Us

Crashing tumult in the sea
waves thrash violently,
some days though, not like this
no, but quiet calm, like soft caress.

Just like life it seems to be
like a sea, like you and me,
sometimes jumbled, loud, and fearful
then like a lullaby -- resting, blissful.

Despair not, though come sea tempest winds,
weather it strong, don't give in,
wait, pray and work it through-
for if you do, as it depends on thee
you did your best, sleep peacefully.
