Rain

The rustling sound of the leaves
The falling drizzle touching my face
The clouds talking in rumbles
Wonder why they are in such a haste

The pitter patter of the rain
Embracing me in its haze
The misty fog enclosing me
Maybe I am in a maze

Overwhelmed I fell on the ground
Eyes stinging, my heart in pain
The cold shower liberating me
The sky crying with me through the rain

Couldn't tell if it's been a second or an hour
Didn't know if I had driven too far
Fleeting memories all tinged sour
The only comfort was the petrichor

The clouds scattered, the rays shined
The dark unveiled a golden fine line
The birds chirping, the rainbow in sight
Maybe it's just a matter of time...

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
