself up ready for start of day
Before the many revellers come her way.

From dawn to dusk the Nightingale sings with flair
Above Mayfair's green garden in Berkeley Square.

Premium MemberPurity of White

Clouds, cotton balls, a fresh canvas, a crisp page, snow
White lives free, with confidence and no apology.
Popcorn, whipped cream, milk, cream of wheat
She is pure and innocent, fresh, and comfortable
I am honored to know her.

Freeing herself up from all the problems of the world,
White lives her truth, renewing, refreshing, inspiring
I reach for her to paint puffed up clouds,
It revitalizes my painting, beautiful contrast to the sun.
She makes me feel loved and cherished.

In the evening I sit in awe of her moon.
All knowing, self-assured, watching, enlisting silence.
White freshens up everything
She has a purity that cannot be duplicated.
A combination of all colors, she tugs at my artist heart.

Premium MemberA Do Over For You

Come closer, dearie, and let me tell you
About a cleansing concept, I know that is true
It revitalizes and freshens your likeability too

A concept that starts with a clean slate overdo,
You can start all sparkly and dazzling, giving a coo.
A resounding theme which is clearly the opposite of boo hoo

We are all starting with a diamond fresh page with no goo.
A clean white pristine canvas. Of course, the concept is new.
A happy fresh start, clean, and joyful, a do-over for you!

Premium MemberSizzling Hot Summer Days

Summer stands for beaches, parks, and camping.
In June most flowers will be in full bloom,
Zinnias, Begonias, and sweet-scented
Zephyranthes share every color, while
Lavender freshens the air with each breeze.
In July, a thirsty sun sips dewdrops,
Night deposited upon the moist blades of
Grass that now sparkle in dawn's breaking light.

Hot, humid, and sultry, describe August's
Oppressive, sweaty, sticky, seek shade days,
Thank God, the public pools stay open late.

Summertime's for fun and relaxation,
Under the shade of your favorite tree.
Many find that the warm weather somehow
Makes them feel more connected to nature,
Especially if they flee the city,
Rather than stay in a concert hotbox.

Dog days of summer drag out the heat
And the chilled breath of fall sounds appealing.
Yet, I'll take summer's heat over winter's
Snow anytime, I’m no fan of the cold.

Until a New Dawn

Returning from the date, he hides impressions
into the nooks and crannies of his mind
like a fed dog hides bones and then can’t find.
Don’t, filthy dog, don’t do that! Nothing freshens
the memory like a new date. The grave
of his beloved wife was fresh enough
to dig it up. Oh, weird twists of love,
macabre curves of lust that make him crave
charm in decay, enjoyment in remains
of beauty, sentimental memories
of kisses smelling humus, reveries
of the ideal submissiveness in chains
of death. It’s almost day. “Goodbye, sweetheart”.
Oh, how time drags before nightfall tomorrow!
In sickness and in health, in joy and sorrow,
through death, until a new dawn do us part.
