You walk the way the wind blows
Or so the story goes.
You rode the waves of blue,
And lived a life with no clue
You blow smoke of tar
And drive a beat up car
You live in built-up walls,
Where twilight slowly crawls.
A fortress made of stone,
To keep yourself unknown.
You traded wind and sky,
To watch the world go by.
But rain taps on the window pane,
To remind you of the pain.
And the wind still knows your name,
Before you quit the game.
You throw the portal wide,
And cast the ghost aside.
Out where the blacktop gleams,
You wake up from your dreams.
You head across the bay,
To find a better way.
You turn toward the east,
The captive soul released.
The engine starts to roar—
You walk the way no more.
I love a brand new day - you prefer the night
I love a nice red wine -you must drink the white.
I love the country life - you are city bred
I love our great big house - you enjoy your shed.
I love our fluffy cat - you walk with the dog
I love to laze around - you then run or jog.
I love a sunny day - you will pray for rain
I love to catch a bus - you get on the train.
I love black coffee strong - you sip on white tea
I love to read a book - you watch a movie.
I love our different ways - opposites attract
I know that you love me - that is just a fact.
A vibrant spark of cardinal red,
In Washington state, where the firs are spread.
I'd fly over mountains and through the deep mist,
To find my grandfather, I couldn't resist!
I'd land on his porch on a wet, rainy day,
With a bright crimson coat to chase shadows away.
He'd be cozy inside, with his coffee in hand,
And he'd stare at this bird from a very far land.
I'd tap on the glass with my shiny black beak,
Then fluff up my feathers and cheerfully speak–
With a high, whistling tune, maybe
"tweet-tweet-t-woo!"
A whimsical visit especially for you!
From streak and blur of candle faint
Her whispered breath gasps through dim hall--
That longing haunts without restraint
When a presence twirls come midnight:
Gently, gently she advances
Yet tapered wax fades...bleak the loff
And she aches for snuffled chances;
To meet him ...in world's afterlife

A tribute to a friend. Happy Valentines Day!
This Valentines Day , I think of you
All that you did with me, so very true
Authenticity is precious, like a gem
It's important as a flower's stem
With you, anyone knew where they stand
You would say it how it is and understand
No circles, no guessing, no blame to endure...
Even disagreements would help cure
A lost soul and pain of a broken heart
- It was like that from the start -
You passed away suddenly so long ago,
but you still breathe through me in a flow
It carries on and on, this is what I know
Gratitude never fades for all that we had
So, I choose happiness today instead of sad

The one you’ll always remember and the one you’ll never name,
The one you’ll tell your kids about and say “he’s the one that got away,”
Etched in deep memory and feeling a quiet pain,
You love like forever.
You love to stay.
The man in the elevator entered with me from top floor
of a ten storied building and stood front, close to door.
Each time elevator stopped, he got out and confronting collision,
next moment he rushed to enter again taking same position.
I think, each had doubt, whether his mental condition be stable !
At last I got scope to ask him , when we reached the ground level.
He explained, her girl friend is waiting in front of the elevator.
But in which floor she is waiting, he doesn't know so far.
So he is cheking in which floor she is waiting for her lover !
He will continue to go up and down till he can find her.
I wished for him conveying ' Good Luck ' and bade bye.
He again entered the elevator , suppressing his sigh !
A gift two give
A gift two receive
A gift unlike we've ever known
A gift we will keep when ever grown
A miracle this gift we do believe
Our blessed child we did conceive
"The silence fades with a soft embrace"
but strokes my soul like butterfly dreams,
whilst words unsaid lace the amethyst air
with strings of silver and citrine ~
clutching metaphors to the moon’s nectarine,
like a love rhyme written in tears never seen.
Tonight, in the hushed heat of starlight,
I trace your initials with ink and sighs,
craving to be heard amidst the white noise,
where the blackbird sings but is a feeler ~
of me, the breathless leaves of palm trees,
and crashing sparks drenched in sea salt.
O paused pulse of midnight,
meet me where time forgets tomorrow.
Listen to these voiceless verses:
I am neither the curator nor the canvas ~
yet like the gossamer gates within your heart,
I ache to be wrapped, forever, by Cupid’s violet flame…
If a lip could weave its own refrain,
It would drape itself; longing for delight,
A fleet strumming; a pair, in soothing rain,
World's lightening kept alive one stolen night
It would sing of passionate pages turned
Inside the bars, it holds moments 'til heartbreak
Vermillions borders crossed, endless war is yearned
What was fired from the eyes, leave Cupid's bow to take
In phantom touch, it tastes both love and rhyme
Petals, drawing on petals, the instruments, a blur
It is a joy, thrumming tune, at the pulse of all sprung time
In silence of the moment, it becomes a song for sure.
Closing at the commissures of superior and inferior seams,
sweetness is humbled; as I am won, with anothers dreams
Hey men walk in your masculinity
That salt and pepper beard is enchanting
So is your head bald or not
It’s what’s inside it that makes you hot
And the way you yell at the tv
Funny loud and also endearing
How you taste when sleep or awake
For my kisses on your face
Just in case you haven’t heard
You are the feather for this bird
I lift you up for all you do
For a good man lives that’s you
Loving lips soft and wet
I want to feel your tenderness
And your kiss is my red wine
Give me a sip if only in mind
You must exist for I am here
And I keep dreaming of you dear
Fantasy of brown masculinity
Invading my dreams like a Viking
" Pleasure of love persists for short time, while pain of love lasts life long. "
- Poet
He promised to be back by tomorrow :
Days after days, years after years are to follow
Till waiting, heart beats swinging to and fro.
Out of soft dreams we leap.
With a strange cadence.
As if to a beat.
Lock step metropolis crawl.
Hot on the blood trail.
To the feeding at dawn.
Keys to turn.
Numbers to dial.
With casual serpentine smiles.
Nothing to see here.
No new traditions to make.
While last night's abandoned dreams await.
Lock me in a room for days
Suffocating in purple haze
Tried so hard to change my ways
Catch me from this second chance floor
I used the window, but you slammed the door
No, holding me close like you did before
No use hiding anymore
I've been holding it so long
I forgot how to breathe
I've been waiting so long
I forgot how to leave
Drag my troubles away
Until I forget how to grieve
Lost in a maze, you can't help but inveigh
Draw your money, I tallied the day
Count your blessings, and I'll count your flaws
That pinned me down between your claws
Now pick my bones out from your jaws
And fold our paper life away
Tell me now; it's not okay
I dragged my troubles away
'Cause I forgot how to grieve
