Would you marry me if you could
Should the stars align?
I'd take your hand if you said yes
And keep it safe in mine
We'd work as one in all we did
My love for you would shine
And as the days turned into years
I'll still be on cloud nine

Much like this poem,
women have been made
smaller over time:
speak less, don’t ask that,
cover up, unless
you’re with a man,
selling something
or on a screen.
As a mother
though don’t cry,
say that this
is hard work.
Girls' words?
Please just
stop.

SHE GIVES US GROWTH
SHE HELPS IN GROWTH
SHE ENCOURAGE HER CHILDREN
SHE NEVER AS A GOOD SLEEP
SHE TAKES PAIN
TO MAKE US GAIN
SHE DON'T KNOW WHEN SHE LIVE
WHEN SHE DIE
BUT SHE KNOW ONLY YOU FOREVER
EVEN MY MOM IS A TEACHER
SHE DOES NOT TEACH ME ANYTHING
BECAUSE SHE TEACH ME EVERYTHING
BY HER HARD HARD WORK
I LOVE YOU MOM

Oh, my dear, 'tis plain to see
That you lack Humility
Why must you whine o'er rugged rhymes,
That ill-affect your poetry?
Helping hands are hither slapped,
At a mere suggestion
In thine self, bruised ego wrapped
When thy work is questioned!
Begrudge, me not, the better Poet:
I was right, and both we know it!

She is my hero
Without her I wouldn't be here
If it wasn't for her I don't know I would be
She made me who I am
She is always there no matter what kind of trouble I'm in
She will do anything for her kids
She helps me with my work
She teaches me right from wrong
She will die for her kids
She love me for me
She is my mom and I LOVE her

Lost soul - wondering in beauty
Shedding baggage from your grips
In tow time to work
You outshine all that have been
Catch my falling soul
In no rush to have misery
If I held you tight
You wouldn’t break -

Let me bring your coffee, dear
I'll make it strong, I'll bring it here
Is there anything else that I can do?
I love to do things just for you
You work so hard, now sit right down
I've got your slippers, I'll put them on
I'll rub your shoulders, I'll comb your hair
But I must tell you to beware
If this attention does persist
I don't know how long I can resist

She asked me "Who's the most beautiful girl you've seen ever?";
She retracted the question quickly, as she saw me nervously shiver;
I'd been with her, since forever as a friend;
Through all her toxic relationships, work and errands;
She'd always look for girls for me to win over;
Now how am I supposed to tell her "It had always been HER"

I only want to play with you
I only want to write with you
I only want to read what you do
I only want to listen to what you do
I only want to do crosswords with you
I only want to drink the tea that you do
I only want to work on things with you
I only want to do everything with you
It's a dream I know may never come true
But what's not a dream is my love for you

I cry a little
each daybreak,
but it's never
out of sorrow.
It's because
I see you,
unmasked,
and I'm always
grateful
to the morning sun.
It illuminates
and kisses
your face
with its bright rays.
Your naked face,
a work of art;
the first thing
I see
as I'm rising
at dawn.
A beautiful face,
always smiling
back at me.

It’s in
The way you hold the needle
Between your lips
As you spread material
Across your lap.
It’s in
The way you wet the thread,
Lips formed as if to whistle.
It’s in
The way you close one eye
To thread the needle.
Always getting it right
Always making it work
Because
You bring things together.
It’s like that with you.
The love you have to share
Is everywhere

Away! Away! just for today
I'll help get you through, I'll put on display
Words and rhymes of poetry
Songs to get you to sing for me
Guitar pieces of the most beautiful kind
To try to distract you and ease up your mind
You work hard little bluebird and I really do care
I'll be with you always even though I'm not there
Standing ready to give you whatever you need
I'm here and I'm waiting, "you know," indeed!

Crashing tumult in the sea
waves thrash violently,
some days though, not like this
no, but quiet calm, like soft caress.
Just like life it seems to be
like a sea, like you and me,
sometimes jumbled, loud, and fearful
then like a lullaby -- resting, blissful.
Despair not, though come sea tempest winds,
weather it strong, don't give in,
wait, pray and work it through-
for if you do, as it depends on thee
you did your best, sleep peacefully.

