Ecosystem

i have an ecosystem inside me
an entire forest
and you've somehow
scratched and carved your name
on every single tree

Cane Toad

Toxic darts unveil,
Dominating land is mine
Greed is on the line.
Form: Haiku

Ode To Bats

Soaring through the sky of early fall
   Abolishing mosquitos, eating for all

Your siren song echoes in the night.
Hungry little teeth white and bright

Webbed wings flank the higher you soar.
Dark vessels visible through the black uproar

You’ve joined all your friends in your endless hunt
Soft chitters of excitement flow through your bunch

For bats eat the stealers, back to the blood
Warm and well, swarming like floods
Form: Ode

Ecosystem Heart Failure

See within those starry skies,
Beauty of binding vines,
Fluorescent meaning lies,
In its parting petals spouting lies.

A clams soft pink shell,
Glints in thousand little pearls,
They glide gracefully and swell,
Winding around the rivers swirls.

The white serpents eyes are peach,
Tempting, soft but out of reach,
High up in the turquoise trees,
It's flicker preceding a cool breeze.

The glowing fruits are unfamilar,
No beauty is ever similar,
Eating one would erase the river,
As well as the beautigul glimmer.

The grass shall sustain instead,
The roots of the waters might,
It's coming from the river bed,
And will surely set things right.

The peachy glimmer on waters shell,
Relinquishes its glow for now,
Floras torrent said go back to hell,
No calm waters at this hour.

The grass has grown in your head,
No ecosystems full without fauna,
Water fuels both now one is dead,
Powerful serpent still along a

River

World Environment Day - Ecosystem Restoration

When encroached buildings on water beds are removed,

The water beds stretch
More water birds they fetch
Pink flamingos, pelicans, crake
And purple swamphens, fill the lake
Kaleidoscope of colors they make

When the use of plastics is reduced

Soil becomes more fertile
Good organisms cheerfully grin
Biodiversity sustains
Healthy food they make us avail
Help flourishing all our lives

When the ecosystem restoration is done

Our mother earth will happily smile
And our mistakes, she'll forgive
The more she smiles, the more she gives
The more she gives, the more we smile
So let's make our Earth smile...

Humans attempt to save the rainforests…
Well, some at least.
Trees laid to rest. 5
Fragmentation of habitats.
Large expanses destroyed,
Leaving smaller, unconnected patches.
We need to restore the damaged ecosystems
With the help of planting trees. 10
Trees are diamonds.
Delicate and elegant.
We need to protect the rainforest
Before it’s too late.
Fossil fuels must be reduced 15
Or else there will be no animals to reproduce.
All we do is take.
We take and take and take
Until it becomes a problem.
One hundred and thirty-seven species of life 20
Driven into extinction each day.
Extinction impacts species,
Humans as well.
Rainforests are one of the largest biomes,
Providing ecosystem services. 25
Natural resources for production,
Regulation of climate and air quality,
Filtration of pollutants, pollination of crops,
And the generation of money by recreation.
Saving the rainforest is like a marathon. 30
Always staying focused,
Patient,
And motivated to achieve a set goal.
It is green, the color of life, nature, and renewal.

I feel stuck in a web of moving on
to leave home behind.

I want to be free of safe turtle shells,
to commune with naked nature
including human,
divine,
humane,
wombmain
not excluding any egostrong stability,
identity,
fragility
as if intolerable
to civil integrity.

I need to grow free,
to feel communion
within
without
above
below
for and of all nature/spirit souls,
timelessly copresent in- and ex-carnations
explicitly remembered
and vaguely
curiously
transparently
vulnerably forgotten
fuels of felt fame
exhausted and ingested,
sober and jested.

I am asking
invoking,
exhaling and inhaling,
possibly provoking
Earth
and all Her Tribes
all Her Eternal Times,
all Her Sacred Spaces
impressed
and suppressed
and depressed
wombmain neural regenerative Places:

When I must at last choose home
between secular wise purpose
and sacred integral meaning,

Remind me,
Mother's birthing nature,
of all our polypathic indigenous ways,
of all organic truths
indicating this ego identity could not be all trusted home
within one compassionate EarthLove.
