Try to look around and see if there's something new.
Revisit the old-time scenery that you're used to.
Ease the qualms and queries in your mind.
Enervate yourself with more hope and smile in your heart
Sunshine that you see first in the morning
will remind you that everything will be fine!

Letter To a Girl Friend

My beloved girl friend, I only have
              poetry...
             I don't even know if it's a fool's delight
              or scholars....
I don't know whether to enrapture or enervate
if it has merit or if it is
              credit worthy...
              Other than that nothing else...
               only my misdeeds
               manners, mannerisms...
I know if it causes you any
                It is made....
               Voulez-vous coucher avec moi...!?
I don't know if I can, but if you want,
I give my time, I can do
                right just to please you...
I do everything for you... it's just
                  ask... all I can give,
                  even having nothing else
                   to offer...!

Redolence

Redolence
by Michael R. Burch

Now darkness ponds upon the violet hills;
cicadas sing; the tall elms gently sway;
and night bends near, a deepening shade of gray;
the bass concerto of a bullfrog fills
what silence there once was; globed searchlights play.

Green hanging ferns adorn dark window sills,
all drooping fronds, awaiting morning’s flares;
mosquitoes whine; the lissome moth again
flits like a veiled oud-dancer, and endures
the fumblings of night’s enervate gray rain.

And now the pact of night is made complete;
the air is fresh and cool, washed of the grime
of the city’s ashen breath; and, for a time,
the fragrance of her clings, obscure and sweet.

BEAUTIFUL FALL

Brisk the breeze that shivers the pines,
Excites the mind, in throes of daydreams,
About escaping from the tests — that litter of
Untimely pop quizzes of consequence.
Thrust the football — enervate the bleachers!
Irradiate the touchdown of the student body cheeks.
Freeze the lament of leaves in joyous hue!
Unfasten the laces of maple and oak hairdos.
Loosen the season’s best gourds and wild relief.

Fall into the raked leaves of Autumnal bliss, the
Allspice of uniforms and costumes, the vainglorious
Lift — running down the padded field and making passes.
Learned in school - the beautiful charm of Fall.

Confession of a Lover

Your love was comparable to summer,
As if I was sitting around a hearth,
Ere this curse,
You plundered my heart with your pretty deceitful smile,
You could hear its cadence,
But it seems to enervate day by day,
You trespassed this fortified heart without any sign of warning,
You divulged the gate to this heart,
My line laid secured defending this fortress,
But you wiped it out,
I pity myself for my ignorance,
So I locked myself in this lonely dungeon,
Because I was not able to foretell,
I received a poretend,
But you bought my notion with your cerulean eyes,
Let the serpent be the guard to my heart,
I will fortify this heart once more,
I offered you my allegiance,
But you swept it off like nothing,
I coveted your love,
Now I am indeed vanquished,
I whimper like a weak animal,
I have more causes than most to hate you,
You defiled my pure love,
Love that once ran like river through stone,
You desolated my heart,
Let it bleed to dry,
You tortured me with this sleepless malice,
And now I need a foothold to survive.

Said the People of Paris

"SAID" the people of Paris,
"Let's pray for those who died,
Lets pray our arms never enervate from good,
Lets pray against evil incites,
Let's pray GOD grants us the serenity we need,
to forge our lives in His will and not of hate.
Let pray every child be born free
with understanding to respect
and admire each other
like within our shores.

Reminiscences

it was such a dark and lonely night
that no star in the sky nor the moon in the sight,
when he approached me and whispered in my ear
with the sound of slow and heavy beats of a heart

it was such strange and silent moment of the day
where no bird flies or twittering in the valley
nor the color of flowers seen in the plain,
when he held me in his arms to return to the beginning of time

it was a day of dead silence,
with no sunlight reflecting on the tree
nor a wind passing through the leaves,
when he left me after a long and deep sigh without a word

it was a dusk with full of a melancholic air,
the river did not flow in the gathering darkness
nor the waters surf to shore in the desolated beach by the sea,
when i gazed him from behind, the enervate image crumbling to fall

Cry Baby

Toddlers yammering
Grinding wild berries
Misty hopes dwindle
As the rays gray over
Another gaze through the dark
As stars dance round the moon

Boiling degrees melting the night
I wake up to life’s norm
Another day, counted blessing
Dourer than yesterday
Optimistic the Red Cross drives by
Or more graves we shall dig

Whom do I query?
Whom do I turn my vex to?
Who has the reservations?
I believe the milk is not spilled yet
Cheers will still wheel around
Crying tears of deliverance

Strike the souvenirs
Haste to the cries
Behold you save a life
Patriotic to your belief
Don’t let hunger drown us
Tomorrow eager my ministry

Dust will shoe your boot
As you hustle and bustle
Loads will enervate your back
But the medallion is worth
From heaven open doors
Your shack shall brim over.

Better

A futile and doomed love
May be worse than nothing,
For nothing is nonexistence --
No impact, no effect, no feeling;
But this drains emotion and motivation.
This is my talent buried in the earth,
A fey magnet for thoughts and hopes,
A roach motel for the soul;
Its synthetically sweet fumes beckon,
And enervate and kill.

Thirst For More

Thirst For More

Form new bridges, and dispel hardship elsewhere.
Costly moves break ties with a direct hit.
Enervate what's left of reminants along the way.
Keep nearer pastel roses of friendship.
Bemuse as oneself, would aspire with fresh roots.
Mend entitlement of a disconnected spirit.
Of brighter tomorrows, furnish to fit.
Stirs creativity of partly woes and endearment.

WAKE-UP SLEEPING FRIEND,
LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD,

BASE OF CHEMATICS,
HACKING INTO YOUR SYSTEM.
WAR-MINDED TACTICS,
POWERS QUICK TO CONDENM.
RISING EMINENT-DOMAIN,
POOR FAMILIES' GRIEF.
MAN-MADE ACID RAIN,
FOOLS CRAVE FOR RELIEF.
CYBERNETIC CONSPIRACIES,
PURE POLITICAL JARGON.
MILITANT MERCENARIES,
MISSING CRUCIAL CALLING.
MIGHTY STANDING REGALS,
ALIEN DOMINATION.
UNLOCKING HIDDEN POTENTIALS,
MONUMENTAL MISSION.
FLUNKIES' VOICE RESONATE,
EQUAL WAGES DENIED.
MASTERMINDS ENERVATE;
LESS-FORTUNATES' PRIDE.
SHORTING INNOVATIVE STOCKS,
DISHONEST INVESTORS.
SUDDEN MAJOR GRIDLOCKS,
POWERS EVIL GESTURES.
FACING DREADED BLIND WALL,
WHO WILL PASS THROUGH?
SPEAKING OF PROTOCOL,
MAYBE IT'S ME AND YOU.

WAKE-UP SLEEPING FRIEND,
LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD,
TIME TO RISE FROM THE ASHEN,
