Encountering the Seasons
Nature’s garnishing
Us with crystal white
Soft and suttle under the moonlight
Frigid winds blow
Here with a bite
In the city
We are all asleep so polite
Winter hasn't finished with us yet
Before springs blossom come
She’s still a threat
Reminding us of her wrath
Bathing us with a path
Of winter kisses
And cold snowy wishes
So don’t put away those boots
Mother nature has new recruits
To keep you busy
Shoveling snow until your dizzy
But don’t worry
Spring will come in a hurry
Bringing summer right behind
Into the grind of hot weather
Then we can all complain together!
