Wood polished so bright to mimic gold,
Its yellow coat glitters in the sun,
May even fetch a high price when sold,
And still be cherished in the long run.
Like a flawless gold that flaunts great wealth,
Its glamour, a pride to regal thrones,
Where most kings recline in pride and health,
Yet it's mere wood disguised as gemstones.
Great craftsmanship like that of goldsmiths,
Who shape raw gold to forge pure beauty,
So carpenters carve wood into myths,
Emblazoned pride into their duty.

I blow smoke of dreams to daffodil streams,
beneath the sky, engrossed in love’s last sigh,
while this heart quivers, drunk on astral fever,
in the kohl-lined arms of the cold midnight,
kissing my soul in silver slivers…
O velveteen warrior, allow my gaze to trace lifelines~
sailing interstellar seas of electric stars
wrapped in whimsical wisps,
to leave our closing phrase on the lips of moon-haze,
as I breathe the silk of Luna’s wistful breeze~
drawn from the rosy dusk of his restless repose...
And this pearl ~ the nebulous clarity ~
emblazoned in pixelated poetry,
shall be the timeless spark of twin flames,
amidst the pull of bruised-blue silence…

Serpents slither here. Scorpions hide beneath our bed spreads.
Spiders, bugs, sticks, ants, and centipedes occupy our beds.
We have coasts. But what use of these? They burn with sultry heat.
Pirates sail to our harbours with their armour-filled fleet.
Predators of all kinds have filled our once lovely islands.
Where, once, flora and fauna flourished, wattles and burrs shake hands.
Our architectural castles seem to crack and collapse.
Dilapidated sanctums of temples reveal time's lapse.
Archaeologists try to explore our mausoleums.
They find noxious inland Taipans in murky museums.
Dogs bite their masters; cats, like tigers, cull their lords with claws.
Cows, bulls, and goats butt, stamp, and pin their herders for no cause.
Arrogance and aggression emblazoned by humankind
Their hearts and minds by evil thoughts, words, and deeds are maligned.
This place too is made by God, I know, like other places.
But, to cut the heads of others, here, each one runs races.

Be sparse like the saltbush plains
of the outback, short on adjectives,
mostly verb and noun. Let the sun
scorch shadows into the sand,
hollow out some shade where a little
life can hide from the heat.
Celebrate the light, its clear passage
through the air, hard as the sharpened
edge of a steel blade. See how it cracks
the land, opens wounds where
the inland snake hides and brews
its venom in perfect silence.
At night feel a cold descend
from a sky emblazoned with stars
set in the icy distances of space.
Endure a solitude that drains the soul
as it leaks out towards horizons
of absolute nothingness,
here,
come face to face with yourself.
Note.
The Australian outback is largely
a dry and unpopulated area covering
around 70% of the total land mass
of the country.
By comparison, this arid region
equates to a little over 50%
of the area of the United States,
( excluding Alaska ).

A long time ago, grandpa told me
amateur athletes crossed oceans and paid the fees
Every four years a noble spirit arose
emblazoned on a torch, fiery and free
A spirit clear, shining bright and true
the Olympic spirit, one that cut through
The claptrap of power, regulation and rules
crossing the finish line in brotherhood

Trailing clouds of glory do we come
Until by the end we are left dull and glum.
How it all came to this
We are responsible
For being so remiss
The magic of our early moments
Emblazoned in our minds
Fades and disperses with every pressure
Our world brings to bear upon our pleasure
Exams, bills, targets, workday worries
blunt our perceptions
And drive them undergound
Occasionally to spark alive in a dream state
Eluding our grasp
once we come to our senses
Wide awake and once more blind
How to recapture
And to resurrect
That rich inner spirit
Which came with our birth
That should be our aim
Too many earthly concerns
Within our clay
Must take the blame
For that loss of courage
To break free from the constricting frame
Forcing us
To forget the beauties of the day
To play the stultifying economic game
The stifling straitjacket of life
Keeps us playing

My shame is my scarlet letter
Sewn stitch by stitch by years
A scarlet letter emblazoned
An alphabet on my chest
A superhero’s symbol disguised
Find me a phone booth
Tear off my Brook Brothers shirt
Pull down my J Crew pants
It’s good to see my scarlet letter
Fly like a speeding bullet
Save us before we fall
Into the maddening crowd
Is it a superpower
When everyone has it too
No man is free from shame
All of us Hesters in disguise
Superheroes without shame
Some heroes act without applause
Some of us for Pearls in oysters
I can hear Dimmsdale’s sermon
My Chillingworth condemns me
My scarlet letter beats on my chest
My shame for all to see
My superpower my weakness
My weakness on full display
God chose the weak in this world
We bring shame to the strong
We are the stones of Zion
We cause the shameless to pause
Look back on our scarlet letter
Shameless in our exposition
Without shame what are we?
Without the scarlet letter
Aren’t we just numbers?

