Bedlam When Storm Finds You Out

We heard the alert!
Big storm coming!
Batter down the hatches. 
Tie down the loose stuff.
Board up the windows, sandbag the doors.
Remove any debris that may fly around.
We did it all, in plenty of time.

But, we looked around dismayed.
The neighbors did nothing.
Many were away, out of reach, not contactable.
We saw that their properties were a vulnerable bedlam

If it rains too much, they flee as if my truth would drown their worth,
I remain dry and they complain, why am I cold, why am I silent,

In a corner of the world where silence finds its voice,
where every blade of grass carries an ancient story,
I wander among the shadows of time, seeking answers
in the echoes of lost footsteps, in the whispers of the gentle wind,
for beauty hides in the smallest fragments,
and wonders rise in silent flights, among ordinary moments.

Victory alone is a silent inner joy
But, in a twining moment
We align as one
To conquere a step

We wonder why the years lay down in silence,
Why we remain closed, like birds refusing flight,
Seeking hidden meaning in the language of flowers toward the sun.
We close ourselves, like old, forgotten books,
Misunderstood by time, which watches with cold eyes,
We, who love words, are lost,
Searching for ourselves in

What Media Wants, Media Finds

Mediacraft attacks could conclude
if words split wrong from right.
Grace and mercy would grant latitude
but truth would upend the fight.
Worthy upshot holds much in store
yet, integrity is worth much more

would find mediacrats ending word wars
for lying is moral turpitude, depravity, sin.

black ant scout finds my sugar

Today a black ant ran out of my C and H sugar bag
She was old, determined, mission-minded, a real hag
Trailing my sugar back to her well-attended ant nest
Ultimate scout, showing the way to my bag to the rest.

Rust-hued kitty’s shunned by day, ignored through the night
Unloved and discarded in a world numb to his plight
As he meows by a door
Rusty meets family Tor
Who give him a home, protection and love glowing bright
