The Note in Your Shoes

The wedding venue burnt without flame
the moment we stepped in.
You and I, hand in hand, step by step—
we laughed till our facials started aching,
we danced until the floor grew tired.

That was the story of our first day in love.
Twenty five years after marriage~
we now hardly speak,
our children hardly know us.

We rise too early, return too late,
stealing only minutes for
good morning
and how was your night,
before the routine begins again.

Nannies cradle our children in their arms—
they bathe them, clothe them,
and sing them lullabies meant to be sung by us.

Last night I saw your first gray strand,
glinting as you hurried into your car.
I smiled—you’ve joined
my five-year-old company of grays.

Darling,
how many more years
will we remain strangers tied by rings?
When will our children truly be ours?

Forgive me for leaving this note in your shoes,
but I wanted you to find it
before leaving for work this morning.

Premium MemberThe Deeds That We Do, But Never Discuss

What good is love, when guys and girls are whores?
What use are we, when all is the libido?
Good girls on their backs, bad girls on all fours,
secretly swoon for guys like the Mandingo!

Like “Deep Throat,” all women like giving oral;
and men just ask them if they spit or swallow?
Some men prefer to give a woman a**l;
and whether he's the Greek god of Apollo,

she'll act as though she loves it (bondage; gangbangs;
     facials; threesomes; hotwifing with hung, black bulls;
and cuckolding—if guys could mount like Mustangs!).
Despite all of their lusting for pussyfuls,

men just want a loving lady of the Nile,
     a beauty, an angel that is his maiden;
but a sweet talker, a prince charming with style,
women die for (a philandering Satan!).

O, the deeds that we do, but never discuss:
for The Age of P**n, we bend the knee as slaves!
Honor in public, without moral compass,
are deadly secrets taken to the graves.

As strangleweeds ghost life manifestly,
caused by an Atropa belladonna
exposé mind-bending, marijuana
bears parallel outcomes, yet, it's deathly,
Greek myth Atropos cuts the thread of life
belladonna, a woman of beauty ...
Italian. If eaten, highly deadly,
or plant scrapes open cut, certain wildlife
are unaffected by its consumption ...,
pupil highlighters, cosmetic usage
and medicinal, named Deadly Nightshade
an earmark for historical function,
for it enhances the beauty facials,
and in parts of the world for medicals.

Premium MemberHappiness

Happiness is when I am listening to the music,
feeling the rhythm, the melody, owning each beat.

Happiness is when I am dancing, expressing my
feelings in each beat lifting my spirit, freeing my soul.

Happiness is when I am taking delight in my movements
in expressing different emotions, ideas, exuberance.

Happiness is when I am in a trance when dance gets
me feeling everything or nothing at all, at the same time.

Happiness is connecting to others while I am dancing.
Yes, they tell me the joy they feel when they watch me.

Happiness is being in solitude, reflecting what I am
thankful for and things I can do for others to stay positive.

Happiness is indulging in natural spring bath, mud bath,
body massage, facials for relaxation and health benefits.

Happiness is taking time with my children, grandchildren,
brothers, sisters, friends to celebrate or just to be together.

Happiness is doing sweet little nothings, like reaching to
my loved ones saying hello or to strangers with a smile.

Happiness is when I say something stupid or funny making
the listeners laugh and laugh making us laugh non-stop.

The Scent of Vanilla

Cooking with garlic and oil
Chopping peppers and chives
Crinkling aluminum foil
Running water over dirtied knives

Cutting boards strawberry stained
Slicing apples and poaching pears
Steamy facials from pasta drained
Sizzling pops like lightning flares

Piping a French buttercream rosette
Cracking eggs with no loose shell
Waiting for lime jello to set
But nothing beats the most delicious smell

The scent of vanilla

A Crazy Life

trying to keep up the pace
In a never ending race
Of life is wearing me
Further down upon my knee
On the go and never stopping
Day and night I'm always hopping
Struggling to get things done
Is becoming much less fun
I need to find time for relaxing
Before life starts smacking
Me so far down and can't stand
I need one day that's really grand
No worries or problems to
Try and fix-- I'm finally through
Facials, pedicures and waxing
Hours of non stop relaxing
Will help me to gain
The power from going insane

Railway Journeys

I had no ways,
But rail way,
A safe way always,
To reach out in hope.
On the way no peep,peep,
Long tracks like racks,
Ironed,strong never unite,
Steamed power,
Journey hours and hour,
Stations to station to stop,
A round ring tablet to drop,
Stations to station name boards,
Where I learned like school black boards,
Stations to station in search,
Up to where last to reach,
Windows a hell,
Sending bits of black coal,
Hat a must,
A coat to adjust,
Facials came to wash-
The coal wash,
To get in as a man,
To get out as a devil,
The then coal aroma,
Still resides in my nose home!

One In the Same

can you say you know who i really am

i wear my colors oh so bright even in the middle of the night

i don't dance a certain way or dress real fabulous

i'm not into manicures or facials or even pedicures

i don't walk with a switch or bend my wrist like this...

i don't talk with certain slang or hang out in a "gang"

i don't speak very loud or announce that i'm proud

i never asked to be this way nor am i blaming anyone

i won't hide in the closet since i already came out

i refuse to not speak up when i'm in a crowd

i can have a child or raise a family

i work as hard as you do and pay taxes too

i am smart and very wise with two eyes that see it all

i breathe and bleed the same as you and i pray to God too

you say i'm wierd and call me a freak

one thing you must remember is i'm real and thats unique

i tell you how it is you deny it ever was

they call me a dkye or lesbian some say i'm just gay

i tell you i am human just like you i just live another way

Devolving . . . ?

I remember the days not so very long ago
When a man was a man above his own ego
When trouble arose he would come a running
Like a knight in armour he'd drop his hunting

The damsel he would rescue, the fiends he would clobber
Make no subconscious mistake he was like no other
Toiling day and night for his family nourished to keep
Seeing the smiles in their eyes was his sole reprieve

Yet the new metrosexual knows no bounds
He simply wants his feelings to be sound
His facials must be updated, his hues must match
And watch out if on his car he finds even a scratch!

I must be honest and this is solely my view
For this new breed of man is devolving 'tis true!
