On the fatherhood

It's difficult to define a father precisely
So, let's imagine how a father would be
A father may be figuratively similar to these:
A starting point, a fulcrum, a roof, a piece of land
A mountain, a sky, a star, a beam of sunshine
A lamp, a mirror, a book, a guide,a set of minds,
...
I reckon a father can be similar to each of them
if he is viewed from different perspectives
However, fatherhood will not be fairly defined
If all the pieces above aren't yet combined ?

A father is the reason a child grows up so strong
A father gives us the confidence, and the idea to go on
A father set the example for his children way of life
A father is the head of the house and takes care of his wife
A father is the bravest who sacrifices for his family
A father has to go out into the world and be all he can be
A father is a motivator with every word that he speaks
A father can be so hard, but he can also be so sweet
A father love for his family is very unmatched
A father will go out of his way to keep his family attached
A father is a beautiful figure in any household
A father will whip his kid behind if they don't do as they're told
So take note and let your father be an example in your life
Because without a father, all we can do is sit back and cry

looked up to you

i once looked up to you
a child only seees things through
inocent eyes
i looked up to you even afer what you did to the woman i was a reflection of
i looked up to you even after the bars closed where youd rest your head
i looked up to you when for some reason i had to walk past you pretending i didnt know you
I looked up to you even when youd pass me that joint
i looked up to you even when i would through up from the bottle you passed me and told me to have fun
but i stopped looking up to you when the white line you so graciously passed me filled my nose
and the pipe would pass from you to your friend who caressed my breast and you didnt flinch
i stopped looking up to you when your knees whould hit the ground so you could find that invisible rock that Definitely did not hit the ground
i stopped looking up to you when my life was no longer existing to you and i had to care for my sister.
you turned on me when i fought so hard to never turn on you.
i stopped looking up to you when you became a grandpa and we were sent out in the cold because the rock on the ground gave you more love then you wanted

Fathers day

Fathers day is special in every way
I was blessed with the best father
And also my heaveny father too
I even got baptised on fathers day
30 years ago so wonderful
My dad taught me many things
But seeing his faith was amazing
We saw God at work
In our dads life
Getting him throgh all lifes strife
It made our faith stronger
God is amazing
Jesus gave his all for us
My dad always said
You can do anything
If you believe
So i know i open my heart
And all Gods blessings i recieve
God has stuck by me through thick and thin
I am a child of God
And so glad i belong to him Amen

To my dad have a good heavenly fathers day
You never gave up on anything
And believed with all your heart.
You held on right untill you knew
I had given birth and departed within 23 hours
Miss you always fogotten never
I still tell all your jokes
Rest in peace
And will see you again one day. Amen

Happy Father's Day

For whom, we all have seen the earth's light,
He is Father;who has made our life so bright.
For him only we can spend our life comfortably
And he is the one,who carries all burden silently.
The person is father,who indulges our all caprices;
And tries to keep wholeheartedly his promises.
After seeing father, a little child prances like a colt
Father is the one who corrects our fault.
Bearing with all troubles, he protects his family,
Only he knows very well the agony.
Father is the person who never wants to see our dismay,
So let us celebrate together the "Father's Day"

A clutter of wood and dust in cobweb corners,
and dappled sun shining through dirty windows;
on his work table a drawing; a project in progress,
and tin cans and jars of nails and screws on shelves.

Tools on hooks waiting for hands that will never come,
I touch the old tools like they were the finest of lace;
and I cannot help thinking, who will want all this,
he was a simple man, my father, and I loved him so.

His death was fast, no one expected him to leave,
in a blink he was gone, and all I have are memories;
I linger there with the dust that floats in the sun,
and I weep and weep for what I have lost this day.

Then, I pick up his pencil and on his paper I write,
I write this poem of pain and it is the beginning;
the beginning of my writing with a true poet's soul,
I leave the child within me, and become a poet,

today.