One with the Universe, Drifting Quickly and Swiftly
Trodding a Steed of Triumph, I Dazzle in Nobility
Starry Eyed, I Blaze in Infernos of Gold
Golden Fleece Forged, I'm a Heroic Soul
A Golden Ballad for the Seven Seas
Blazing Chariots Of Light, Upright Towards the Heavenlies
From Earth to Jerusalem, a Solar Staff of Fire and Gems
Thriving Off Emblazoned Wings Of Zen,
Steadfast and Cageless, I'm the Fearless Riprider
High Glider, Wings Wider, I got that Buddha Fire
Beyond the flesh, the Treasure Chest
A Trove of Spiritual Wealth, in Bliss the Soul Rests
Righteous in Truth my Hearts Aflame
Seek the Inner Tabernacle it paves The Way,
No Mountain Too Tall If You Truly Believe
Find The Courage and Wisdom to be Set Free,
And Know, The Truth Within Is All You Need
The True Power Of The Golden Fleece

The sun sets leaping in fierce golden shafts
As days shift shorter with Winter’s warning
We seek emblazoned fires from the chilled drafts
That glaze windows from iced winds each morning
As twilight falls stale dead leaves swirl rifting
Barbed smells of Pine and Tannin Oak scent streams
From forest floor fumes in brisk air hinting
Drab pumpkin, peach and tawny spiced Fall dreams
Sit quietly, watch dusk’s seasonal show
November’s clouds spangled in etched fire stun
When a portrait clad in sheathed splendor flows
A palette of Fall woods under brazed sun
That bring us grand tidings of this season
Where peace reigns and war has little reason

And there, painted
and playing in sweetest frame
is the timeless province.
There, suspended
by the arches of axiom,
with sputtering brushes
of wielded coherent structure.
I drown upon spearing fear
in the devilish qualm,
splintered to scattered scree
upon the wuthering face
of this old, roaming sphere:
in continuous form
and bristling invariance.
Here is one soul
stripped of fire's bite.
I have my tools at hand,
extensions of my form;
yet the tendons are emblazoned,
threatening to break
upon the simplest gesture.
I dare to say
that I do not live:
I am suspended in a desert
where life once drifted.
I once was electing Truth
but am now spirited into hushing,
principled in my lightened travels.

I let go the moon, but keep it's mystic glow,
I let go the stars, but keep their pixie dust
I let go the day, but keep it's embraced night
I let go the sky, but keep it's sobbing clouds
I let go the breeze, but keep it's chilling bite
I let go the lake, but keep it's frozen dreams
I then let you go, and I keep your memories
deep in a rosebush guarded by it's thorns.
I let go the ache, but keep it's remnant tears.
ecliptic secrets of few lost emblazoned years
As love turned to forgotten hate and apathy
I let them all go again, but keep irrigating hope
Without you ,mi amor, my heart levitates
I let go being alive... but just keep existing.

Enchanting cabaret lady,
In your sequined dresses,
And velvet blazers,
Your beauty dances,
With your Brows,
Like wings,
As your love sparkles,
Within,
Like a star,
Within the hymns,
of night sky,
Your breasts,
Tender,
and,
compassionate hills,
Where a sensuous peace,
And velvet,
Sighs,
for your loving beauty,
Nostalgia of shores,
Romance of moons,
Blush of irises,
Cabaret lady,
Your exotic hair,
And,
Caress of jazz,
Warm, sweet winds,
Accents,
Of,
Your kindness,
Emblazoned,
Upon rare and fine waves,
Flowing,
With,
Flowers glowing,
Night stars,
As you lovingly,
sway and dance,
Into a surreal stillness

Her exotic brunnette hair,
Flows,
With her long gypsy,
Skirt,
Emblazoned,
With surreal flowers,
As she sashays,
Through the beaded,
Light,
To the sweet chimes,
To relax,
Carefree,
Upon the rose velvet couch

Dignity, purity, hope,
Entwined in a delicate rose.
These are the colours which hold
The futures of all women to come.
Run, run, run,
To the Free Trade Hall we run,
Eyes bright, souls lifted, the taste
Of excitement on the tip of our tongues.
Suff-ra-gette,
Was the name they gave us, scribbled
In every single newspaper, as if to say
"THESE WOMEN ARE TROUBLE."
Emm-el-ine
Pankhurst, her name. Equality, her goal.
The union, her child. The cause, her pride.
The name "SUFFRAGETTE" became our own.
Man-che-ster,
Where it all began. Where
The fires of change lit and stoked and
Spread their message in the dangerous smoke.
Da-vi-son.
Whatever became of poor Emily? I heard
It was she whose body trampled
Beneath the hooves of the King's horse.
Im-prison-ment.
Prison, the only place strong enough
To handle our emblazoned spirit. And so
They dampen it with poison down our throats.
One hun-dred
Years passed since our victory. I
am young but their strength runs through me.
My present is the history they endured.
To the women who came before,
We continue on your notion.
After all, it's "deeds, not words"
Which set the change in motion.

Summer wearily sighed then softly closed her door.
For three months she lingered, and now she'd slumber
while Fall lays a carpet of leaves upon the forest floor.
Her swirling wind gathers them in abundant number,
bronze, russet and crimson, all fringed in burnt umber.
In a cloudless sky, the cry of migrating birds is heard,
flying to a warmer climate as Autumn begins to unfold.
When Nature births a new season, changes are spurred.
A saffron sun warms the Earth with fingers of gold,
and a harvest moon ascends; glorious sights to behold.
Autumn days are emblazoned with dazzling coloration,
painting vibrant scenes like no other season can bestow.
I welcome her annual arrival with joyous acclamation,
knowing the nights will be filled with starlight aglow
before Winter laces the landscape with crystals of snow.
