Premium MemberMemory - Tree

Once, upon a wooden bench beside a quiet pond, me and dad sat talking beneath a weeping willow tree; his hand found mine- Oh, we had such a strong bond, we watched ducks floating, drifting- graceful and free.

Premium MemberMy Daughter

she crossed my threshold and went to his house,
my only daughter, wed and his dear spouse,
a girl once, a beautiful woman now,
history is witness to fresh new love,
said “he is my husband, I love him so”,
but daddy, I will never let you go!”

Premium MemberA Lost Ring

Beautiful daughter of my village President,
Was presented by her father gift very precious;
(Twenty grams of gold with diamond-stones content),
Gorgeous-looking with fine red-sapphire-strip, gracious...!

Merry, the girl went, exposing it to all,
Father felt proud, though mother grew a bit skeptic;
It's then, on her face, soon a cloud of gloom did fall,
Hearing the story father grew like dyspeptic...!

Pond, she said; while bathing; whole water they pumped out;
To the utter surprise of all, no ring they got;
Mother, guessing daughter's ways, got many a doubt,
Shut her mouth, as she did not know the exact plot...!

On finger of neighbor-boy, the ring someone found,
Before the whole town knew, both eloped, safe-and-sound...!!!

Premium MemberFather of the Bride

Unsteadily he walks down the linen aisle On his right arm the pride and joy of his life, Proud he is, you can see it in his broad smile A young man at the altar will make her his wife. Sounds of the Wedding March reverberate Around the walls of the old, ornate cathedral, And the priest stands tall, ready to officiate The papers have been signed, and it’s all legal. He glances out the corner of his eye and sees The mother-of-the-bride seated near the front, She’s the most beautiful lady present, if you please, Since the day they stood at the baptismal font.

Premium MemberStep Daughter, My Daughter

If I had a daughter of my very own,
She'd be like you when she was grown.
I'm very proud to have you in my life,
And I am so happy to be your father's wife.
He shares with me his special treasure,
His beautiful daughter, he shares with pleasure.
She has a flair and sparkling eyes,
One look at her will hypnotize.
A pout now and then to show some emotion,
And a will that's strong as a magic potion.
So much love always pouring out,
Showing others just what she's about!

Premium MemberTo My Daughter, Sophia

"Is it a girl? I think it's a girl!!...Doc?"
Flowers form'd blooms from sunny Easter skies
Let's call her Sophia Pascal Peacock
Our first baby born with baby blue eyes

You were two, I'd brag..."See what I'm seeing?"
Sighing, your mother would cringe and quiver
"Look! We've made the perfect human being,
She got all the best things we could give her!"

Wisdom, passion, love flows from your spirit
So alive with drive, caring and kind too
Accepting defeat? No, you won't hear it
So...you know...we can't be more proud of you

Birth day, we pray'd, thank'd God that He brought her
Now sweet sixteen, my beautiful daughter

Premium MemberDaddy Was a Poet

Daddy Was a Poet! He's been gone, decades now. Beneath God's greenery he sleeps. His daughter, I, thick-headed, Now stands and vainly weeps. I saw his heart open like a lovely rose. Bountiful amounts of times. I saw his heart weep torrents of rain. Daddy so felt other peoples' pain! I thank him now for this inheritance, I just never understood till today!! What a great joy it shall be for me To meet my Daddy in heaven and To thank him....and walk celestial ways. Panagiota Romios 5/1/2019 9:00am PST

Premium MemberA Rainy Day In February

Wishing for Spring when Mother Nature Sings
warm summer nights when stars twinkle in delight
But it's windy and cold with a threat of snow
another rainy day in February

Just want to hide under covers inside
but I know outside I must go
Hot coffee in my belly but I'm still chilly
another cold rainy day in February

My arthritis aches my body shakes
gotta go easy the roads are slick and queasy
A promise to keep from a love I seek
another cold rainy day in February

I see her smile and it's all worthwhile
my little baby child with my own smile
She brings out the sun the day is fun
another beautiful rainy day in February

Premium MemberThe Fathers Daughter

Just simply marvelous;
woman your beautiful;
you're one of God's daughters;
Wonderful
You are
Oh, and your phenomenon;
Birth from heaven's stars;
You are;
And when the wind shifts your hair;
Flows like a leaf in the sea;
You are more than you think to be;
Your The Father's Daughter;

Mostly humble, never would you struggle;
Woman your righteousness;
you're one of God's daughters;
Magnificent;
You are
Oh, and your beauty, inner self;
Surpasses everyone else;
Glorious and blossom radiance as a moonbeam;
You are more than you think you are;
Your the Father's Daughter
You are more than you think you are;
You are the Father's Daughter