Get close to me, I need your help
This answer's difficult
Cuddle up and snuggle down
Can you get the result?
Your head upon my shoulder?
I cannot concentrate
Your legs and mine are intertwined?
This morning's running late
So be it, I will stay right here
And focus just on you
I have some really nice ideas
About what we can do
But first let's get this puzzle done
There's only one more clue
Then we can work on something else
Something just for two

Are you thinking about your child whether
alone can take steps to measure?
Can she attend social interaction
to take a view in total?
Are you upset for kids to go
away from home, though you didn't show?
Do you feel a sense of loss of purpose,
or stress feelings that your mind crosses?
These symptoms pertain to ‘empty
nest syndrome’ makes parents testy.
Keeping one's mind engaged with work the whole day
brings back peace in the soul.

LUV YOU
My ex-daughter-in-law is a "Luv you" gal, every letter and every card ends with, "Luv you", every phone call, every good-bye "Luv you", seeing the bairn off to school, "Luv you", but; she made me laugh one day, when as coming out of the house to go to work, she there pushing the dog back into the house, then she opens the letterbox and says, "Luv you" . . .
She's away to work
pushes the dog back inside
Letterbox, "Luv you"
"Wouldn't have her any other way" . . . : )

You always say I'm talented
And for that I say thank you
But understand the reason
Why I do what it is I do
It's because I want to impress you
I suppose that's immature
But I love hearing you say you like it
And so I give you more and more
No song too difficult to learn
I don't seek for renown
I'll work on things all day and night
From sunup to sundown
I want to make you happy
I want your heart to sing
And in order to accomplish that
I'll do anything

It Was Just An Another Summer Day For You And I,
But For Them It Was A Day They'll Never Forget.
It Was Just A Party For Her Friends,
But For Her It Was Night What Dreams Are Made Of.
It Was Just Another Boring School Day For His Classmates,
But For Him He Nearly Lost The One He Loved.
It Was Just Typical Work Day For People In The City,
But For Him It Was Just Another Day Watching Her Lifeless Body.
It Was Just An Another Wet November Day,
But For Both Them They Got Their Lives Back.

I’m having happiness come forth
With who
She’s beautiful to me
Her silliness causes my laughter
Long black hair flowing behind her-
smacking her oh ya
Lips of red
I’m craving for -
Her
Tonight I want her
It’s Friday night and I’m sitting here
Craving her
She’s not off work yet
It’s driving me crazy cause I’m craving her
Wanting to feel her tight up against me
Have her over power me
Oh it’s Friday night and I’m craving her
Oh ya
It’s Friday night and I want her up close to me tonight

No one is like you Goddess
So beautiful and most kind
So ready to be of service
Always willing to ease my mind
I am ever ready to worship
At your feet as you deserve
But I do not actually know you
So I am forced only to observe
Observe your beauty, appreciate your grace
Succumb to the bewitching expressions on your angelic face
I desire you Goddess in my life everyday
When you are gone from public view
I wish I could fade away with you
This may still be a work in progress, I'm just not sure. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hip- hip horay
I got my driving license today
after so long, and at very last
I can lay-to-rest, the "him" in my past
now the real work starts
at 61, I have to learn
to be the queen of hearts
It begins with changing my glasses
always helps if you can see
now I have to work hard
to be all I can be
to fully become the woman
that always resided in me.
Hormones are working overtime
new thoughts arrive
like exploding fireworks.
official recognition that my transition is permanent.

I do not love dreams, I love reality.
I do not believe tomorrow, today I believe.
My life has been, just the relationship with the crop,
I have not meet anyone who just come close to me?
I'm not the world's one, it's just a person's tention.
I do not have to say anymore, just trust myself to do it.
Every time it goes away leaving many questions.
Every time new comes new questions by adding new ones.
I do not believe in those who come to work after words?
I do not have to courage to be afraid of those who fear me?

Every time I talk to you
I seem to be happier
Every time I think of you
I can't seem to let you leave my mind
It's that's way all the time
When I get off work it's that's way
Throughout my days it's this way
I don't wanna lose you
Nor fight this.
because if I do I'll be lifeless
I been through the fire all my life and still and I'm still surviving
Spikes and needles at my heart
I started from a rough start
now I have someone whose talent is repairing hearts
I need you to repair my heart
I'm tired of being in the dark.

She’s just footloose and fancy free
Doesn’t have a husband like me
She’s lazy and fat
Just like her old cat
I’m pleased she can’t sit on my knee!
I’ve not seen her in over a year
Its her loss - no I won’t shed a tear
Thirty years with no work
A real job she would shirk
She’s made ill-health* her full time career!
Inspired by Fancy Free but not for contest
*For those of you who REALLY know me they will understand the meaning of this poem and its not about someone who is really ill just a fraud.
