The charm of a home smelling like mint
upon ticks of laughter, seasoned with
a dash of kisses plastered on walls :
And how the readiness of bodies huddle
in the kitchen feasting on leftovers.
Yes, it's all too regular, this kind of setting---
the language of rooms cluttered, wild
as child play: and when breezes call Sunday
to end, their world gives and takes warmth,
enchanting slumber in a fireplace of affection!
King of the jungle
relaxes in the sun.
As the sunlight shines
On his thick wild mane.
His cub is nearby,
The lioness stands guard.

Angry and confused, I climbed the stairs.
My family was dear to me
I could not help shedding tears.
Could the lighthouse provide me with a key?
Outside the tempest roared, stormy seas so deep.
Yet the lighthouse was a solace to me.
My daughter in her room asleep.
Why did my wife call her a black sheep?
A solution my wife had to find.
One can't keep her daughter confined.
They need to bond and be aligned.
Problems with family affairs.
One of course could only plea.
All she had to do was open the door and peep
Resolve to speak quietly and kind.
The storm abated, so I returned to my family
With a hope that mother and child will find sanity.
A simple fare of time spent here:
To show we care for special spheres.
An outing speaks in joy that shows:
A cheery peak in words that flow.
A few hours then says so much more:
To kin and clan as moments pour.
A touch we trace to share a smile:
Greet face to face with thoughts worthwhile.
A meal we share and laugh and joke:
Can transcend cares that ever poke.
A fine affair needs constant feel:
To breathe good air with fond goodwill.

Singapore
the wind blows in, and as i lie in bed, i smell the breeze,
and sense the solemn music that whispers below;
i peek from the stairway to watch my parents, as Montivani
invites them to dance ceremoniously in the living room;
they whisper and giggle to one another about the happiness in their lives;
as i sink into tranquility,i sense the music playing as it resonates louder
and louder in my mind;
the curtains whisk as the house gets colder and the loudness penetrates
my eardrums....as i suddenly awaken, i hear mom and dad continuing their strife. . .
their arguments will linger on forever;
my hopes and dreams will probably not...
I am the darker brother
If you are confused
Wait until you see our father
My mother swells well
Too. She is the fairer sex
There are miles to walk
Between her tears and God.
