And treasures embraces,
Learns love and excitement,
And moment's enlightenment.
She finds her direction,

It becomes her protection,
And enables her action.
A choice to be giving,
And loving and care,
She made a choice to be happy,
One that remains when she's not there.

I used to look out the window when I was a kid.
Dreaming of things I’d love to be.
Dreaming of places I’d love to see.
Life brings with it a chain and ball.
Life delivers promises and some must fail.
But, I promised that little boy behind my eyes. That I would do one thing with no regret and no lies.
I’d love a woman and give her everything this soul could give. A lonely, lost little boy and I would be to her a mighty king.
Life plays games with our minds and souls but this promise I made to that kid, well it still holds.

then there is the main attraction, which is you
i remember sleeping under the noise
i remember waking up with mosquito bites and ticks on my genitals
i remember snot and tears turning to ice on my face
i remember laying my head against your heart, the warmest of any place
confusion left me at a standstill while still moving
confusion righted me with two left feet while still grooving
confusion created mirages in the dry desert of life
confusion lead me to you, the foundation that helped overcome all struggle and strife
