Daddy Was a Poet

Daddy Was a Poet! He's been gone, decades now. Beneath God's greenery he sleeps. His daughter, I, thick-headed, Now stands and vainly weeps. I saw his heart open like a lovely rose. Bountiful amounts of times. I saw his heart weep torrents of rain. Daddy so felt other peoples' pain! I thank him now for this inheritance, I just never understood till today!! What a great joy it shall be for me To meet my Daddy in heaven and To thank him....and walk celestial ways. Panagiota Romios 5/1/2019 9:00am PST

I know your Daddy is loving these wonderful poems. Is there perchance one of his you could sneak into one of your own and give him credit?

My dad owned his own business and worked 14 hours a day, he never penned a thing, but he mde up rhymes and songs for me. I just never understood it all till yesterday. I should pen a poem about him..Panagiota

Hi Panagiota, a sad but awesome write - your daddy is very proud of you and is smiling down on you everyday, no matter, snow, rain or shine! My Grandfather wrote poems, and in fact I posted a poem that my grandfather sent me years ago - 'My dearest Jennifer', if you have time, maybe look it up. Hugs, Jennifer
