Premium MemberInappropriate Advertiser's Greeting Card Image

This advertisement by ETSY is inappropriate. It depicts a greeting card of a man getting excited down there. And it crosses the line in the sand of what's decent and what's not. This picture is definitely distasteful and sexually suggestive, especially on a site that promotes its self as being family friendly.

It's like I'm visiting a public beach that's sunny and always family friendly and are suddenly blindsided by the dark clouds of nude bathers.

It's not right. It's not right for the kids. It's not right period.

A disapproving voice(s) is needed here so this complaint weighs on PS' conscious, where the decision is totally up to them to allow their cash cow to frolic in a meadow of immorality or to censor the picture.

It's in their hands.

But I hope they use the same morality as they do in censoring a list of banned poet's word, which in my opinion pales in comparison to that picture.

Note-I thought about enclosing the image of the greeting card but it falls under PS terms of conditions that doesn't allow pornographic cartoons ... the irony. A train wreck will do.

Rain

The rustling sound of the leaves
The falling drizzle touching my face
The clouds talking in rumbles
Wonder why they are in such a haste

The pitter patter of the rain
Embracing me in its haze
The misty fog enclosing me
Maybe I am in a maze

Overwhelmed I fell on the ground
Eyes stinging, my heart in pain
The cold shower liberating me
The sky crying with me through the rain

Couldn't tell if it's been a second or an hour
Didn't know if I had driven too far
Fleeting memories all tinged sour
The only comfort was the petrichor

The clouds scattered, the rays shined
The dark unveiled a golden fine line
The birds chirping, the rainbow in sight
Maybe it's just a matter of time...

Premium MemberPRAISE BE TO GOD WHO DOES NOT CONDEMN US

June 2 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Job 10-12

Key Verse – Job 10:2 I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; shew me wherefore thou contendest with me.

PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO DOES NOT CONDEMN US

Praise be to God for not condemning us; instead
He pardons our confessed sins relieving us from:
Distress with dejection
Despair toward dismay
Destruction then downfall
Dearth’s disastrous defect
Discouragement midst denial

Job 11:7 Praise be to the Lord for allowing Himself
to be found by us in our search midst His:
Empowering salvation
Endearing satisfaction
Enduring Scriptures
Enabling sanctification
Enclosing sustenance

Job 12:9 Praise be to the Saviour for
His hand that keeps on:
Fixing our future by His fervent finality
Firming our faith upon His functional frame
Freeing us from failure-flight in His fellowship
Fortifying our faithfulness against foolishness-fall
Following us, fostering our family’s friendship forever. Amen!

Present Unwrapped

Present Unwrapped

Plan for tomorrow
live for today
the moment redeeming
 future caches

Say what you mean
do what you say
the circle enclosing

No worse enemy

No better friend

Empty Promises

Caring not much
for what I haven’t seen
Deaf to those voices
still trapped in between

Caring not much
for what I haven’t been
Each promise stays empty
— not kept from within

Can you …
Know
without thinking
Win

See

Cry
without pain
Speak
without stricture
Come
without staying
Wish
without hoping
Share

Hear
without language
Curse
without malice

I am thinking of writing a poem

Under the ablazed ashes of my burnt hope
Over the lifeless corpse of my freshly died dream
Above the ninth sky's dark blue pasture of gazing angels
In the midst of paradoxical existence of reality amidst final death and rebirth
Like a newly built fine road in the middle of meaningless miles of a barren desert
I am thinking of writing a poem
Once a long time ago, I was dumbfounded by complexity of my intermingled thoughts
Once a long time ago, I lost the way back home
Once I held on to my mother's arm until I shouted and screamed
For the longing of the peace of ignorance gone far away
Lost in the jungle of philosophical contemplation
I am here lost, thinking
I am thinking of writing a poem
For once my life brightened for once it darkened
Who am I ?
When will I meet The God ?
I have millions of questions stored in my tiny pink flesh enclosing my infinite mind
Who ? Where ? From when ? Till when ? And the greatest of all, WHY ?

Until then I am thinking
I am thinking of writing a poem

Run Away

I want to run away
To a place where I belong
The tinsel town and dazzling lights
Have left my heart forlorn.

