Premium MemberPRAISE BE TO GOD WHO BLESSES US

March 14 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Joshua 16-18

Key Verse– Joshua 17:14 And the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me [but] one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I [am] a great people, forasmuch as the LORD hath blessed me hitherto?

PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO BLESSES US

Praise be to God for blessing us as we:
Love Him with devotion
Labour for Him with diligence
Live for Him with dedication
Learn from Him with discernment
Lean on Him with determination

Joshua 16:4 Praise be to the Lord for
His given inheritance that is:
Precious midst waters’ provisions
Priceless midst wilderness’ pests
Pure against wickedness’ perversions
Perfect by His Word’s protection
Profitable through His ways’ preservation

Joshua 18:3 Praise be to the Saviour Who is admonishing
us not to be slack in possessing our blessings by:
Remaining in our selfishness
Retiring in our self-sufficiency
Resting in our self-righteousness
Relying on our self-improvement
Rejuvenating in our self-confidence
Retreating in our self-pity
Rejoicing in our self-esteem. Amen!

A personal Sermon

Dear heart,
Please take a break
I know this feeling, I have had this feeling before
It soothes at first, beguiling flings
Which shines, too
Sometimes brighter than goddess Theia
I know the comforts, the placidity it yields
And the euphoria!

Dear soul,
Stop the inner monologues
I know them, I have heard them before
With their potent, clean blade of satires
They chop pathos into cruelty, dubiety into actions
Listen to how it urges me into a chance, now or never!
Volition, I can hear the whispers. Volitions!

Dear mind,
Avoid these thoughts
I remember them, they’ve run here before
Scattered into ways of no pattern
Tearing asunder the accords binding the soul and mind
Here, they boast of the utility they bequeath me
Chary, here, I must be, and slow I must tread
Forasmuch I owe the better of me to them
But hey! Avoid these ones regardless.

Dear self,
Collect these fragments and mend them back
For you’ve lost yourself, broken and scattered
Blend symphony from these discords
And for once let you speak as you, dear self!

Premium MemberJoy-Filled Service

Abiding in God’s will, let’s serve the Lord with joy

Beautified through His grace to minister along gladness-glow

Cheered up midst Scriptures’ truth, smiting hypocrisy and deceit

Delighted by the Almighty’s blessings toward stewardship-triumph

Empowered for fruitful compassionate reaching-out

Fortified to encourage upon strengthened faith

Girded, guided, geared up against human frailty’s endurance

Hoisted as held with Christ’s omnipotent and gentle grip

Invigorated, ceaselessly fervent around Holy Spirit’s revival

Jubilant, gratefully testifying: “Our labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

*1Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Lantana blossoms beautify hedge-fortress
Radiant colors relieve distress
Pink and red pink of varied hues
With yellow sun’s cues
Brightly show
God’s bliss!
Flowers blow
Oozing sweet fragrance
Celestial scent’s endurance
Refreshing Summer midst glowing heat
Along hope’s steadfast* light, pests attempt to beat.

*1Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Premium MemberServing the Lord

Though sometimes hardship-stricken, serving God is blessing-laden!
What matters most is our willingness to carry the burden.
Let’s be a help to the needy, their hearts … gladden
As we rejoice in the Lord; to His peace, bidden.

Serving the Lord asks for surrender, yet assuring His rewards’ fullness!
What matters most is our gracious faithfulness with genuine meekness.
Let’s be submissive to the Master’s will, devoid of selfishness
As we abound in His work* of life-building business.

*1Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Departed Love

This married couple became broken up,
for the dying love of one's love,
left upon this leave,
their love became distant,
while the other alone for this ungreatful grief,
were one departed out of another's grasp,
whom this love beareth thee much, as much as thou givest such embrace to,
Forasmuch as they kept their love of a marriage for the remembrance,
were their love taken upon this joy,
To the feeling of love without any given this love,
From the joy of them both,
They lovest each other,
by another love fallen,
of this lover's dying warmth,
as much as the love cast away,
the leave upon this love,
That which became distant lovers,
Of a love be surely missed,
And thine love leave upon this ungreatful grief left the joy of things,
Remembered,
whom kept most sorrows away by such to dealt thine suffering,
In this lover's heart.

Tomorrow Will Smile Again

The shimmering sun is throwing
Fire-golf on our derma,
Like it doesn't have head.
But forasmuch the cheek of the cloud
Is telling us that,
It is not unwilling to soak
The sun in his fists,
We can tell by the lips of braveness that,
Tomorrow will smile again.

Why is the invisible face of the wind
Wearing the whiff of the volcano?
Does it mean we're locked up in nether world?
If Mr. Wind is not unhappy to feel this way,
Then we better ought to find
Some bucket to put on.
Since there's no place to salt away.
But we believe with the lips of braveness,
Tomorrow will smile again.