The hole

The hole
The hole I feel every year
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day
Celebration for your off spring
The hole that no one can take
Each year the hole grows
I want to call you up on the phone
Tell you about all the things
You believe I would never do
After all I was created by you!
Each yeah the hole grows
As I watch marriages grow
Knowing you will never give me away,
Oh wait, you did already, for your personal gain
Alcohol, laughs and even jokes
While your daughter had to encounter the strokes.
Not the way I dream of to be given to a man at just 9 years old.
Each year the hole grows
Wanting to be seen and heard
And be told I’m so proud of you
Only to be nothing more than the dirt on your shoes
Instead your voices play over within my head
“You will amount to nothing”
“You tell and I find out, I’ll make it so you can’t speak”
The hole that grows
And the pain that seeps
With every mother and father love story
I just want to rip off my ears
The hole grows
Each day, sucking the life away
While I wonder on earth as a stray
Unwanted and disregarded
Forever parted
The hole grows

I Loved You

Falling in love is wonderful.
Staying in love impossible.
Romance we followed a dance
we end up forever in a trance.
Happy Father's day, dear dad.
You left. We're bitter not mad.

Father's Day 2023

A child named future sired by the present from a lineage past
Fresh ink born out of a pen inspired by the stone cast
A yarn wading through the pulling strings to learn the ropes
Through the words that make the promises that build hopes
Is the same way fathers father fatherhood and fatherlings
That make generations of prophets, priests and kings
And the honourable ones of skill, will and zeal that fit the bill
Having dominion over the sandy coasts and lush hills
As is God's mandate to all and those to come
That we may be found upright by the Almighty's plumb

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

For My Father

At six months old dada were the first words
to ever leave my mouth
His name in Hebrew is "son of my right hand"
He is the Boaz to my mother
and the Abraham to my sister and I

He sacrificed his need for higher education
and passed on the torch to me instead
He is both a phenomenal writer
and nature enthusiast just as I am

He missed an opportunity for my mother
to bear him a son from the seed of her womb
but I am positive that if I would bare a male child
He will form an indestructible bond
and cherish him as the son he never had

My father could've been deceased or disowned me
like those of many of my friends and acquaintances
but today he is alive with his soul
filled with health and joy
and always remain faithful to his family
like the lion of his jungle

Although his own father is resting at the gates of heaven
he will always have us
and his spiritual Father on the throne
watching over him day in and day out

The son of my father, indeed I am
To fondly unforget, one never can
And please don't think he was just an old man
That sadly lived and died without a plan

Most often at the breaking of each day
He sought to know what God would say
I wake to find him on his knees to pray
That I might be like him and faithful stay

The words he spoke are truth I can recall
As vividly as untimely leaves fall
When all I see are trees left standing tall
That I could read the writings on the wall

He worked so hard each day his hands would ache
And yet kept on for his family's sake
But for his child, he'd always take a break
To spend some time for happy memries make

And now he's gone, I am feeling sad
I wish to see and talk with him so bad
The cares of life is driving me mad
Yet still I thank my God I had a dad

In days gone by, I wish they never end
In my distress, his wisdom he would lend
He cared enough to help my faults to mend
And always there from all my foes defend

My God is good to give such perfect blend
I'm blessed to have a father for a friend.

A Father's Day Portrait

In your earliest days, I had seen you
Look across the room from a rocking chair.
Over the carpet, you would crawl to where
Very small toys were gathered in your view.
Every year, you always steadily grew;
You learned to play nicely and how to share.
Over time, you made new friends in daycare,
Understanding what to and not to do.
Many party invitations were sent
On the first day of every December;
Neatly wrapping presents on your birthday.
Keeping a close eye on where the time went
Each moment that I fondly remember
Your smiling face on graduation day.

You Are Never To Far

I know something we cannot change..
spring summer fall and winter..
we all live to one day die... but one thing is for sure
my love for you will never die...
I just want you to know that I love you
and even though some times I did not show it
and sometimes I made you mad
and sometimes you mad me sad
As I a child you was my hero
As a teenager you showed me how to balance my feeling
As adult you showed me how rise a family
cooking and the early morning fishing trips, and I thank you for that..
even though you are not here with me now
I know you watch me from above...
I will take every memory that we all shared.. and Carry it like
a tattoo .. and I often
smile and look into the sky.. because I know you
are their. I Love you Daddy and we miss you. Gone
but Never for gotten...
happy Father's day...
your youngest child...