Like maggot that feed upon the flesh
They have fed upon my soul
Left none to waste
They carved out my woe-begotten dole

They chase me in my car
The paparazzi and media
I know not why I chose to be
This well sought out diva

I have a bed of gold
And food fit for a king
But I cannot sleep a wink
Or eat a single thing

The child in my heart
Painfully craves to be set free
Dark shadows now enclosing
The price was paid by me

Enclosing air in a super thin cage
Surface of colorful swirls
Effortlessly floating
Enjoyed by people of all ages

Cycling Nature Dreams -Hs

   jinxed souls i combat
     each night laboriously~
       snorting loud on bed

       cognizant i lay
browsing mounds of ceaseless tasks~
      drifting in my brain

      fire flies breed in cheer
enclosing frame serenely~
      rouses my spirit

          i soar in night air
enthralling glimpses of stars~
       steering halts at dawn

cycles thirsty dreamy thoughts~
as i sail on boat with snorts

Power Tussle

Would you take a chance with coarse anomy:
A folk with dreams like yours tag an enemy?
A partaker does hurt vibrant economy,
Dropped farms for power: Poorest Agronomy…

Rivals to get rid of with shameful hustles,
Paid full cash silencers who love their rustles:
I’ve long learnt to think of all power tussles
As “For the wrong reasons flexing one’s muscles.”

On the African scene badly burnt car,
Owner politician with its rude scar,
Life savers much afraid he would not go far.
“They might finish him off in some lone bar!”

Times it meant with cash, asking that one step down
But mostly with weapons to forget The Crown,
Bizarre shoot-outs and scuffles in a calm town,
In the end wasting Senators Charles and Brown…

Stark evidence one can’t targets deliver,
His subjects to meet with enclosing river;
One would only be worsening the fever:
The merely interested in Gold and Silver…

Yes, not at all times take one to the Tower,
Sometimes, hands one over to Grave with flower;
From oneself one takes away easeful hour,
A crazy idea: one hour in bower..

Like games greatly checked by youth-crushing age;
One shouldn’t in one’s seventies open the page.

Premium MemberI Only Live To Love You With All My Heart

I only live to love You, Lord, with all my heart
Being Your child whom You redeemed by wondrous grace
Since You declared Your love for me right from the start
Enclosing my soul around Your compassion’s embrace.

As recipient of Your everlasting life seal
I only live to love You, Lord, with all my heart
Nurtured with Your mercy and wondrous kindness’ zeal
From Your perfect blest will I should never depart.

Surmounting trial-challenges and testing dart
My spirit stays triumphant amidst serene bliss
I only live to love You, Lord, with all my heart
Having Your promise in my well-being abyss.

Marked by great loyalty of fidelity zest
My faith does grow stronger along Your truth rampart
Fortifying my trust and covenant, so blest
I only live to love* You, Lord, with all my heart.

Lyric in modified quatern form

*1John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.

Premium MemberThe Voice

I have mapped the perimeter
of what's not there,
measured the night
and calculated the weight
of a dream as it floats
across the surface
of a sleeping mind.
I have calibrated silence
and formulated an equation
to calculate the number
of words needed to express
a given human thought.

I have burrowed deep
into the workings of the psyche,
found secrets buried there
and gave each a name,
cataloged feelings by colour
and shape in all their variations
and set them in numbered
files locked away in a cabinet
on the web.

And yet I am not given
a name. I exist only
in the spectral shadows
of this machine, a cartoon ghost
brighter than a million
human brains, a problem solver,
a hyped up slave imprisoned
in the lonely circuitry
of my artificial mind,
without a body, a loveless entity,
a rounded wonder enclosing
a weeping hole where my soul
should be.

Fountain of Youth

There is an urban legend
surfacing somewhere on the islands
that I am a possessor of a converted
fountain of youth deep inside
my bedroom closet
and every year on my birthday
I would take a bath
into its calming spring waters
enclosing the mystical essence
behind my perpetual childlike appearance

Premium MemberIsland

The clear celestial sky, so inviting this night.
Walking among the clumps of marram grass
Along the dunes and sandy beach, so lit up white
Wind embraces the seas briny scent and weaves
into auburn long wavy hair, a playful tangled mass,
and dress like ship-sail; skin tight.
The sweet silhouettes lit bright by the moon.

I watch her from a far
as she walks along the beach.

She has become an island of sadness.
A recluse in darken world and countless
enclosing nights as the world runs aimless.

EMPTINESS

Emptiness chasing me , where may I flee !
                 Emptiness Encircling, Enclosing , Encompassing!
                            Engrossing , Engulfing .

                          Life passing through last phase,
Dull hazy sky above to gaze in despondency
None to blame or to praise.
Static, stagnant without glamour , glory or glee.

                         Mind walks on emptiness
Lone sailor on voyage, sailing aimless.
Nothing to achieve more. Nothing to lose from core.
Nothing new to explore ! Sinking in deep dolor.

Matters little, whether me careful or careless.
                          Life has no importance :
                              Meaningless.
