All along
Life is like a candle in the wind
Encountering dangers sometimes
Life is fragile like a glass
Sometimes feeble and sickly
Life is like a messy rubbish dump
Sometimes uncertain and aimless
Life is like a sudden rain which comes like fate
Always unforcasted and helpless
Life is like a beggar
Always begging for more
Life is like a prayer
Sometimes with great expectations
However
Life can become an iron bar
Not easily bent, strong and firm
If you've a strong faith in god

Lord Baltimount is coming! The hiss arose in the throng.
The army was unnerved, they had heard of his song.
He did not take prisoners, he sliced and diced until dead.
This new feeling of discomfort lead to all kinds of dread.
He has arrived! A scout of the worst sort told us all.
His helmet is enormous, and his sword is not small!
Hear the enemy’s horns? That is the brute’s call.
We don’t have a chance; most of us will now fall!
The battalion was in awe as Lord Baltimount came near.
He was tall in his armor which covered all of his fear.
I turned and ran away from the front, my mission clear.
As his slicing began, accompanied by his own jeer.
The Battle of Thundersore was about to commence.
Baltimount lifted the sword and a head hit the fence.
I turned tail and ran for my life, a coward for real.
Lord Baltimount is a product of the devil’s deal.

Meeting the Saviour
Hell boy now worships
Acknowledging God
Supreme Creator
Whose power is love…
Trusting the Lord
He yields with faith
Ready to serve
Midst gracious might…
Heaven-bound
He shares peace
As victor…
Joyful
He leaves…
Hell*.
*2Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.

How surprised I am to see you
on my monitor
grey haired and laughing
not a frown on any corner
Were you laughing that night
when I first met you
when you locked yourself out
and I climbed up a ladder into your
Painted Lady
with its art everywhere
or were we all just drunk
my daughter says,
Oh, look at him
how much he has changed since he fell
down the cliffs at Blacks Beach
and lost his whole face
but kept his life I say.

God of changing changelessness.
God of endless surprises,
confounding the confoundless.
You are the God of Paradox,
revealing to children, that,
which you hide from the learned.
Those mortals you touch,
utterly transformed, Divinely
refereeing matches between
angelic wrestlers and mere mortals,
Jacob becoming the limping Israel,
Moses’ staff raining down plague,
terrorizing those who terrorized,
the vanquished becoming vanquishers.
The angel adorned ark, the
secret weapon of your Covenant,
the enslaved now the rulers.
Shepherd royalty, blossoming deserts,
lions at peace with the lambs,
children playing with cobras,
Angelic announcements
a Virgin conception of the
God/Human who serves
but refuses to be served,
creation murdering the Creator,
the Dead not remaining dead.
Divinely bestowed paradox,
abundantly planted in history,
who am I to question You
about a broken left ankle
on the Eve of my retirement?

in beautiful
isolation
the feminine red
melts into
the stream of life
becoming one
with all around
travelling beyond
birth and death
denying static dogma
embracing
all that is seen
and unseen.

Encountering unicorns at the zoo
Sally freaked out when they started to moo
She told her big brother
He said not to bother
Those unicorns had turned into beef stew

Nature’s garnishing
Us with crystal white
Soft and suttle under the moonlight
Frigid winds blow
Here with a bite
In the city
We are all asleep so polite
Winter hasn't finished with us yet
Before springs blossom come
She’s still a threat
Reminding us of her wrath
Bathing us with a path
Of winter kisses
And cold snowy wishes
So don’t put away those boots
Mother nature has new recruits
To keep you busy
Shoveling snow until your dizzy
But don’t worry
Spring will come in a hurry
Bringing summer right behind
Into the grind of hot weather
Then we can all complain together!
